It takes a human .03 seconds to blink. It also only takes .03 second for a back door slider to become a right down the middle meatball.
You can't say a perfect pitch should go in the PAR and have times where it doesn't. There are quite a few times where perfect pitches do not go inside the PAR. Noticed a lot of inside sliders doing this. One's that should be a foot inside off the plate finding the edge of the zone.
Show me proof the same way Zalot did. I have yet to see any actual proof of this.

They just have to touch the par, right?

I think 50% of the ball has to remain inside the PAR.

My gripe is there isn’t consistency and that it defies the laws of physics. If I release a fastball late then it should be lower where I initially intended. Release early, and ball should land above the intended spot. There’s no consistency, and it seems to always go in the opponents favor for “balancing” cause you’re slappin em. Ima post a couple quick pics just for an example in a moment

https://imgur.com/a/Q8kcnuMHere’s two from the last 30 minutes of playing. These two are far from the most egregious examples I could share. I can dig through the archives of my ps5 if anyone wants some more compelling evidence.
I would delete those screenshots. They were on the edge of your par. You should show ones that are missing the spot by 8 inches. Not 2.

yep, I can't tell you how many perfect throws I've had that end up down the middle when I set up below the zone or inside.....most of the runs I give up are off said pitches. I understand if im off early on low pitches and the pitch hangs, but off late should be lower as the other poster said.Im not taking the time to take screenshots of these pitches because I shouldn't have too since they happen so often.
My only guess is it has something to do with clutch attributes or some other artificial stat like confidence

Except they don't happen and you're still within the PAR. The PAR is what's reaching that area.

Those screenshots all show it working as intended. Seems you don’t understand the mechanic.
This is the conclusion I have come to with all of these posts. Most people claim they know what it is but really don't understand the PAR and how it works.
When I pitch, I aim my PAR, not the ball @Zalot____PSN. If you have half the PAR outside the zone its basically a 50/50 shot at being a strike.
This exactly. The baseballs ended up in the intended PAR region everytime despite the few seconds and degrees off
Fellas I’m well aware of the PAR and how it works and that aspect works fine. Pitchings been my bread and butter in my 7 year mlb career. I managed to go 82-10 in seasons last year solely due to my pitching, as my average was the worst it’s been since I started playing (~249?)
My gripe was more specific, as in the direction the ball should go when releasing late or early by hundredths of a second, same as with slight left or right when the user has a slight angle on their perfect input. That’s my gripe. It’s literally complete rng and in almost all cases benefits the opponent when you have a lead. Here’s one more example where you would expect with a perfect release 3 degrees more to the left than intended, you’d expect it to be more inside the zone but instead it ends up at the absolute opposite spot.
Edit: And to add, I agree with the post a few up from mine regarding confidence/clutch some other behind the scene nonsense that is SDS’ specialty.

I think the issue is that it has to be completely perfect in all aspects to be in PAR and the amount that you miss has no correlation to how far off the PAR it is. So that slight 0.03 miss in timing despite perfect in other ways means the pitch will go where it goes, when it really should be a lot closer to the PAR because you got "perfect"
This is probably the fix for all the complaints about people painting the black do much last year.

and my problem isn't the lack of being "perfectly" where I throw it. The problem is when it forces pitches down the middle on a pitch with feedback that is perfect or even good....

You have to aim your PAR. I have had 0 issues with PAR and every complaint I've seen tied with evidence so far has just been proof that it's working as intended.
Don't want your pitch going down the middle? Aim with your PAR not the ball, keep it out if the middle of the zone.

I did this and it noticed that if the PAR works, but a ball can be barely in it and count as PAR, but I would think the whole ball should be in it. on off pitches the ball seems to randomly go to places, but mainly would be high on early and low on late. But it isn't steady because I had a several late releases that went high and that shouldn't happen

I think the issue the OP has, isn't with PAR, it's with the penalty for PPP. Unless everything is perfect, you get wildly different results instead of oy being off by as far off as you were with your input.
In other words you shouldn't be throwing right down the middle on a pitch that you set up on the corner, if you only just barely missed your timing.

that happens in all pitching modes.....I agree they shouldn't go down the middle often but they should potentially catch more of the plate. Last year was just dumb when the ball went exactly where you wanted it every time.

Right, which is what I think. This was a correction for that. There should be a penalty for missing, but the penalty for missing PPP should not be the same as missing on Meter. Instead we just get a smaller PAR and the penalty on PPP is the ball will be outside of PAR at any random place the RNG decides.
