The game being released at 9:00pm Pacific on Thursday night seems too good to be true. Slap me if what you’re saying is confirmed.
That is how it has worked in the past. I remember playing 18 at 9:00 pm

Yep.its always been eastern. cant be otherwise, they'd alienate all their east and central customers with a 2 and 3 am release.

Piggybacking on this question. I'm assuming this is the case, but will the game be fully downloaded so you can just pick up the sticks and play right at release time?

If like year's past, yes and no. There are final updates at the start, and you'll have the option of playing a pre-programmed cpu game while they install. You can either do this or wait, but you won't be able to get into dd. I'd assume rtts or other modes are the same. If memory serves me correct, you won't be able to open packs either, until this final install is finished.

I'm thinking of flying to the west coast on Monday, acclimating myself to the west coast time zone, and then taking advantage of the 9:00 start time.
But... it would cost me a ton of money and then technically I wouldn't be a NMS player any more.
