When I was in juco ball we played the Cubs AA team in an exhibition. We finished third that year in juco with 4 draft picks and over 15 guys signed to other schools. We got no hit. Good luck

A high school freshman Josh Hader struck me out when I was a senior. He was unhittable in high school.

Was this when he was making highly questionable tweets?

I mean song lyrics, but no, that was later I think. We went to different schools so I didn’t know him personally to know if he was like racist or not

Just curious, where did you go to high school? My cousin went to Old Mill (long before Josh Hader went there) and lived in Millersville, MD.

confused as in your definition of hit the ball, as in I made contact and hit it, or I got a hit. sure if you have your bat propped in the middle and pay the pticher to throw at it yeah youll hit it. otherwise if youre swinging based on your middle school self and a youtube video, can I makee a bet on you not contacting the ball going 92 plus. I played division one baseball and im not confidently stepping into any at bat years ( a few) later at anything above 85.

I meant to actually try and get a base hit with an average defense

There is zero chance with a wood bat and a defense behind the pitcher you make solid enough contact to rope out a base hit. Unless you somehow make weak contact and you hit a perfect swinging bunt down the line and run it out. Sure you might tip a few pitches but you are over estimating your abilities and grossly underestimating how hard it is to hit in MLB which is by far the hardest thing to do in professional sports.

You’re wrong. I hadn’t played baseball since high school and joined an adult league at age 27. I had to relearn just about everything. Fielding came back relatively quickly.. hitting is a whole different story. If you haven’t even seen high school pitching, I doubt you even touch a single pitch. Have you even used a wood bat?

Watch the video, it doesn't look too fast, if I get 20 ABs I can just sit fastball and take a swing in the zone, that's probably 100 pitches so statistically I should connect with one and find a hole I feel like.

Bro... It’s a lot harder than you think haha. I don’t think you’d get a hit in 20 ABs against a Single A pitcher. Unless you played high level baseball into your 20s, you aren’t touching a thing without a ton of training and practice.

The worst hitting pitcher ever had about a .045 OBP in the MLB. Most pitcher only players still take BP and stuff so that’s not surprising, but that goes out the window since this is the worst hitting pitcher ever, in all likelihood, I can hit better than the worst hitting pitcher ever, and being an 18 yo male with a decent build, I think I could.

I think you’re underestimating how difficult it is to hit a baseball. Especially live pitching. And then you’re going to do this against someone who has trained their whole life to play baseball professionally and was good enough to make it into the MLB? Not to mention the highest level of ball you’ve played is middle school? Come on dude haha. Do you have any idea how good you have to be to even sniff the Majors?

I am talking about the worst hitter EVER in the MLB. In all likelihood I am a better hitter than him. It’s nothing against the pitchers, but they aren’t untouchable, in 20 ABs you could probably guess and swing early to find a hole somewhere in there.

If you stopped playing baseball in middle school I can guarantee worst mlb hitter of all time is 1000x better at hitting than you

The worst hitting pitcher probably also stopped hitting in middle school

That’s absolutely false kid!!! Pitchers stop hitting at the minor league level. Most pitchers were at one time pretty decent hitters until they specialized. Even colleges don’t specialize most guys unless you’re a bonafide top draft stud like Rocker or Leiter. Also the worst hitting major league pitchers spends his life around people of equal or better talent than him, he sees that pitching on a daily basis, he throws bullpen sessions next to guys with similar talent and he still looks silly at the plate facing that talent. So stop assuming that you know what your talking about.

This is a dude who has clearly never played baseball, he doesn’t keep his back foot planted and shift weight correctly during his swing, I at least know more technique to where my starting point is miles above his finish point

You would look worse than watching MLB hitters against fastpitch softball pitchers for the first time.

So I stumbled across this YouTube video of MLB pitches from a batter's POV and it made me realize, "This doesn't look that hard to hit." The pitches don't seem that fast, I think I could hit these.

I haven't played baseball since middle school, but I'm a young adult in pretty good physical condition. I believe I'm getting a hit in 20 ABs versus an average MLB pitcher and defense. I said this in a group chat and basically got flamed, but I'm pretty sure I'm right here.

    lol, no no you couldnt

Lol first time you swing and foul the fastball off after watching all the junk go by you won’t see another fastball again until you show you can hit the junk.

And good luck deciding between a cutter, sinker, and slider, which most big leaguers throw at least one of with a very good change up. You’re going to be sitting on 92* and see nothing but low to mid 80s junk that moves all over the plate. And you’re either going to swing and miss. Or strike out looking. I think where you’re over estimating yourself is thinking you’re just going to get a bunch of fastballs anywhere near the middle of the plate. This isn’t little league.

I mean how many no hitters have already been thrown this year? That’s 27 batters minimum. All major league starters. And I highly doubt you make anywhere near 100 pitches anyway. Youd ground out and pop out very often keeping the pitch count very low.

And by the slight off chance a ball does drop into play somewhere I’m going with pure luck not the skill and athleticism you’re attempting to give yourself.

OP, you'd get smoked. Ive seen too many good batters go into deep slumps. That's guys who see this type of pitching on the daily. The number 4 prospect in baseball, since call up, can't even much get it going. You think you could hold your own? Think again. Youd be lucky if a pitcher didn't try some chin music while he laughs as you pi** all over yourself.

I think Kelenic has been looking good. Solid contact and deep at bats, not many K’s. Just remember how long it took Vladdy to get going...
