The Return of Pepe Alazar. What is with SDS Infatuation with Fake Cards?

SDS just keeps piling up the L's.
See you guys in a month.
You aren't excited about another korey Lee card? Lol
-
If you wan't future stats to stop then you got to go convince dan Quisenberry to give SDS his rights. Until the Royals, Diamondbacks, and Rangers have more legends its not possible to do programs where every team gets a card without future stars
-
They should have made this one of the first 2 programs with lower rated future stars. The fact that they're 95s overall and probably better than almost every card in the game is ridiculous. No one wants to pull an Arrenado from their lineup for a Joe Schmo that wont be in the league for 3-4-5 years.
This is supposed to be MLB The Show....not MLB The Maybe In A Few Years

So I know the debate around this series of cards has been around for awhile but seriously at this point why is every still surprised. Future Stars has been apart of this game since 2017, so 6 years of this game pretty certain they are not going anywhere.
Also it's a fantasy mode we have players from all generation players with an against each other. So we can be OK with Babe Ruth facing off against Jacob Degrom and that's believed able but a projections style card (something even real life commentaries try and do) is the fantasy line we can't cross?
Honestly, the issue is more how good they make these in relation to actual players/actual seasons. To me Future Stars cards should be more on the henchmen level of attributes. I guarantee at least 10 of these are going to be very, very good and will effectively marginalize the MVP Reggie that comes out today.

Joe Schmo has a promising future, can't wait to watch his career progress.

That's such a worn out argument as well because let's face it, in just a couple weeks anything released this week will be marginalized by something else. That's DD it marches on.
SDS has 7 months of content to produce and I for one would rather we get 95 Future Stars now and the in August get the biggest names in the game so I can enjoy them during Sept and Oct months when I am back inside after the summer.
They way these are released and when they are release is very stragic and makes perfect sense

And There are still a bunch of legend hitter we still haven't gotten good cards for yet. Jeff bagwell, goose, Luis Gonzales, Brett, Dibble,... I was hoping this would be high 90s legend and flashbacks.

Again, I need to point this out.
As a kid, the BEST, most sought-after cards in baseball card packs were rookie cards. (cards of players that had yet to prove anything at the major league level)
I see this merely as an extension of that and I don't mind it one bit.

MiLB the show is not what I enjoy playing.

Why not have high school players? They have proven as much as some of the “future stars”.

Because they are not part of the licensing deal.
I agree with the above poster in that this should have been the first program. The FOTF cards should be higher rated in my opinion. The two programs should have been flipped.

Future stars come out this time every year, 99% of them are good for a few weeks and then get replaced by the bigger legends when they come out... Again these cards are about growing the game in general... People always get mad when they come out, but most of these guys won’t be in a lot of July line ups.

Hey don't come here an use logic and history didn't you read the rules
-
I understand the motive for the future stars because for fans of about 15-20 teams currently they don’t have much to be excited for except their top prospects.
I dislike this way of doing inning cards (if it’s the same as FOTF) because you can’t sell the randoms you have no interest in using and having so many “bosses” makes it feel watered down.
I’d feel more excited about it if there were like 6 bosses of the true top prospects with elite cards rather than 30 cards with 10 or so cards for players outside of the top 100 prospects list who most likely never play for the team they’re representing.

It’s not logic, it’s an opinion (Learn the difference). A lot of us do not like them making these completely fake cards/attributes when they have so many better options available with real MLB players. They could do a “great months of baseball” series to give every team a player card from a good month that player had. At least that would be based on reality.

Absolutely.
Here's why I get pissed though. I have to wait for a usable Bagwell card even longer now because of this fake series stuff.

I’ll take one Reggie Stocker then if they are coming out with more fake cards.
I second this! Bring back Stocker!

Bro I been complaining about these “fiction cards” from day 1! Nobody cares. SDS does whatever they want. They could be doing so much more though. Instead of the “fiction cards”, they could produce hundreds of flashback cards for current players.
-
I don't mind these cards. There might be a few that stick in my lineup for a while.
-
I don’t hate future stars, I just hate how insanely juiced they always are. Love the prospect series. Adleys prospect card should be as high these cards go.
We just got a highly anticipated Roy Halladay. Now he’s going to be washed out by super juiced players that have barely played any MLB games (if any at all). I think that’s what people hate about them.
