Should certain players really be "booed" by away fans?
-
There are 2 teams in the game of baseball. These teams take turns hosting eachother.
The fans will come watch their home team play.
They will cheer their team, and boo the other team to show support for their home town team.
The end... -

Certain players, absolutely!

Boo-Ed: Verb:
To verbally show your dislike for an individual named Ed. Most commonly used for Mr. Ed, Ed Sullivan, and Ed-ucation.

Robinson himself would be embarrassed by all of the attention. He just wanted to be a ballplayer, but the guilt ridden white folk had to make themselves feel better. So fast forward 50 years and his number gets retired across baseball.
Don't kid yourself-- The Show is trying to prove how "woke" they are by riding Jackie's jock for about the 5th year in a row.Sounds like you really got inside the mind and heart of Jackie Robinson; so much that you’re able to be a spokesperson for him. Kudos for having had that personal relationship with Jackie.
I'm sorry, snowflake.
I did happen to read a biography about Robinson where he said the exact things I posted.
He just wanted to be a ballplayer.
Don't be a SJW knob just for the sake of being one.
Nothing I said was racist or inflammatory. -

So not booing black players is what you mean, right?
Yes, we should all be very careful. We do live in a Cancel Culture society.
Haven't we [censored]*d off Jackie Robinson enough?
At this point, it's shameless posturing. Jackie was a great player, but "transcending the sport"? Robinson himself would be embarrassed by all of the attention.

They got a lot more than booed. But they got over it.
We should too.Cancellation from the boards in 5,4,3,2...
Dude, no need to start a race war in here! This is baseball and is a diverse sport and has been for a long time. Bury the racist [censored] and move forward!
Race war?!
How did you jump to that conclusion?! -

How did you jump to that conclusion?!Re-read your post dumb A$$!! In today's world/society! You exist! So you are telling black people to get over it? I'm all white, but am perfectly fine calling you out as a racist and see the oppression day in and day out. And for the record, they aren't over it, nor should they be.

jackie was most likely the most booed player ever
-
Are we really getting offended by booing in a video game? Let me guess....its racist to boo a minority now?

I'm telling everybody to get over it.
Racism in pro sports happened.
It's pretty fair to say all professional sports have been successfully integrated.
Disagreeing with people doesn't make you a racist.
Check that, in today's society, it does.
Sports might be the only element of society that isn't racist.
But with Robinson, it's overkill and pretty insulting/embarassing to keep pandering to minorities by worshiping Jackie like some god.
It's just a way for white people to feel better about themselves after years of keeping minorities out.
"Aren't we so evolved! We retired his number and everything!"
Like Ty Cobb said, they should have been playing from the beginning...
I'm sorry if I respect Jackie too much to make him a poster boy for white guilt. -
I'm Black and I play EASHL in NHL.
If I get booed, I'm blaming you guys 🤪(I hope this thread doesn't turn into an Old Time Hockey brawl, lol)

Cant help to think of Altuve in a player booed thread.
He is officially on diamond watch.

How did you jump to that conclusion?!It is a "Jump to Conclusions" mat. You see, it would be this mat that you would put on the floor... and would have different CONCLUSIONS written on it that you could JUMP TO.

Well. I fixed my typo with the hyphen. Sorry about that. Just find it weird that in a game where the man is being celebrated through being the cover star and with his own series of special cards that they didn't code him to have some sort of celebratory walk up to the plate per his achievements and what he means to the game. I know they are specifically booing him, it's just how the home crowd reacts to the away team. Just find it strange.

I was saying boo-urns
