So where are all the server crashing posts now?

All the players who complained on the forums wanted, was for them to fix the servers. SDS fixed them, so of course there won't be people complaining about the servers. Quite frankly it took too long to fix them. This is an annual problem with SDS. People simply want the game to work, and when it doesn't, these forums are the place to voice your anger, frustration, etc. Very simply, if you don't like seeing complaint threads, then don't read them.

I wouldnt say the servers are completely fixed bc people are still experiencing issues but it has been a thousand times better.

We won't know if it's resolved until Friday and Saturday. It worked fine for me last mid-week as well and then Friday and Saturday I couldn't play at all. So we don't know if it's resolved yet. This thread is premature.
Oh but the threads the OP is referring to weren't premature? You know the ones i'm talking about. The ones posted at Noon titled "Wonder how long server will be down tonight?" 8 hours prior to scheduled announced maintenance? Remember those? , but that isn't considered premature?
I don't as I never saw threads like that, but then I don't get on the forums 24/7 lol. Regardless we will know this weekend.
Then how can you say his post is premature without knowing of the other? Kind of a contradiction isn't it? And how would you know if someone was on 24/7 if you aren't?

Does not matter how much he or any other player spent on the game and on stubs, his point is valid. We paid for a game that WHEN playable is great...but that when has been so spuratic it is ridiculous. The problems that plague this game EVERY year are problems that flat out should not exist, period.

This is off topic, but since I have you here, and since you seem to know some stuff about servers and such, I’ll go ahead and ask: what is happening when pitch speeds become ridiculously fast against certain opponents? For instance, you can play against someone who throws Chapman against you and he is manageable, and other times, and on the same difficulty level, he is throwing vapor. I understand there are human factors involved like fatigue and focus and what not, but the phenomenon to which I’m referring, is beyond that. Some of us talked a lot about that last year, but I don’t think we had your expertise. Does ping play a part? Is there some sort of connection compensation going on? We talked about not making the head to head connection be pvp but instead connecting the matchup through a dedicated server. Is there anything to that? Thanks.

That's fair but the same way people are allowed to voice their support for the game, others are allowed to voice their displeasure. Its a public forum, thats whats going to happen. Especially when a majority of the people on the forum are upset.

Well your compehension skills and mine differ then, because i read the part where he said it should've been working all along so he was actually in agreeance with people.
He simply just did not like combing through 20 threads that said same thing when 1 would've been fine. And i 100% agree.

My understanding.... and this is based on feedback over the years and nothing else because I don't write their code but I HAVE been playing online games for 20+ years....
My understanding is that in H2H, one console is considered the home team and is also hosting the game. During the game, your stats and data is being fed to the SDS servers for stats, progress etc. All warehouse data type stuff. Post game, both consoles send results to SDS data server, reconciliation takes place, both users get splash screen with the result. Both parties go about their business.
Lag during game play is primarily on the "host console". Either the connection they have, or your connection to them. More often than not though, the home team's ping is going to drive the bus, unless one user has a connection so bad, even AOL would laugh.
For online sports games, it's a P2P (peer to peer) connection. That's because it's two users only.
Call of Duty for instance is server based game play, that ping has a larger impact on. MMORPG games use your PC or console for graphics rendering only. Moving around a map requires communication with a server for your location on the node. It's why games use zones and instances for travel and very few massive games are seemless. Elder Scrolls comes to mind.
Hope this helps answer "high level" what you are probably questioning. Those stutters on pitches when you are throwing, are likely not stuttering for the opponent as well.

I can uderstand that. I guess what I meant was that if they took everything in their life this serious, they wouldn't care so much about a game. It's a hobby. Something fun for my downtime. I have way more important things to put my lifes energy towards.. Family, job, friends, planning for the furure etc... If I'm going to put all my energy and demand answers its going to be something that actually affects my life.. This video game does not. That's what i was trying to say. And I'm not directing it at you. You seem level-headed

The problem is this. Even if EVERYTHING was flawless, people would still whine about something. That's how it goes. The servers have been awesome. For days now
People will always find something to not like but we all cant act like the frustration hasnt been somewhat warranted. yea I get it that people come onto the forums and act like idiots but lets be real, there are people on the other side of the argument that do the same stuff on here.
Being frustrated and being a whiny btch are 2 different things. Its a video game. If half the people took their real lives as serious as they do a video game, they wouldn't be complaining about it.
That's fair but the same way people are allowed to voice their support for the game, others are allowed to voice their displeasure. Its a public forum, thats whats going to happen. Especially when a majority of the people on the forum are upset.
I can uderstand that. I guess what I meant was that if they took everything in their life this serious, they wouldn't care so much about a game. It's a hobby. Something fun for my downtime. I have way more important things to put my lifes energy towards.. Family, job, friends, planning for the furure etc... If I'm going to put all my energy and demand answers its going to be something that actually affects my life.. This video game does not. That's what i was trying to say. And I'm not directing it at you. You seem level-headed
I know you werent referring to me, I appreciate it. I agree with you 100% and I feel the same. Thats the same reason why I will never understand the people that spend thousands of dollars on the game. but just playing devils advocate here, there are some people that this one of the few sources of entertainment they have. Sounds sad but im willing to bet that there a lot of people like that on these forums and I can see where they would be coming from on taking it so seriously. Im right there with you though, frustration is one thing but coming on here to start arguments and moan and groan just seems like a waste of time
