Except I didnt see any slide stepping. Looks like he was stepping into his pitches normally from the stretch.
Kershaw don't pitch that fast from the stretch. that's definitely slide stepping.
I hate pitching with Kershaw from the stretch because it is so fast. Barely have time to react on the analog. And he never slid his foot. He was taking steps. Not that it really matters. If the guy is trying to give you a free HR take it.

I hate it when I'm not the home team. Such cheese. When I go to see my Rockies they are playing at Coors Field...where they should be. DD should play out the same way. Why can't SDS just patch this nonsense already.
SDS needs to fix this or I'm cancelling my pre-order.

I recorded one inning of this non sense. This was the second game in a row this happened. You mean to tell me this is how everyone plays and how the devs meant the game to be played? woooow.
I assume that's SS Kershaw pitching. He has a quick release when players are on base. If he was slide stepping, as many times as he pitched the ball, the announcer would've mentioned it in the commentary.

I don’t love playing opponents that slide step the whole game either. Fortunately, there is a counter.

So why do you care if they do it EVERY pitch. Its only when it is mixed in sporadically and throws you off that its annoying. Remember they are losing control so you are more likely to get [censored] or meatballs
it's not the way the game is supposed to be played. It's cheese.
You play the way you choose. Who determines how it’s “supposed “ to play? Slides steps are in the game and it’s in real life baseball. There is an appropriate penalty for using it. It’s incumbent upon you to take advantage. Btw in real life dudes change pitch Cadence, arm angle all the time. El Duque, David Cone, Cueto are a few guys who built careers off of that

I slide step only when Im playing someone who keeps stealing and not realizing that the finest Realmutos arm will get you 10/10 times. Let them screw themselves over
-
I’ll slide step from time to time, but it’s never about the runner. It’s always about throwing off the hitter’s timing. Once every few innings or so. If my opponent wants to slide step and hang one, walk me, or throw a wild pitch, then that’s all good with me.

He was clearly slide stepping on every pitch. Extremely frustrating when opponents do this because the animation is really glitchy, and nobody does it that much in real life.
It’s even more frustrating when the pitcher goes from the stretch at all times, and opponents slide step even when there’s no runners on base.
If you’re gonna slide step once in a while (because you genuinely think your opponent’s gonna steal), then that’s fine, but if you just constantly abuse it, then you’re one of the reasons people hate playing online.

if someone has above 90 speed on 1st I'm slide stepping. most of the time I hang one and give up a hit anyways but hate guys running all over me
If you have a strong arm catcher and you can usually make the throw. I did it not to long ago where the guy kept take a lead and I would try to pick him off or pitch out on the not normal counts to confuse him. Then the one time he tired to steal strike em out throw em out DP

Yeah there are a few guys who've done this. But it's abused in this game because most of the DD player base can't play straight up.

Start holding R2. That'll slow them down! Fight cheese with cheese! lol
But honestly, slow things down and take a few pitches. You'll be jumping all over him before you know it.
