How does one get by 5XBS in 3 games with Carter?

I have tried it all. With normal swings he's a flyout waiting to happen. With power he can't catch enough to hit enough out. I've gotten to 3 or 4 of 5. Patience doesn't work as the CPU won't pitch jack to actually drive. It knows what you need to achieve and pitches at your knees or way out side. ANY SUGGESTIONS other then grind? I have done that... even the 5 XBS missions seems like a joke with this rookie [censored]!

If you don't get 2 in the first game, reset. If you don't get 2 in the 2nd game, dashboard, same goes for the last one in the 3rd game. Another option is to skip that moment and do the other missions instead

I paid up and did the exchange. There was no way with the way that I play this game that I was going to get by this moment.

I get all that but this player does not have the ability! Like another players says "warning track power/singles hitter". I tried a rookie game of play vs CPU in COL and the POS hits 2 singles... IF not needing for the 3rd Inning XP I'd say F' him

Exactly! I have about given up and wanted to do the missions but he can't even hit on Rookie... singles sure but driving the ball in gaps or HRs... NOPE

Sounds like we're all pissed at Carter for not playing up! I'm enjoying reading AP Literature essays for a full week's worth of work right now over the garbage that is Carter's Mission from Hell.

Very little gap. Late, early, good; makes no difference, right at someone. Power, normal, nope. I've had a couple of hrs, but that's bound to happen in a lot of bats. I don't think I need this card, and I know I don't need the xp. And SDS can just forget about exchanges.

I'm at 45 out of 50 points. I'm preferring not to go online right now, so I have a choice between finishing this moment, or getting 3 HRs with catchers in any game. I'm alternating moment attempts with a vs CPU game, and even though I'm hitting plenty of HRs with the other position players, I've only managed 2 HRs with catchers in my last several games. I actually 'wasted' a HR by Carter himself in a vs CPU game because he didn't count as a catcher even though that was the position he played in that game (card is secondary catcher). Same with the Joe Torre card, I think I got a HR with him too before I realised it didn't count for the mission. The moment itself is terrible, of course. I've made it to the third game needing 1 more XBH a couple of times, but mostly I'm just resetting after bad starts on the first game. This Carter mission is easily the least fun I've had since I started playing The Show last year.

For 3 catcher homers, make a team of all catchers and go play away against the O’s or Rockies.

I totally skipped this Moment, I could tell by the way Carter was playing that it was gonna be brutal. I opted to go with the Catcher HR & Carter Xbh missions instead. played Conquest gms on Rookie w all lineup of Catchers w Carter in RF leading off. worked well for me

I skipped it too. Put together a lineup with as many Cs in it using secondary positions and still took me awhile but eventually hit a couple out with Piazza

If you do the exchange, then you have to play online missions. If you want to go strictly offline, you need all the moments.

This method worked very well, thank you! I won't be using the Carter card I just earned, but hopefully it'll come in handy for a collection at some point.

Close the game. For multi game moments if you dashboard it will be like you never attempted it in the first place
