How does one get by 5XBS in 3 games with Carter?
-
5 xbh with rookie Carter, quit trying so hard and you’ll get it
-
You can leave only batting tutorials on so when you boot up you get 2 meatballs down the middle, but it only works once. If you are on Zone batting, the tutorial pops up, but you can't be early or late on the swing. If you get a successful XBH, pause before the play ends then switch to Directional. You'll get a Directional tutorial pitch down the middle as well.
This can help us to get at least 2 of the 5XBH. -

It’s AS Carter on Rookie

I actually needed just two or three tries to do it. Power swing is your friend on this one.

What dragon said. You need to get to the third game needing only two XBH. Then I just dashboarded after my last at bat until I got them.
That way you can keep playing the third game until you succeed.

Yep, this method also worked for me.

I got my 5x XBHs with him on my PXP Grinding squad in 3 games vs CPU! So, I also got some extra PXP for a bunch of other cards! Actually, it was 1 full game and 2 hit-and-quit at Coors. Plus that was worth 10 program points instead of 5 and it was quicker!

I paid up and did the exchange. There was no way with the way that I play this game that I was going to get by this moment.
Same here, it was too stinking difficult

I have tried it all. With normal swings he's a flyout waiting to happen. With power he can't catch enough to hit enough out. I've gotten to 3 or 4 of 5. Patience doesn't work as the CPU won't pitch jack to actually drive. It knows what you need to achieve and pitches at your knees or way out side. ANY SUGGESTIONS other then grind? I have done that... even the 5 XBS missions seems like a joke with this rookie [censored]!
I gave upon rookie games vs the cpu.5 straight games I was held to less than 4 hits. Swapped to veteran and practically walked thru the challenges. I avg 12-20 hits on this level. Just seems like rookie is homerun or nothing.

Yea it wierd I stopped trying to crush the ball and just used normal swing, got it no problem. I would suggest get at least 2 or more the first game and just reset the series if you dont get that though.

I’d recommend at least 2 in your first game or keep starting over as he’s better against lefties. It wouldn’t be so bad if he wasn’t so slow as you really need to gap it for doubles or get the early HR. Got 3 XBH against Snell and then it was over.

Power swing and pull the ball
-
I have zero interest in even trying these and all it will do is give me XP to end the inning grind sooner… which takes some of my enjoyment away from DD anyway.

This was the most annoying moment I've encountered so far. Don't remember how many tries it took to get multiples in game one but got super lucky at some point after starting the first game 0-2 I decided to play through and then I hit absolute bombs on three straight pitches to put me at three after game one so at that point it was easy.
-
It is not that hard
-
I'm not going back! I'm always a perfectionist BUT I'm not letting this BS moment cost me $60 for a controller. I got the 91 POG and I'm done... on to Ozzie which with my level 4 Story should be cake!
-
Worst f'in card ever, plays well below his stats, awkward swing and slow. Feel like I'm trying to hit with a common pitcher
-
Skip that moment, do the two offline missions where you get 5 XBH with the silver Carter and the one where you hit 3 HRs with catchers
Either hit carter first, or, stack your lineup with all catchers, hit and quit against the Rockies on rookie that will save you from that god awful moment
5 XBH with that card over 3 games with how moments play? Lol what a terrible decision...and I’m a consistent WS player sitting at 43-5 and I knew I wasn’t going to complete that moment without spending an hour at least...moments need a huge revamp

The 5 xbh on rookie moment is a joke. It's even a righty vs. lefty matchup in the first game for crying out loud. What makes it worse is the pitcher is all over the place and when he does throw a strike and you make solid contact it's a pop up or weak grounder. How is a rookie moment so much more difficult then the veteran ones?
