Also this is only a next gen update so who knows what they have up their sleeves. If they enable it for ps5 I think they could easily make it to where it’s only next gen vs next gen for online because that’s how it is for playing at created stadiums already. We’ll see.

I believe you’re right. No way they would have half of the player base, or more, play at a disadvantage. It wouldn’t be fair IMO.
It’s already not fair for ps5 owners. I don’t wanna turn crossplay off because I wanna face the best of the best on both consoles. What’s the point of even having one if we can’t take advantage of the power. They can’t wait for the majority of the player base to have a next gen console while Xbox has had it since 21. Anyone would feel the same way if they had one.
I don’t personally care as I have both ps5 and the x but I have to think that’s their line of thinking. You can’t cater to the few people that have a somewhat difficult to attain piece of hardware. I’m certain they have tons of players on ps4 and the Xbox one. Until these next gen consoles are readily available, I have a feeling you’re getting capped at 60. I’d be more than happy just to play against people that have next gen hardware because the games are much smoother in my experience. Since sds is silent regarding these issues, and nobody’s ever confirmed there’s a distinct advantage from using a series x, I’m personally led to believe we’re all playing at the same level.

Which is why it feels smoother and has better input. It might say 120 fps but it’s probably duplicating 60fps. I know some have said that too because they have a pc and can tell it’s not 120 fps.
There have actually been a lot of test with games set up at 60fps, 120fps and 240fps, and there are actually some people that cannot tell the difference. Then on the other end of the spectrum some people can tell the difference so much it actually makes them get a sick feeling playing fast paced game at 120 or 240 fps after playing 60fps their whole life. Its weird.

Next gen means better performance better everything sooo I dunno but I do know ps4 should be stand alone game for ps4 like madden is just saying kinda sucks ps4 players going against ps5

I think you’re spot on. I myself switched from ps5 to Xbox x but simply cause I thought it looked cleaner. If it’s faster or is 120hz I couldn’t tell you I noticed the difference in that vs the ps5. It totally could be and I’m not capable of noticing the difference. I wish would could get some clarity from the guys that actually make the game…

I just read the patch notes and I gotta say looking at the exact words they used.. they're not confirming anything. All they said is "fixed a bug that prevents matchmaking while 120Hz output is enabled". That could mean they just reverted to 60Hz. Let's see what actually happens.
Nah I think 120 hz will work. I mean it’s already enabled for offline play so I don’t see why they would have to revert back to 60 hz being that Xbox plays online at 120 hz. I think the issue was just as they said, the bug was with matchmaking online with 120 hz mode on not necessarily playing at 120 hz.
I hope I'm wrong and we will find out soon.
My complaint with this forum from a sds standpoint is why can’t we get clarification on these types of issues? This should be so cut and dry and it’s not for some reason.

They are sold on the internet by shady people between 650 and 850 euro
There is a big chance u don't get anything if u pay
In the stores the prices are 399 for a digital and 499 for a disc edition
Only shifty thing is that can't say when they have em, and when they do have em they only got 20 in so, so they are sold out within an hour

This is why I don’t believe PS5 users will play at 120hz online, unless they allow old gen users to matchmake against old gen only
Xbox already has this advantage so I don’t see why they wouldn’t allow ps5 the same.

Is it capped at 60 hz or 60 fps? There’s a difference. Also we know the game can run at 120 hz on ps5 because it works offline.
