Never much got into events, but it helps build your I don’t care muscle. Used to feel my pulse jump after mu first flail at a slider a foot off the plate

You can play offline which i do 95% of the time, finish the collection then save your stubbs for when the HRD packs drop in 2.5 months then buy all of those nice rewards at a 75%ish discount.
This doesnt work if you buy packs however.

Yeah, won't be doing much RS this year. Last year, my first going full-on DD, burnt me to a crisp. My own fault. I'll work the BR programs, dabble in events, and just enjoy collecting the cards I want. I'm Tatis away from the LS collection, then I'll be good for a while.
I'm a franchise guy at core, and even though SDS has completely neglected that mode, I'll be there a lot more this year. Lots of great young players to develop until the regression code kills everything.

At the first taste of frustration during RS, I leave the mode. Sometimes I can get only one game in. Sometimes I can rattle out 3-4 during a play session.
Accepting the fact that winning or losing really doesn't matter too much in the grand scheme of life, goes a long way to managing RS internal rage.
I used to get bent, pissy and frustrated. Maybe being older allows me to give less turds these days.

I want to get into BR...but my experiences in RS over the years have soured me quite a bit being honest...I remember when Ddos'ing people was common place, lag switchers etc...the "the win at all costs" crowd and general toxicity of the community at the time is what ruined it for me, I'll likely barely make it out of ST rankings if I do, I'll admit I'm not super skilled...something that may change when I play more but still.

I'm the same way honestly. I take it too seriously and it's more stressful than fun. I play 95% offline and last year I had no problem getting all the cards. Just do all the content, grind US and mystery map, and grind mini seasons.
When Mini Seasons works.
But my main point, which I should've went into more detail, is that I can't earn them so I can turn around and sell them so I can get stubs to use towards the LS Collection.
That was going to be my main goal this year; but since I won't be playing after this weekend, it's a moot point.
Won’t be playing after this weekend? Are you quitting Shawn?

No. You won't. I'm starting a new job and won't have time to play. I'm either deleting this account off my console or since I'm giving the console to my nephew; he may just take over the account.
It will go under his email address and its up to him if he wants to keep the same PSN ID or if he wants to pay the $9.99 to change it.

It’s tough when you’re over competitive and have an addictive personality though. Makes losing feel terrible.
Sorry I’ve never taken DD seriously with the fake cards, god squads, and wide range of difficulty. Yes agree if highly competitive it’s tough, but that stopped for me when they removed online franchise

17 was the last year I enjoyed online, I loved playing in the Events. 18 stubs were easy to acquire so I didn't have to play online. But when I did it was terrible. I tried a little in 20 but got no enjoyment out of it.

Dude's not complaining at all, just self-diagnosing. Chill out.
Similar for me, but in that I can't hit worth anything. Don't want to spend hours "practicing," and don't want to spend a 9-inning game striking out 15 times. So this year it's Live Series (done), BR, occasional event, and single player DD.
