Mays or B. Wagner?
-
Yeah, Wagner is pretty much the undisputed top lefty reliever.
That said, your team sounds pretty good, and if you’re hitting well with those players and having fun, you’re winning already so...
-
I’d go for Mays. You get 3 solid players, and you’ll get a ton of 11th inning program stars for collecting them.

Ditto. Mays is still the best card in the game. Irreplaceable in the outfield defensively and also a beast offensively.

Get Mays.

I'll preface this by saying that as a NMS player, Mays was never going to be within my reach and that I have no experience playing with him, Hornsby, or Pudge in their SS forms. The HW Mays earned through the Moments was tough for me to hit with and he was off of my H2H roster as soon as I was able to grab both SS Gwynn and HW Ichiro from the XP Path. The gold Detroit version of Pudge is my favorite catcher card in the game for play vs CPU...not so much for H2H.
That being said, locking up cards to collect Mays is a stub sink. If you don't hit well with him, all those stubs will be wasted. Putting those stubs towards Wagner gets you a very rare dominant left-handed bullpen arm...irreplacable! Additionally, investing in Wagner keeps you assists (stubs) liquid as you could sell the card whenever you choose (which would likely be never).

I would never be able to get enough stubs to buy Wagner at his pricepoint.
Learn it flip.
It will change your life.
Literally. -

No offense but Mays is very obtainable being a NMS player. Don't waste stubs on packs, flip the market, and if your good enough to make WS or go 12-0 in Br that helps. NMS means nothing especially in MLB 19.

Here is something else to consider. If you plan on doing the entire 11th Inning Program, at 1350 stars you get a 3rd Inning Boss so you could choose either Rickey or Verlander and buy the other. You may still be able to obtain Wagner and Mays depending on what you have to quick sell.
-
Definitely Mays first, you get a bunch of starts for the 11th inning program having the live series collection done, which could get you enough for Wagner.
And Mays is the best player in the game
-
Yes. I'm a No Money Spent guy. I've never flipped cards before and don't really know how/ would rather be playing the actual game than playing the market.
Packs don't appeal to me so I just buy players off the market.
I'm decent but not good enough to make it to World Series or go 12-0 in BR so can't make stubs that way.
I have about 750 stars in the current program. Just a little wary sinking stubs into a guy I might not be good with (I have Honus and just can't hit with the guy)
Thank you so much to everyone for replying and helping me out. You guys are awesome.

gotta get Mays....one of a kind player, who can do it all---sell off anything from packs, conquest, etc and stack your stubs for Wagner
Flip cards....buy low ....sell high, taking into account the 10% tax.....check youtube there are some cool videos......you can make stubs off what stubs you have. This can be done on your phone when you have spare time...... -
If you have a ton of cards you should of sold them when the stub sale started. I made a ton of stubs selling bronze and silver cards on the market

Mays and Pudge are riding the struggle bus for me; Billy the kid has been lockdown out of the pen for the most part. I know others’ experiences vary
-
Mays, for sure. I feel like everyone has seen a lot of Wagner recently, as he’s in most bullpens. But with Mays, you get elite defense, game changing speed, and one of the best contact bats in the game. Also included are Pudge (best throwing catcher in the game) and Hornsby (my most trusted bench bat).

Hornsballs has been tearing it up for me

Unless you plan on using Rickey and Verlander you could just buy Wagner...
