While there are definitely issues with the commentary, you don't spend over 2 years and countless hours changing over the commentary just to scrap it after one year. Expect to hear these guys in the game for 10+ years.
They could have kept the same announcing crew, added only half of what the new crew did, kept the name audio, added a few more there and it would have had a better vibe. I don't think anyone would have had a problem with that.
So now, you just get a bunch of missing names, mind numbing repetition and messed up cues, but with different voices.

You may be right, however why the need for change unless you get a better broadcast crew?

I couldn’t stand Plesac and DeRosa last year. Don’t really like them in live broadcasts either. I will say at least it’s not Pat Tabler. As a Jays fan I have to sit through an entire game where he has to repeat what Dan Shulman or Buck Martinez say. Or he will make sure you know that so and so really looks like a ball player.

Haha! I laughed out loud when I read that. As a lifelong Jays fan, listening to Pat call a game like he’s a confused old man stumbling around a baseball stadium in his bathrobe talking to anyone who will listen to him, I am so glad to hear some different voices in the Show. Shame about Buck, but having Dan Shulman in the booth is a welcome change and he would be a great voice in a game like this.

We peeked with sunday night baseball with Joe Morgan and Jon Miller. Best there ever was imo

I’ve never turned off pxp faster than I have this year. It’s like 90’s arcade level in most modes. I’ve heard some people say they were fascinated by it in franchise tho.

One thing Matt Vasgersian didn't do was talk incessantly. These guys do. The comments should be short and sweet, not running on for a minute when you're trying to concentrate on the pitch.

It’s pretty awful this year. The same stories (see Fenway park in college) have been on a loop.

I don't understand why they did a complete broadcasting replacement instead of just adding the new in. It would be nice to have some games with matty V and crew, and others with boog to mix it up between games. This is what 2K did with Brian Anderson.
