there are other ways to stress test a server. there's no excuse for these server issues for the 6th year in a row. SDS is more worried about making DD content and maximizing their opportunities to make more money through stubs. How do you estimate or project how many of xbox's 18 million game pass subscribers are actually going to try the game?
I can understand the server issues this year because of that gamepass wildcard being thrown into the mix fairly late (after the tech test). The previous years there was not really an excuse for.
lets be real, we were having server issues during early access. Its not xbox game pass thats causing issues, its definitely exacerbating them but its not the root cause

I did and made it clear in my posts and survey there were Server/Matchmaking problems. From DAY 1!!
And didn't the Server go offline during the Tech Test?

That’s not the problem. If you sign up for the tech test you get to participate in the tech test. It’s not a lottery. I’m sure part of the problem is the unexpected load of all the game pass people.
On PlayStation you are correct. Everyone that signed up did get to participate. On Xbox they only took a limited number of people.

Yeah you would never be able to have enough people in the technical test to account for game pass it's just not possible not to mention Sony San Diego should have known that there was going to be more people using the service this year with them adding Xbox to it and all like they should have upgrade the servers even before the game came out

Multiples times during the tech test you couldn't get in because the servers appear overloaded then as well. Exception errors were frequent there.

Most likely SDS is just putting bandaids on the server issues when surgery is needed. If they tell us that they are shutting it down for a few hours to completely fix the server, I would be ok with that. But they have to communicate with us on every social and media platform, to let us know the truth of what is going on. Blows me away they are not communicating with the people that pay their salaries. Maybe this is an opportunity for another game developer to create and new Baseball game that puts SDS to shame.

We have literally been saying that every year for as long as I can remember. It's a problem when there's a monopoly on anything.

Thats CAP i didnt have any issues till the 20th which was the day that the game was free on gamepass if they just would have doubled or tripled the servers knowing that it is gonna be ten times more people than previous years it wouldnt be a problem

I agree! Most people signed up just to see what it looked like and left. Don't think i ever played more than 10 full games so many quitters.
