you cant pause im between innings.............
You know what, you're right. This is probably a non-issue now that I think about it logically. No one can send a friendly if I'm trying to skip.
N/m. Carry on.
No, it’s terrible. What about when you are in pause yourself and selecting your bullpen, looking at your opponents bench, looking at the pitch chart, etc
All those things take hitting X and all your opponent has to do is pause and send the FQ request and hope you hit the button while moving through your menus.
It’s crazy they’d change something like this. I really hope they added a confirmation or something so you have to hit X more than once or this is the dumbest thing they’ve done.
Just played a guy with a CAP pitcher on the mound throwing 100 mph under handed with a 71 mph change up. I was pretty frustrated all game that this is a thing.
Luckily, my opponent was real terrible and I had a perfect game through 7 innings. I finally hit a homer to take the lead off the cap and in my frustration I replayed the homer to rub it in
Now I’m sitting in a freeze off due to my stupidity lol
I know, I know. All us normal people get annoyed with R2 holders in this game.
But, is there anyone more satisfying to just beat the **** out of? Is there anyone else that you beat that just makes you laugh and get genuine enjoyment out of this game?
All the normal people out there: What are your thoughts? Who gives you more enjoyment to beat? R2 holders? Bunt dancers? Guys that take 20 seconds to throw a pitch?

Curious how much these dudes have spent. Must be a decent amount right?
They're virgins so they lose anyway.
Ah yes, the age old virgin joke. Im married with children sir.... I just have more money than you
Ah yes, the age old "I have more money than you" joke. I am married with a son as well. I don't spend $1500 on virtual cards lmao.
Are you okay though? You got real defensive there really fast. Insecure about something obviously because I wasn't even talking to or about you.........
I am here to chat if you need a friend.
You were talking about him though. People who spend money or have all cards, you refered to them as "virgins" scroll up. Its still there.
Literally never saw his comment saying he spent $1500................. sooooooo get those balls out of your mouth kid.
Off topic but it’s “La Flama Blanca” Imagine paying homage to Kenny Powers but messing up the name smh
If they did this then I’ll just come out with a reliever as an opener and then sub in my SP with the opposite dominate hand and you’ll be worse off than you are now. Then we’ll have threads complaining about openers and the cycle continues.

Legitimately feels like I’m playing BR on All Star with this monitor in WS games. Very early on Cabrera, but can still see and time off speed fairly easily.
thank you for this post i am looking into new monitors and going to check out what you're saying
Dude your ranked record is under .500
Why does this matter to the topic?
Both of your records are under .500
a monitor won’t help
Lol your record is only 60-25. Imagine making fun of people’s records when you barely have a .700 winning pct and hit .262 with Shippett as your home park
To make it even worse you’re hitting .244 this season with Shippett. Holy cow that’s terrible to be judging someone else’s record haha
Agreed 100%
How is this Goose that different from the AS version that is paralleled? Just slightly better bb/9?
PinPoint is too forgiving from what I’ve seen. There are times where I mess up the pattern quite a bit or am 78% accurate but still get “perfect” pitches.
I feel like it should be a lot harder to get a “perfect release” or the penalties should be a lot harsher when you don’t get perfect
Right now, PinPoint is actually the easiest to get good input on (once you’ve practiced enough). I pitched with analog for 10 years now and after 2 weeks I’m getting more good inputs on Pinpoint than analog and that’s just purely because the range is so wide for a perfect rating.
I think it’d be better if you have to get 95% accurate on the gesture and then be within 2 degrees left or right rather than 4.
What do y’all think? (I know servers are way more important right now)
HoF is by far the most balanced mode of them all. All Star is a joke, legend is kinda extreme. HoF is just right
@raesone_psn said in Tell me with a straight face:
That there were no hitting tweaks in this update. The game was already feeling off and it's only gotten worse.
It’s really hard to tell when I’m forced to play a moment on rookie, a showdown on veteran, an event game on all star, and then a ranked game on HoF
️
I do know they broke tags at home. I had a guy thrown out at home by about 6 steps and the catcher had ball in glove waiting. Trea Turner slides and somehow kicked the ball out of the catcher’s glove and was safe. Never seen that happen once since I’ve been playing this game for the last 10 years.
It’s funny that you say that because I’m very excited for Madden but also really excited for the Field of Dreams program, event, and the new Stadium
I was going to the EA play for early access but now I’ll probably just wait until the game officially comes out
@kommandernkeef9 said in Man SDS messed this one up badly. Super bummed.:
Sucks. Just sucks. I’ve been a huge Show guy for years. I’ll continue playing also because there’s nothing comparable to it. But Pinpoint pitching has ruined this game. I agree, there should’ve been tweaks to pitching and the hanging pitches on good input. But this is too much.
A. It’s not hard at all. So anyone can get it down and hit every spot they want. Not realistic by any means. This coming from a guy that pitched professionally myself. It’s pipe dream haha
B. Saves too much stamina for pitchers. Degrom isn’t going 148. He’s just not. He’s a generational talent no doubt, but cmon.
I’m not superior by any means. But I make WS every year. Go 12-0. And make pushes into the 1100’s. This year hitting is impossible. Timing windows are outta whack, pinpoint is a broken system, and the higher up you play the more toxic those Top 50-150 players get. I’m bummed man. I really have always enjoyed this game. But it’s wearing me out.
Wish there was something we could do as a community. Because I see several posts like this from guys I respect a ton on this forum and this game.
I said this week one of the game release and got flamed. Glad to see others are starting to come around.
Pinpoint is still way too easy even after the “nerf” I honestly don’t even notice a difference. I just pitched 7 innings with Glavine and I think I might have had one pitch that wasn’t perfect input.
Do hot and cold zones affect gameplay at all?
It’s a free to enter tournament. Honestly, no one cares about e-sports for sports video games.
I’m not sure why they’d give any money out tbh. I don’t see how it brings in any additional revenue. But good for whoever wins and gets that $$$

So weird like I’m in the middle of a BR game and keep getting that message along with a DNS error message? No idea what’s going on
I rebooted before checking PSN and when I tried getting back in it said Can't Load Saved Data.
DNS service request error when trying to log into PSN on laptop
My bad buddy, my game didn’t count. Wasn’t just you
It might end up counting. I remember the first week of the game I got those pop ups in the middle of my 12-0 BR game. It kept popping up when I was trying to hit and I was getting so frustrated lol. Luckily I won and then it took an hour or 2 for the game to end up counting. Talk about a stressful hour waiting to see if your 12th win will count or not though lol

They go off of 3 year averages
2 years ago he was the MVP
Last year was a covid shortened season so you can't take those numbers too seriously
This year he's injured and injured players don't go downYeah 2019 was a great year but 2016 to 2019 he was an average great player. I am not saying he wasn't great but he wasn't gatekeeper great. He also averaged .255 vs lefties since 2017 which is longer than 3 years but has what 92 contact vs lefties? why? because he is the gatekeeper and his name. Acuna hits .265 to .275 vs righties but only gets a 72 to 75 contact rating. That is my whole point when it comes to the game. I could list way more examples but acuna is the one who probably has the best argument for the next gatekeeper.
Trout’s slash lines from 2016 - 2019:
2016: .315/.441/.550
2017: .306/.442/.629
2018: .312/.460/.628
2019: .291/.438/.645If that’s “average for a great player” then I guess Tatis, Soto, Acuna, etc are just good but not great players. If that’s average for a great player, than who else are you considering great?
Now I know you are just trolling for sure lol
2019 was probably his best statistical season and walking the 2nd most in the majors that year help with his % lines. He wasn't top ten that season in hits, doubles, triples, R.B.I.s , HR, runs, or R.B.I.... just saying
You’re wrong again. Do you actually look up anything or just try to bluff and hope no one checks your statements?
2019 he had 45 homers, good for 5th in MLB and 2nd in the AL.
You have zero credibility. Nothing you say matters regarding this topic now.

For what it's worth he was 5th in HR with 45 and was 1,2,2 in OPB, Slg % and OPS respectively. Also had a near 1:1 K:BB ratio with far more walks and fewer Ks than most of the guys in the top 10 of the categories you named. Fewer games and ABs than those guys as well, but that could also be factored as a negative. All in all I would say he had a very good year.
ETA: the number of games is what factors more into accumulation stats that you named like hits, HRs, etc.... on a per AB basis I'm not sure there's very many guys in the league I'd rather have than Trout... just gotta stay healthy.
The point is though if you were starting a franchise today and pick Trout... that's a risky pick because there are a half dozen guys that have similar offensive numbers to him that are durable and missed less games the last 5 years than Trout has missed in the last 2. No matter how great you are... it's useless if your not ever on the field. I guess I'm too much of a "what have you done lately" type person because I don't rank Trout as valuable as a lot of guys because he hasn't done much to help his team in almost 3 years now (2019 season)
2019 was 2 seasons ago
Mike Trout was better than Acuna and Tatis in 2020 as well…
I know people are tired of Trout being #1 but it doesn’t change the fact that he is. Complete ignorance to suggest otherwise.

Injuries. Still hit 45 homers in 134 games. When Trout plays, he is by far the best player on the planet
I guess Acuna sucks too. Guy could only hit 24 homers this year. He must have no power
Also, walks don’t directly affect batting average or slugging pct lol
