Do you guys prefer events over Ranked because it doesn’t keep track of your record? I’ve never understood why there is such a difference in stress between ranked and events. People care about their record way too much in this game for some reason.
No, events overall are more rewarding for hitting and pitching. It seems like Ranked Seasons have a different set of sliders and good input success rate is lower, events is more casual IMO.
I’ve never thought sliders were different personally. And again, the casual thing is up to you. You can play any game mode casually.
I don’t even really agree with the casual argument. Some of the biggest try hards I play are in events for some reason. Never understood why.

If there was no rating and no expensive reward for ranked it wouldnt be as stressful. Also the time invested into a single 9 inning game puts alot on the line. You're essentially playing for your happiness in those late inning. With events there very little on the line and alot less time invested
I definitely get the time commitment part. But why does rating or expensive reward matter if you’re not even going to play it because of those things? I don’t play ranked for rating or rewards. I just play it because I like the strategy of a full 9 and I can use any players I want.
Its just another stress factor. If you value going for a high rating and earning those cards then it adds stress to those games. Events dont quite have that value

It is easier to take the crazy pitcher confidence/clutch impacted wins/losses in a three inning event game than in a nine inning game. Ranked is just so frustrating when you have a game completely one sided and then out of nowhere it flips in the last inning or two. Sure we can say “that’s baseball”, but we all know this game does crazy stuff in the last few innings of games.

But you aren’t getting that high rating in events either lol.. that’s what doesn’t make sense to me. You’re not getting any rewards or rating if you’re not even playing RS. So how can you say you value those things?

To me, your RS record is kind of like your KDR in a FPS game. I remember being proud of my spinning nuke emblem in COD MW2. Yes that is kind of silly, but competition can do that. I agree with you though, gaming should not be something to stress or worry about.

Bro just read. "If" you value those things, it ends up being stressful playing ranked. "If" you value just having fun hitting nukes and winning low stress games you play events. It's not a tough concept

I can read fine, bro. Clearly you value those things if you get so stressed playing ranked, but you aren’t earning those things by not playing it at all either.

You clearly can't read or understand context clues. The vast majority of people play ranked for the rewards and for their record/rating. Thus why its stressful for THEM and THEY dont want to lose. I dont even play ranked because i work 40 hours a week while taking 5 classes I barely even have time to play 3 inning event games. So no I dont value those things. I did a year ago when I had alot more free time but we're talking about other players though. I never once mentioned myself. I clearly was talking about the player base that plays ranked which doesnt include me. Let's say even if someone doesnt care about their rating or the rewards you're still investing 30-40 minutes of your time into one game. You wouldnt want to waste all that time just to lose and not get the satisfaction of winning right? The comprehension level in this forum is astonishing.

You sure made it sound like you were talking about yourself but I guess you were just speaking for others. You could’ve just said time was an issue for you instead of talking about stress and “playing for your happiness in those final innings.” I guess someone else told you that’s how they feel if that answer isn’t even how you feel.
Maybe don’t answer questions for other people and there will be less confusion.

I wish that matchmaking would sort by interfaces. Zone hitters/Pin Point players could only match with like opponents and settings couldn't be changed once the game started.

No, I never once made it sound like I was talking about myself when it came to the rewards and rating, I said "if" you value those things. I literally said in another post that last year when I had more free time I grinded the game really hard. That's when it was stressful for me trying to win every game. Nobody told me anything about how they feel but I was there at one point. Anybody with an ounce of competitiveness in their soul would rather spend that 30-40 minutes and win than get smoked for 9 innings. If you're playing ranked and you're not trying to win then what's the purpose. Just play against the computer at that point. There's stress when you do anything competitive that's the whole point of "ranked" play

I would hope I get match up with someone using timing hitting and analog pitching. Zone and pinpoint are huge advantages because theres significantly less RNG in those interfaces.

I prefer to win or lose with as little RNG as possible.

I know one thing I play mostly on HOF in ranked and when I play mini I play on HOF also
I played BR yesterday after not playing that mode in a while and the pitches seemed sooo much faster and just speed of play(winds up) seemed so much faster than RS on HOF or even All star. It was very weird. Anyone have a clue why?

So anyway, about fouling balls off 2" from your neck... Haha!
