I just read the patch notes and I gotta say looking at the exact words they used.. they're not confirming anything. All they said is "fixed a bug that prevents matchmaking while 120Hz output is enabled". That could mean they just reverted to 60Hz. Let's see what actually happens.
Nah I think 120 hz will work. I mean it’s already enabled for offline play so I don’t see why they would have to revert back to 60 hz being that Xbox plays online at 120 hz. I think the issue was just as they said, the bug was with matchmaking online with 120 hz mode on not necessarily playing at 120 hz.
I hope I'm wrong and we will find out soon.
My complaint with this forum from a sds standpoint is why can’t we get clarification on these types of issues? This should be so cut and dry and it’s not for some reason.
Oh yeah I can write a short story on their silence.
And if they ever did reply they'd tell us they were busy, lock the thread, and probably ban some people in the process.
Why is it always gaming companies that seem to treat their customers the worst?

Is it capped at 60 hz or 60 fps? There’s a difference. Also we know the game can run at 120 hz on ps5 because it works offline.

Seriously, I wish I was able to talk like these smart tech guys in here. If you run a dual port through the 2.1 extender, then the hz sim cables will mega drill past the o.i. triple cat 5e. -

They won’t go backwards. If anything this will just increase demand for PS5s
Doesn't matter how much the demand is increased if Sony can't meet the demand

They wouldn't make a new car with new features, then disable the new features to be loyal to customers that paid for the previous version... that would just be bad business. They should and better be upgrading PS5 to 120hz... because that's what PS5 users paid for. PS4 users never paid for a 120hz system... so they need to buy a new console to get it. 120hz imo should have been enabled at launch and needs to be added asap because this is a Sony game and it's better to play on a Microsoft product... that is not good business for Sony.

You are totally missing the point .the point is the PS5 is not readily available has nothing to do with loyalty..the reason they are "holding the PS5 back" is because they would hurt their sales since there is such a low run of ps5's.
You can't tell people they have to buy something that is not available to them.

If you can't get a PS5 fine, but you need to accept that this game should be an inferior product on the PS4.
Also I can tell that none of you play any other games but this one. Quite literally every other game that has crossplay has PC thrown in the mix
