Can anyone tell me any tips on how to get the PCI on to the ball fast because I cannot for the life of me cannot get the PCI on the ball fast enough. I do go into custom practice and practice my hitting I'm good at hitting the ball when it's down the center but not when the Ball is coming to the left or right of the plate. I just don't have a good enough reflexes so I'm asking does anyone have any tips and tricks to get that PCI onto the ball faster? Any suggestions is appreciated

The biggest help is to play on a monitor or a tv with settings for low input lag. In game, you can start with your pci inside to turn on those pitches, then trace to the outside and your timing should be good to hit it the other way. Start tracking the ball out of the pitchers hand - with experience you will recognize them faster, which makes a world of difference. Youtube has videos that show how pitches look immediately out of the hand.

The only thing you can do is just practice. I'll move the PCI around before every pitch. It helps keep the thumb loose for me.

Good idea I also heard the control freaks help out a lot it that true?

Stick with it. I use Control Freaks and they help a great deal to move smoother to the ball. Everyone's style of how they get to the ball is different and you will find yours. With the Control Freaks get one that has two different sizes in it and practice with both on the left side and you will find which one you like better.

Never used them but they are supposed to help with precise movements. I'm tempted to try it this year.
Try starting the PCI in a specific spot...if you're having a hard time adjusting up, start high and move down as needed. Ultimately comes down to practice.

Start on Rookie level and keep at it till you are crushing. Then move up to veteran, rinse and repeat.
Got to crawl before you can walk! -

Kontrol Freaks, for me. Plus I move the pci to the timeing of the pitcher. Hard to explain, but I use a 3 step timing. Every pitcher is different but for the most part, 1. is when he starts his motion, 2. is when the ball hand separates from the glove, 3. is when i'm swinging. I have a motion I like to do with the pci before the pitch, then during 1. I move the pci just a tiny bit towards the throwing hand, then again during step 2, then on 3 I move it to the ball.

I will try to find a video that better explains timing up pitchers, if you've never faced 100mph fastballs in real life.

You can time up anyone's fastball like this if they throw it enough. And honestly in THESHOW I prefer facing "Nolan Ryans" because once you get their timing down, moving your PCI just becomes an involuntary motion your thumb does automatically after you recognize what kind of pitch it is. And people that rely a lot of straight fastballs are easier to consistently square up. Whereas in real baseball its very similar, but much harder to bring your hands up in the zone than it is to drop them down in the zone. However its harder to elevate a fastball down in the zone. Where THESHOW becomes easier, is because you can move your hands up in the zone and elevate fastballs almost exactly as fast as you can drop the barrel down in the zone.
I can't stress enough though how important pitch recognition is. The faster you can tell what kind of pitch is coming the faster you can get your pci in the right place. Unfortunately theres not any ways I know to do this other than tons of practice, but actually pay attention to the pitchers release. Look for the pop in the ball on breaking pitches etc.

Go on YouTube and check out some hitting g tip video by cbrev. His videos are super helpful. There is others out there but he isn't a giant douchebag like most of the youtubers. He seems like a decent guy. Other than that, what people are saying. Practice as much as you can. Make sure you are always facing guys with high fastballs and even go into custom practice and select that pitcher and choose fastball in the strikezone and just keep at it.
After a while mix in other pitches and you'll start seeing the difference and start turning on them pretty good

I used to start middle high, but now just sit in middle twitching a bit to keep thumb loose. I use Kontrol Freaks as well as they do make moving the analog stick more precise since sometimes you only need to move the stick a tiny bit. Newbs tend to just throw the stick down which results in may pop flies. Keep that in mind when pitching also.
As far as pitch recognition goes, keep in mind that over half the time you're going to be getting a fastball. So get your timing down for a pitcher's fastball first and foremost as you have time to adjust for off speed once you recognize it's not a fastball. Also keep your eye on the ball at all times and use your periphreal vision to keep track of your PCI. Good luck.

Im getting i just on when the ball is thrown the center of the plate

The biggest thing is to get your timing on different pitches down first then try to move the pci last second to the Location of ball use Strike Zone 2 camera also
