Why this game is an absolute joke

Analyzing PCI feedback etc will only make u nuts and stop u from getting better. I personally don't even think I know how to check it. Also I don't wanna know for previously stated reasons. The better player wins a vast majority of the time. That's fine with me

I don't think there are any metrics that prove the better player wins even a lot more..much less vast majority. We don't even know it's 50% of the time.
It's all very subjective.

Well, today I won a game on AS difficulty pitching with 99 Ohtani. Prior struck me out like 18 times. I no-hit the guy. The only run scored was on a BS home run by Chipper, pulled to RF AND THE BALL MARKER WASN'T EVEN IN THE INNER PCI. No joke.
We were both rated about 600, both with records slightly over .500. Hitting is INCREDIBLY HARD in this game. I might just bow out of RS -- it's flat-out not fun, and I don't have the time or desire to "git gud."
-
Who were the pitchers? Did his pitcher have drastically more H/9 HR/9?
-
Personally, for me, I just try to chill and play and whatever happens, happens. I try not to get too caught up in the bad luck aspect of the game. I’m sure over time it evens out for me.
-
Normal RS game takes 35 mins. When these R2 holders play it takes over an hour. Time for SDS to clean up a lot of things.

Yeah... let's get it out of the way. I lost a game and I'm bitter
I struck the guy out 19 times.... He struck me out 7
I put the ball in play 20 times.. 7 of which had PCI of 14 or high and didn't get one of those to be a hit.
He put the ball in play a whopping 11 times TOTAL.... ONE PCI of a 14. Everything else was a 12 or lower.... Including the game winning HR.
Now this is All-Star Hell of course since the season reset. But Can someone please chime in here and tell me Git Gud or defend the game to the end of times. Because that was literally the most frustrating games I have ever played.
I’ve had many games where I’m dusting my opponent and lose. Happened all the time in the early days 19, hitting lineout after lineout just to see my opponent get rewarded on their one good swing. I remember I was told “your facing Nolan Ryan you’re not supposed to be rewarded” lol sometimes the game shafts you.

Lol I feel yah. I just lost to a guy taht spammed inside 102 abs I hit 5 to the warning track , he looked like grandma swinging at a piñata but I lose bc of on swing and 1 forced pcu error…. Lol I reported the dude becaus she had a misogynistic rape sounding name . I normally wouldn’t have but spite made me want to tick him off since I can’t message him
LOL... the Ol' Spite report
Yeah bout to do another. Just lost to a dude I struck out 15 times that made solid contact once….. meanwhile I hit 5 to the track and multiple line outs while he has 2 hits. One seeing eye single and a random homerun somehow… absolute jokesZ they said skills matter, but they definitely don’t

This game is and has been for years screwed up by connections. You can't take this game competitively. Just play with different cards and not care if you win or lose. That's what I do.
I want to but as a college player and coach it just frustrates me losing to morons that have no clue about ball. Stick skills definitely don’t matter. What matters is home, inside fastball and sinkers with outlier and lucky swings. You know you’re screwed when all your balls in play are outs and the other guy couldn’t hit their way out a wet paper bag and spam pitches that would get wrecked in the real…. Definitely not made for real baseball people. I sometimes laugh at it but I sometimes want to reach through the game and beat the dudes [censored] for knowing nothing about ball and being able to win

It's not your opponent's fault. They just want to win..same as you. No, the entire cause of the frustration is in the RNG/DDA code that allows these things to happen.
I never get mad at my opponent, I get mad at the developers. They are the responsible party.

That is the part I don't get? Why even have the PCI and swing feedback if it isn't relevant and doesn't matter! It just gets people pissed off! Either make it matter like in the Pro Yakyuu Japanese game or get rid of it.
I for one am sick of making contact with the ball as the bat head is exactly parallel with the front of home plate only to have the ball be pulled foul by 200 feet! It's like physics doesn't exist in this game!
-
I lost one game on HOF 1-0… my opponent only had one hit, a solo homerun while I was hitting hard balls to his outfielders. [censored] like this makes you want to stop playing

Where do you see these pci stats??

Battle Royale seems to play so much better but it also gets frustrating at times using bad pitchers so gotta pick and choose

How do I check PCI placement ratings? I know I’m probably bringing myself a world of frustration with this ability but I’d like to know so I know which ones were good and which ones were bad. I mean I already know you want the ball slightly above dead center of the circle but I’d still like to see how some of my hits are rated. And what’s the scale? Is 14 the best or does it go higher?
And just to rant in harmony with you I literally played this exact same game yesterday. Dude was one of those annoying bunt dancers/R2’ers and I had 1-0 lead in the bottom of the third (event game) with two outs and he was bad bad bad. Anyways he hits a ball directly at my 2B (Soriano 92 fielding) and Soriano did the ol terribly unnecessary slide and let the ball go right through his glove like there was a hole in it and right when that happened I told my girlfriend watching me that his next batter was going to hit a homerun. Sure as sheit David Ortiz came up and slammed a no doubter. I looked at the PCI and the ball was on the far left edge barely touching it. So in my worthless opinion I 100% believe games are scripted. Oh and now that the Moonshot event is over I’ll say Chi Chi Gonzalez is a dam boss for me! 0.93 ERA through 38.2 innings pitched! I honestly couldn’t believe it. I’m sure it was a long stretch of luck but still...

I want to make it clear I'm not defending that, I would be livid as well. However, how is it possible to make it never happen? The only way would be all good pci is hits and all bad pci are outs, otherwise this scenario is bound to happen at some point.
And then we reward 12 PCI with the game winner in the top of the 9th..
how do you think the diamondbacks won the world series Gonzalez had a 7 PCI hit.

It’s painfully obvious when the game doesn’t want you to win. If you are playing someone that you are far superior to on that given day you can overcome it, but most of the time it happens when you are pretty evenly matched or even fairly better than your opponent and your hands are tied.
-
It is pretty obvious when you are seeing the ball better than your opponent and taking the proper pitches while putting well timed swings on balls in the zone. Meanwhile your opponent is flailing and magically hits a bomb every time they touch the ball with the pci. If you pay attention it often comes after a seeing eye single or bloop single.
When the game is playing even ten run rules happen, but whatever they coded into some games it is designed to be a nail biter regardless of input….in my opinion.

It’s in the batter analysis section. I believe if you scroll through the bottom categories. 15 is perfect if I’m not mistaken.
Funny that you mention the Ortiz Homerun and how you knew it was coming. I made my previous post on this thread prior to reading your post and said the same thing.
