I play on the 65" OLED with a 120 refresh and i am close to .500 is RS. Does it make that much of a difference using a monitor? One of my sons plays a lot of COD and said the refresh rate was pretty good for a tv. I am not buying a $1k monitor to play this regardless. That a lot of good wine!
You can find decent monitors for around $150. It definitely does make a difference but if you’re having fun now, just stick to what you’re doing.
The key is response time. I think most newer TVs are in the 15-20ms range. Monitors can be as low as 1ms.
I think the one i got is 1ms response. I will look....ty!

There are plenty of players around here who make WS pretty casually. And they also outhit you in every single category, yet they don't boast about it like you. Because it really isn't that much of an accomplishment, but we all know how happy you are with your measly 913 rating so we get it.

I have a 65 inch LG CX that I have been using to compare all of the monitors I’ve tried against. I have probably purchased and returned like 15 monitors and in my humble opinion the 240 Hz monitors perform ever so slightly better than the CX and other monitors. The difference between being late and good timing on a sinker online is very small and it matters.
Just this afternoon I played a game against Cabrera and the user had a 986 rating. I switched between the CX and the 240 Hz monitor every inning. I did nothing on the CX and was very late on most sinkers being totally off balance. I hit four bombs on the 240 Hz monitor with the last one having the guy dashboard in case I get some guys checking my game history. I hit like four to the wall on well squared up balls on the monitor as well.
I’ve done the same test with several 120-165 Hz monitors and the CX felt better than all of them.
The 240 Hz Alienware I linked in the original post is my suggestion.

I have the Alienware monitor. Do not recommend buying at all. Very expensive and I promise you it does nothing for a game like MLB the Show that caps at 60 FPS.
Save your money unless you’re going to use it with a PC for gaming other than mlb the show

I figured out a few things about the LG CX if that is what you have.
Turn off HDR and Variable Refresh Rate/G-Sync/Freesync on both the Xbox/PS5 and TV side.
Use the HDMI port in the back of the TV.

You can find decent monitors for around $150. It definitely does make a difference but if you’re having fun now, just stick to what you’re doing.
The key is response time. I think most newer TVs are in the 15-20ms range. Monitors can be as low as 1ms.
I think the one i got is 1ms response. I will look....ty!
I figured out a few things about the LG CX if that is what you have.
Turn off HDR and Variable Refresh Rate/G-Sync/Freesync on both the Xbox/PS5 and TV side.
Use the HDMI port in the back of the TV.
how do you turn off VRR?

Legitimately feels like I’m playing BR on All Star with this monitor in WS games. Very early on Cabrera, but can still see and time off speed fairly easily.
