As a Cards fan gives me shades of Pujols off Lidge, wow an absolute missle
That ball still hasn’t come down yet either
Might find it on the moon later lol. That was a perfect perfect swing if i ever saw one
It’s not the longest shot I have ever seen at Minute Maid but it’s dang near close.
Farthest shot I've personally witnessed at Enron:
I don't have a video to back this up but I was at Enron when Barry Bonds was chasing 70. The roof was open and he was taking BP. Tal's Hill was still in centerfield 436 ft. He hit one over the train tracks dead centerfield onto Crawford St. It was an absolute bomb.
I was also at Dodger Stadium in 1973 and saw Willie Stargell hit one over the Pavillion in right field and into the parking lot. That was in game so it counted lol.

Yordan Goddamn Alvarez is.
That is all.
Did anyone make a “it’s almost like he knew what pitch was coming” joke?!?!?

I got to see Barry's 499 ft line drive blast to center field in person, longest in Oracle park, it got out in a hurry!
It was extra special since I'm usually only able to go to one game a year.

Also worth pointing out (not for sour grapes but to give M’s fans perspective) is the first “yor-daddy” rbi “double” was actually a 339’ fly out with an expected batting average of .139.
Kelenic easily runs that down in any other park.
It makes no difference if Yordan or Bregman “knew what pitch was coming” or not. You still have to beat them.

I’m not saying Yordan knew what was coming on the bomb he hit yesterday, obviously.
But, I am curious what this statement of yours means. I’m reading it as: it didn’t matter that the Astros cheated, because you still have to win. Is that what you are saying? I am a little confused by it. -
Personally, I think the only “cheating” Yordan did was looking at their previous matchup on the iPad.
I think my point was that it makes a lot more sense to just credit the opponent when they succeed, instead of looking for excuses.
All of Toronto seems to be in denial of their team’s shortcomings.
Similarly, a lot of Mariners fans are already calling for Scott Servais’ job, which is absolutely ridiculous.
They pitched Ray out of the pen because they had already decided he was not going to get a start vs Houston (based on his season numbers against them).
It kinda makes sense. These are the arms you have available.
SOMEbody has to be able to get Yordan out if they want to beat Houston.
-
All teams check their iPads. Checking and execution are different.
1-3 with 2 walks before last night. That's Yordan vs Ray. Yordan sure AF was expecting a low inside fastball. And he got heeeeem
-
Yes, exactly. Ray had previously got Yordan out with a two seamer. Yordan saw that on the iPad, and was looking for it. Robbie’s second two seamer leaked middle middle.
Yordan won the battle. I don’t get why people feel the need to second guess the manager.
Tip your cap and move on. Surprisingly, even 23 year old Jarred Kelenic could see that.
-
Lotta neighbors dogs getting kicked for fieldgoals tonight up Washington way
-
I refer to him as " Our Yordan Savior " and he delivered us from trials and tribulations
-
Let’s see what happens today. I’m expecting Framber to be a lot of trouble. My pick to click is Kelenic pinch hit double after Framber leaves.
-
He can't keep getting away with this.
-
Why do they keep pitching to him? At least work around him lol
To be fair that was actually a ball haha he just crushes everything.
-
Dude is a beast.

lol all of toronto in denial? what are you talking about? we have an incredible team year in and year out - one of the best teams in the MLB with a great history - we need more canadian teams as there are tons of trash USA teams
-
And to think the Dodgers traded Yordan to the Astros for Josh Fields. Josh who???????LMAO
-
Just leave the Yordster supercharged for the rest of the postseason
-
Yeah, dude goes oppo 371’ with 98 well off the plate. Tip your 🧢.
Maybe the 378’ wall in Left Center at T-Mobile will help on Saturday? -

Maybe the 378’ wall in Left Center at T-Mobile will help on Saturday?Even if the Mariners season ends tomorrow this has been a really fun ride and I think this will be a rivalry for a few years now at least, Mariners are just going to get better from here. Alvarez has carried the Astros in this series. Altuve is 0-7 with a walk, Bregman is 2-7 with 2 RBI's, if not for Alvarez the Mariners might actually have a 2-0 lead.

Agreed. The future is bright for M’s fans. I love how they played yesterday! I can’t see anything they could have done differently, really. Sometimes the ball doesn’t bounce your way.
After the strike three call to Cal with bases loaded, and JP lining into a dp in the 9th, it seemed clear the baseball gods were not going to let the M’s win.
