I love the fact that they released so many cards that you can earn for the collection. By the end of the program it should be easy to get Brett.

I’m a little confused about how the market tanked - don’t you still basically need 80+% of the cards per category?

Came out today or came out a 2 weeks ago it’s still way too much. To make 100k stubs you need to play for like 4 or 5 days, maybe even 6. Unless you have a faster way. And I’m literally looking at it rn You need 16/16 voucher. There’s only 16 vouchers. Babe Ruth, Mauer, 2nd half, prospects, Allstar, awards,breakout, FOTF,Milestone, Monthly Awards, postseason, prime, rookie, signature, tops now, and veteran. You need all of those to get Brett. In prior years you could skip one

It is a lot right now, but lets not act like the release of 1 Takashi card and 2 awards cards in a cheap fashion doesn't cut the price of him down by half a mil

They said the same thing last year with mookie and kershaw and with trout the year before but they were more attainable than this. No collection is supposed to be easy that’s why it’s a collection but they went over board with this one. That’s all I’m trying to say. And plus They are a million dollar company which means they do strategic things like this to try and make us buy Stubs.

I dont mind it being tough. That said I was fairly prepared. Had about 90% in each category with roughly 400k stubs. The only major buy I had to do was Brandon Crawford around 95k, the rest of the guys I had to get were under 30k. Just needed to get Blackmon from the program and 4 cards from the path to get him and just took an hour of gameplay.
I'd say just focus on live series, mauer and babe in that order and then make sure to grab all the cheap cards you can ie (event rewards, base round cards from packs, etc.) I expect they slowly start adding signature, milestone, prime and awards categories to make those easier. The rest of the categories have cards from this program.

There is only 16 vouchers because the 17th voucher has not been discovered yet which is the FS one. No one has locked in 27 FS cards once they do the voucher will be discovered and will then show in the collection. This happens all the time with this game.

I think reattaching some exclusivity to a few top tier cards is great. The last few years made getting every card way too easy. As for all the SDS is becoming EA talk, you realize SDS isn't a
non-profit, right? They should try to make $. They also owe that to their shareholders. Just my 2 cents tho. -

The collection is pathetically hard to get except for those buying stubs or that stay at home playing every single day, all day.

I felt like I did a lot of prep and was poetry confident based on the last two years of collection would be fine. SdS shot well past the 80 to 85 percent mark per series. I had a spreadsheet with a plan and contingencies and they shot that to hell. Unless you preped AND sitting on a million coins you can't complete the collection today. Even with all the coins you need to complete much of the program to get the other cards you need. And most of us will have to wait till Tuesday when they drop the Topps NoW. Not everyone should completebit day one but more than one person should be able to. I can't even begin to know how deflating it would be to see this collection and many don't have LS completed yet. I guess I don't mind it being so hard for Brett but maybe make the tiers within the collection. Maybe coin rewards for collecting so many before the voucher. Or maybe do what they did with Griffey last year and give us another player for half the Vouchers. Lastly, not only did they get us with the amount of cards for the collection but they also shot the market. Basically no one wins in this deal, even SDS loses because people now dislike the game even more.
