The biggest help is to play on a monitor or a tv with settings for low input lag. In game, you can start with your pci inside to turn on those pitches, then trace to the outside and your timing should be good to hit it the other way. Start tracking the ball out of the pitchers hand - with experience you will recognize them faster, which makes a world of difference. Youtube has videos that show how pitches look immediately out of the hand.

Made it last month with meter. Big thing I've noticed - if you are throwing a low breaking ball, don't miss the meter early. If you are throwing a high fastball, don't time the meter late. Good luck.
I would go Buxton over them and spend Stubbs elsewhere
Would not recommend him unless you are a fan. Even on HOF he isn't too hard to pick up. Lodolo is free if you need a lefty starter.
Marginally better than trout, but I didnt face enough lefties to justify keeping him for his cost. Maybe if 4th inning releases a good lefty starter his relevance will rise.
Yes - MLB 20 with walker buehler. However, it was in the 400s against someone who swung at just about everything. I thought it was cool but it wasn't as meaningful as beating a tough opponent.

Congrats! Get ready for a friendly quit request every time you try to pitch Randy!
Ain't that the truth. Then they quit after trying to hit for an inning or 2. I have 5 starts with him. 5 wins. But only like 6 innings pitched. Not what I envisioned for all the work trying to get him. I'm assuming in the 800+ range people tend to be more resilient.
Pirates fan born in 87. Saw them win a wildcard game once. Probably will be their highlight of my life at the current rate.
Sit inside with the pci (low mid or high based on opponent tendencies) then react on away fastballs. I find the reaction delay to be enough to hit the ball the other way. Try to ID the pitch out of the hand - there are YouTube videos on this. You can still get fooled by changeups and cutters but that's what makes it a challenge!

While the enduring xp gave something to look forward to, I just think it's refreshing to not be facing the free 99 starters every game. Although, they have addressed the pitcher stamina issue so someone can't just run kluber out there for 3 innings every game.

Absolutely. Guessing it's due to the patch and everyone getting used to the standard pitchers every game. My era this season went from low 3s to the 5s, but it feels worse than that.
