How many live series diamonds do you expect your favorite team to have at release?

Interesting to see what everyone's expectations are.
For the Cardinals I think it will be only Goldy and Arenado.
I think possibly Helsley and Edman are mid to high golds. -
For the padres I can expect 4. Manny Darvish, Soto, and Tatis once he returns to the 40 man. I can hope for 4 more in Xander, Hader, Musgrove, Kim(longshot),

3, Maybe 4 or 5. Strider, Acuna, Riley for sure. Possibly Harris, but I see him at a high gold to start. Max Fried will probably be on the fence too.

I'll be honest I expect most diamonds to drop a few points to begin the new season. I could be wrong but it seems like last year the three year average thing applied to their starting rating and then they rose and fell based on the current season play.
It's why I expect Edman, who was an 85 at the end to fall back to gold. Helsely actually made it to 89 last year so maybe he holds his diamond with an 86 rating or so.

This is a pretty good guess I think. Tatis will get one once he is back on April 20th. Manny for sure. Soto ended as a gold but for the last 3 years he definitely should be one. I think Darvish or Hader have a good shot too.

I do hope fielding matters more... They usually say that fielding will matter more and then it don't. However, after playing the tech test I noticed that defensed did matter in outfield, at least.

I think there will only be three diamonds for the Yankees. Judge is going to be one of the highest diamonds in the game so he will surely be very expensive, but the only other guarantees are Cole and Rodon who I see being an 88-89 so even they won't be too rare.
They will definitely have quite a few golds though between Nestor/Rizzo/Bader.

For the Angels, 2. Trout and Ohtani. For the Twins, 2. Buxton and Correa.

3 or4 for the Phils. Wheeler Nola and Turner maybe JT,another if Harper is on starting roster(similar situation as Tatis)

Well, in the ratings it makes a difference depending on the position of the player but whether that translates to the field we'll wait and see. The problem is that they don't upgrade defense during the regular updates I think that they only update them once or twice.
