Dude they lowered Machado clutch by 5 to keep him an 89. They know everyone invested in that card and there are tons out there. They are manipulating the market. Plain and simple. .651 OPS in late and close games, which is probably the metric they use for the clutch rating; the clutch perk is for 7th inning and later; it could make actual sense.

People look at only a guys overall batting average and go "why did they downgrade this guy? He has a a higher average than x player" not bothering you check their splits or see what position they play to see how the attributes are weighted. People that don't understand baseball stats or how the updates work trying to say SDS does t watch baseball and that their update is wrong. SDS is incompetent when it comes to a lot of things but this one just sounds like a bunch of people that don't understand how things work.

Seriously though they probably are going to give you guys 90 on Machado next week, unless Machado he goes 0-3 one game he will drop to 85 with 62 contact against righties.

They made him slightly worse Vs Righty but way better Vs Lefties with inside edge+ Vs righty I still think his a better card now .

I'll give it to him, the walks and no HRs is impressive but he is giving up almost a hit per inning pitched. If he wasn't so insanely dominant with his walk numbers his WHIP would be way over 1. If you look at Kevin Gausman and go "yah that's the best pitcher in baseball right now" then I don't think you understand baseball.
