I had knee surgery 3 weeks ago so I’m unable to work and my job right now is quite literally to try not to move it so I can make a proper recovery. It’s been really difficult for me but baseball and the show have given me something to keep busy and a goal to work towards so I can still feel accomplished at the end of the day (even if it’s just a trivial video game). I’d be working if I could but I need to focus on a full recovery before college.
Ik you didn’t mean anything by it, but I just wanted to provide some context on my situation.
Bruh who was hiding The Beatles from us? Like I knew the existed but I always wrote it off as old music that I wouldn't like. Well I started listening on Spotify for fun to some of their top songs, like Come Together, Twist and Shout, Hey Jude, and Let It Be and this stuff slaps. Like still holds up today! Surprised I went 18 years before realizing this stuff is actually fire.
The real issue is that MLB's rule book is worded poorly. Gerrit Cole may have used SpiderTack, but SpiderTack is not a foreign substance. Spidertack is manufactured in the US, and you can order it from Amazon from Colorado.
almost out of layers will finish the drum tomorrow

To some of y’all from the forums the past few years, you’ll probably remember that I’m pretty good at making logos and commissioned some in previous years.
I know there’s a lot of people who would like a specific logo but don’t have the skill, time, or time to learn the ins and outs of the logo editor. Just reply with a picture of what you’re looking for and I’ll see if I can help you out, if it’s not already in the vault.
Don’t know how many I’ll get around to but I’ll see if I can get close to ten or so done maybe, thanks and have a good evening.

@Victor_SDS_PSN this was a feature literally in MLB 17, why was it removed, makes no sense, is inconvenient and frustrating having to remake your full event team after a loss.
It's like some SDS employee messed up the code 3 years ago and they have no clue how to fix it, so frustrating.
@savagesteve74 said in The PCI is way too small on HOF:
Contact isn’t the main factor for pci size, vision is the main factor. Contact effects the outer PCI. 99 Jackie has 119 vision, so PCI should be a little bigger. Other factors also include quirks, both for and against the batter.
You’re simply wrong. Vision is outer PCI, I’m solely talking about inner PCI size, which is all contact. Perks also have little to know effect, I’ve got LS Trout to Parallel IV and it’s still stupid small. Like I said, no reason that endgame hitters should be this small versus LS pitchers
Every year I try to complete the LS collection without spending money, not because I take issue with people who spend money (by all means do that if you so please) but because I can't afford it. I thought I'd make a guide for people in the same boat as myself. Last year I completed the full LS collection and I should have it done within the next week or so this year.
Make Tangible Progress If you have the stubs to complete an easier team without diamonds (such as the Tigers or Marlins), absolutely do it. There's a few reasons why I suggest this. Number one, it removes stub temptation, you now no longer have the ability to burn those stubs on packs and have permanently dedicated them to the LS collection and secondly, it makes your goal seem more real. If I complete the 10 easiest teams, I'm still done 10 team and now have notable progress, this will help for your own motivation but also just helping you commit to a goal in mind.
Team Affinity If you completed all of stage 1 and 2 right now you'd have over 300 TA (standard) packs and 60+ BIAH packs. In theory those packs would cost about 1.5M stubs, but let's be realistic, you won't earn that back without absurd luck. However, you don't need to, chances are (even with medium/decent luck) you can make 500,000. I recommend doing all of these and saving them to open at once, why? Because then after selling everything, you can do a big chunk at once and once again, not be tempted to waste stubs. This also doesn't include showdown or conquest packs too which you'd likely get along the way.
You probably need to invest I only invest stubs about 2-3 times per year, but when I do, I go pretty much all out, amassing 150+ of the gold player of my choosing. Oftentimes, I'll spend a whole week immediately investing stubs in the player of my choosing after I get the stubs. Let's say the gold I want is 1800. Every time I get 1800 I place an order. Especially this year SDS has been generous with their diamonds, so it's not too risky and it's very high reward. Don't try to predict performance, it's too hard, instead look for players who are undervalued. For example, Marcus Semien has a decent shot at diamond, and is about 3,000 right now, I bought many of him just a few days ago at 1,800 because I saw that he should be higher based on his stats this year.
You might have to sell a boss I sold my inning boss for stubs, and then used those stubs to invest. It may seem counterintuitive to sell the card you just worked hard to earn, but think about it. If you sell a boss early for say 100k, you can invest that into 50 golds of a player you think could get upgraded, if he gets upgraded, you quicksell the diamonds for 250k, and you buy back the boss (who's now even cheaper) for 70k. You just made 180k stubs just by being smart and patient. And the more you have the easier it is to make and invest in stubs.
Know your goal and take your time If you really want to accomplish this collection whilst already being behind the eight ball, make sure you're dead set on it. It's easily obtainable, but also know it might not be right away. It's taking me about 2 months thus far, but with programs like TA1 and 2 both available right now, you could do this quicker if you really focus on it.
Some other things to try. If you're good at BR and it's profitable or if you can make and sell WS rewards to invest (I do neither of this because I'm not good enough to accomplish either quickly and efficiently). Flipping is a lot harder this year in general and harder than investing, but if you have the time and resources maybe give it a try.
Articles are being posted every day about Ohtani having the "Greatest Season Ever". Ohtani is about to hit the impressive 9 WAR in a season club, this is an elite club that certainly gives credit to this argument, right.
Ohtani's season is on track to be 130th all-time in WAR. For my non-sabermetrics guys, that basically means it isn't the greatest season ever, it isn't even close.
But who has the greatest season ever? Babe Ruth in 1923, the man who Ohtani is often compared to, with a 14.2 WAR season, more WAR than Ohtani has amassed in his MLB career.
How about the 2nd greatest season ever? That goes to a man by the name of Babe Ruth, who in 1921 posted a 12.9 WAR season.
How about the 3rd greatest season ever? That title goes to little-known former superstar by the name of George, George Herman, or as you may know him... Babe Ruth, with 12.6 WAR in 1927.
As a matter of fact, 5 of the 10 greatest seasons ever, and 6 of the top 11, belong to Babe Ruth.
So Shohei Ohtani, "The Next Babe Ruth" is on pace to have the 130th best season ever, whereas Ruth has half of the top 10 best seasons ever, including the top 3.
Ruth had 16 years where he played at least 100 games. This Ohtani season people are calling maybe the best in MLB history, would only be Ruth's 11th best season, and a down year for him.
Let's end with some stats simpler:
Ohtani 2021 OPS: .986 Ruth career OPS: 1.164 Ruth 1919-1924 OPS: 1.262
Ohtani 2021 ERA: 3.31 Babe Ruth career ERA: 2.28
Let's stop comparing a .260 hitter to a dude who hit over .370 for half a dozen seasons, to a dude who hit more home runs than the entire American League in seasons, and to a dude who beats him in almost any stat. And before the argument that Ruth played in an easier time: (1) Ruth didn't chose his era and if it was so much easier, why was he vastly better than ever other player?

If anyone really wants to do this, I highly advise reaching out to u/kasabe (Reddit) first. Check what his backlog is on logo creation, he has an entire portfolio of creations.
I’ve made stuff in the past and can show proof of work. Have talked to kasabe before, believe he also briefly did stadium builds.

@whitejw98_psn said in Why does Billy Beane trade away Jeremy Giambi in Moneyball?:
Real life reason: he just wasn't that good. The movie makes the trade seem a lot more significant then I remember it actually being.
He wasn’t that good but in terms of what Beane was looking for, OBP, he was great. That’s what confuses me, like he fit the moneyball idea perfectly but the idea worked out better without him.

@kdclemson_psn said in Why does Billy Beane trade away Jeremy Giambi in Moneyball?: The whole idea was that Beane is trying to fill the OBP gap after losing Jason Giambi and Johnny Damon in free agency. Giambi had a .404 OBP in 2002 and like a .390 OBP before getting traded in 2002, I understand the trade of Peña so the manager was forced to start Hattenburg, sure it fits the moneyball idea. But how does trading away OBP for Mabry who had only a .322 OBP that year make sense. It just makes it seem like the Athletics started playing better when they didn’t commit as hard to moneyball and got rid of Jeremy or am I misinterpreting it? I always thought it was them removing a distraction/problem

I get that, but like the whole idea at the start when Beane is talking to the other guys he’s trying to prove the point of like “don’t you guys get it, confidence, personality, intangibles don’t matter” like that’s part of his thing. It just seems like they began winning when the committed less to their moneyball game.
Glad they got his stats right this year, should have a little more arm strength but wow good job
I think it’s kind of stupid that we can’t use great players until the game starts to die off. Like now the playoffs are over, content is winding down, less and less players are playing and we still don’t have the best version of Babe Ruth or Ken Griffey Jr. Maybe they drop them in the next inning program, but that’s still months of the year I missed not being able to use some of the best cards.

To me this sounds like you’re under attack by aliens. If you wear your tin foil hat or spread peanut butter on your head the aliens can not read your thoughts. For some reason they have possessed your PlayStation. They might be trying to make contact.
No this is a real thing
https://youtu.be/38FzbyBClc8 Kinda sounds like this video too, it’s a bit quieter in real life and lasts no more than a few seconds
This is gonna sound really weird to explain so unless someone knows exactly what I’m talking about you’ll probably be a little confused.
So basically you know the screen where it displays the lineups and pitchers before the game. On PS5 for me, my PlayStation makes this weird sound while on that screen (maybe it’s try to load the stadium in the background).
It kind of sounds like this video (https://youtu.be/yVnQh0F4_uQ) and if you’re close to the PS5 you can easily hear it in a quiet room. I’m in my college dorm and my PS5 is like two feet away from me while I’m playing so that’s when I started noticing it. It happens against the CPU and online. Anyone else experience this?
