I maxed XP. I barely tried. It was way easier than the past.
We'll see how they adjust it going forward, if they feel the need.

Out of curiosity since I'm only sitting at around 110k so far, (just casually play among 2 other games) what mode/program did you play the most or go back and forth between to max within the last 3 weeks?

Or you could do all of those things while also earning XP. Also, mini seasons is still broken for me -- I get an unhandled server exception even trying to enter the mode after winning the first playoff series.
SDS won't fix your file corruption error. You can either start a new mini-season run, or look at that screen. Your choice.

One friendly game against my teenager. -
I have a question about the XP. Why is it that on some of the moments or whatever it says the reward is 1000 or 500 XP but when I play and beat it the postgame screen shows less than that total earned? What's the deal there?

They do but very few stubs. It's pretty depressing how few stubs those other modes give out.

I just played a 4 inning conquest game on legend.... 19 stubs lol

But you still progressed with universal xp before last year. I really don’t know why they decided to get rid of program independent progression, it was kind of fun to see if you could make diamond or higher by the end of the year. There’s nothing like that now, xp is only good for program rewards.

You love comment on these types of posts. Agreed play the game, but they made xp the end all be all so let's not act shocked when people lose motivation to grind when they've maxed out
Except grinding isn't the point of the game. Playing it is.
Strongly disagree. Diamond dynasty is a grind, it's a pursuit of diamond cards. If there were no grinding in DD it would be called franchise or season mode. Or what it's becoming, "everybody gets a trophy mode".
If we wanted to just kick back and enjoy a baseball sim video game than franchise is 100% a better option.
All my opinions of course.
I guess I assume people that play this game enjoy baseball. Yes DD is meant to be a grind but if you max out then play one of the many other modes (like you mentioned franchise) the game has. Or gasp play a totally different game!
I personally like the amount as I will struggle to hit the max but think I will assuming there's another collection bonus or program coming.

Wasn’t meant to be condescending at all. Just a suggestion. I have over 700 digital games between the three major systems yet do you know how many I play from April - November/December? Exactly one. So I can’t even take my own advise because that’s how stupid nuts I am over baseball. If I had more free time I might get bored with it like others apparently do.
So I guess my main point is that if you’re a big baseball fan then there should always be something you can find to play within The Show no matter what. If you strictly only do DD and max things out within a week of it being live then maybe understand you’re in the vast minority and explore other gaming options or hobbies. Expecting a developer to cater to the outliers is an unrealistic ask.

I by no means am one of the top players, and I have 10 days of the 30-day program where I gain no xp at all for any actions and have no real motive to play until the next program drops. Others maxed out way earlier than that.
It seems it wouldn't be too hard to award increased stubs when xp is maxed, or create an infinite epilogue to the program that awards vanilla packs or stubs every 100k or something after the end goal of the program.
This is definitely something that needs to be added regular show pack or pack for every x amount above the 600k. There is nothing worse than seeing big xp numbers after a game and know that is was meaningless.

They already said the next program will have a shorter duration. I’d be surprised if they didn’t keep the 600K cap even with the shorter timeframe.
Ohhh man, then the outrage there will be not enough time to finish the entire program….then they’ll drop the double XP for a whole week…..SDS can’t win.
