Moments and showdown get the first pack. Use that player to earn pxp.
If you can finish the Moments. I'm on my THIRTIETH attempt at the Homerun with Semien.
It's either a ground ball or flyout at the warning track

Guy has no power, he failed me completely against Wilson in the showdown so I may be a bit frustrated with him.

Of course, right after I posted that he hit a homerun. But still.

Come on...you know what I'm gonna say.....everybody together now...switch to directional, hold up, swing with power and enjoy finishing all of them in 15 mins.

I was running Directional the whole time.

Wished they had some exchanges or made the pxp repeatable so I wouldn't have to do the Showdown. It was easy, I did it first time, granted I was down to my last out vs Wilson, but I just hate that mode so much I'd do anything to not have to play it.
I rented the Leiter card to help with missions, lost a couple thousand stubs in the process, but had it knocked out in a couple hours along with the new conquest map.

100 points : 16 moments worth 48 points. showdown worth 25 points, pxp missions with Always Intense players worth 27 points
Pack wise, its the usual. A few standards, the 2 Always Intense choice packs and if i remember correctly, a BIAH.
Cool, thanks. I had a feeling that "loaded with packs" headline was an exaggeration. Oh well, at least it's a new program.
Im looking at it right now and i just realized there are 2 five pack bundles. In total you get :
11 Show packs
1 BIAH
4 Headliner
11,500 stubs
2 AI packsNot bad for a few hours of grinding.
Is the showdown as easy as the Big Dog one?
I did the show down in about 20 mins last night.

How many of the hitters do you have?
I thought I would need to buy the but forgot that I went on a spending spree when alot of the stuff (FB/Legends) were close to QS value and I had all the hitters except Chapman (took with my first AI pack in the program) and Goldschmidt (took from the second pack).
The reason I am asking is I put all the hitters, plus a few regular cards, in an Event lineup and played the new Event.Five games in and I'm 400 PXP away from completing the program.

I just had Juan Pierre untili got the 2nd pack. But an 0-2 conquest game is 20xp. So it wouldn't have been that bad if I had 0.
So I'd recommend playing Moments, then showdown. Picking Hand or Leiter and then renting the other. If you want to do conquest.
You could do Moments, then showdown, then pick Leiter and play a full game vs CPU score a couple runs, then just pitch a whole game, will get you pretty close, at most it's 2 games vs CPU using Leiter for 9.

If this was meant for me; I'm already on the last PXP (2,000 I think) mission. I just played Event games.
But for people that don't want to play online; then what you stated is a good route.

I'll repeat, meh program. Programs based on packs, so boring and stupid. Just "here's some [censored] to do."
So underwhelmed by DD this year, in pretty much every way.
-
I did the moments and Showdown and that's all I'm doing. Not going to do all of that PXP grinding for what little is left and I'm not going to buy cards for it.
-
For the life of me i cant understand why people who view playing the game as a chore insist on buying it every year just to complain about it.

How do you play with AI players if you don’t already have packs? I have the earlier Brian Wilson which I just played with and didn’t get any XP in the program.
Short answer is you have to buy them.
Not sure what the mind set at SDS is this year but I'm not a fan of the whole you don't get points if you don't buy certain players or get lucky with packs. I guess you could wait and get Betts, Wilson etc. when they get down to 10/15k but call me crazy when a program comes out i don't want to have to wait if I don't have stubs.
This.
I had most of them from completing the Brett collection but yeah, seems annoying that you need a good stable of these cards to get the PXP missions done in an efficient manner.
Thanks. I may pass on this one once I get the moments done. And I’ll do the showdown. I hate showdowns but if it’s that easy I will give it a go.
I bought the Leiter card for 12K and just used him as my starting pitcher for the father's day conquest. Had all 2K PXP done before finishing the conquest map. Also had 3 OF, but most was earned by Leiter.

After watching a YouTube video comment, I did the same thing. I also bought Juan Pierre and Brock Holt and later Brian Wilson. So yeah there is way to do it pretty cheaply tho buying the Brian Wilson kind of messed that up.

I wasn’t going to either but there’s a whole string of those cards that are 10 K and relatively cheap. By Leiter and you’ll get PXP in no time.

Showdown was as easy as the big dog showdown.
Want to do mine for me then? I still haven't been able to beat Franco in the Big Dog Showdown
