Just cant finish that 1st inning showdown
-
I know some people don’t want to spend the time flipping cards but everyone makes it seem like 1000 stubs is a steep price for showdown. if you buy 6 silver cards then sell them back you make 1000 stubs in 10 minutes
-
Anyone else find it odd that we still have to pitch the bottom half of three inning away games after having failed to score enough runs?
-
It took me like 8 tries but eventually by some luck i got it.
And by luck I mean a 3 run no doubt JACK to end it with Trae Turner
-
I also feel like these difficulties are not always what they say they are. I normally love HoF, especially online. You would think with these so called “perks” that you would be alot more successful but they haven’t done anything for me.

Let them tie it and keep playing.
-
I guess that is why... makes sense.
-
Mann I lost it 15-15 ... their defense decides to make every diving catch possible towards the last 3 outs. Lol
-
Get the contact and velo perks. Sometimes you don’t get a chance to pick them and it’s harder ( not as hard as the divisions showdowns tho) also be patient and make the pitcher lose confidence with balls and walks.... the ya re way easier to hit at low confidence

Man I've probably wasted about 10000 stubs just for the entry fee for this mode. Does anyone have any extra tips or advice? Ive stacked on LH/S hitters every time with only like silver pitchers. Each time ive managed to bring the score to about 9/10-15 but just cant finish it off. Closest i got was 13-15. Thanks
Wasted stubs? Are you just skipping to the end? You can earn your stubs back and make a small profit by beating the first Red mission (and previous missions) but if you are just skipping to the end then that is on you.
-
I just finished it. Last mission was the easiest 15 outs and score 8 runs off kenley. Its a shame they introduce a new mode and charge an entry few. That really irked me as missions in other games like madden are free. Overall i like the game and hopefully they dont tweak it that much.
-
Finally finished on my like the 12th try. Things i learned along the way. Obviously pitching doesn’t matter, select as many power lefty bats as you can, play all the moments, be patient at the plate especially in the elimination showdowns, I found the exit velocity perks were very beneficial especially if you waited for your pitch, and finally try not to get rattled if you make a few quick outs lol.

The key is patience I have failed a number of times but have been taking the wait it 2 stikes approach. You have to wear down the pitcher to get his energy low which then impacts his confidence speically if you work 2 or 3 walks then he will start to hang pitches. I have made some more process and taking this approach. In all I have made stubs on this mode as you get your fee and a pack back if you beat the first boss so never skip to the final boss right away

This is why Showdown exists. To steal out stubs away.
-
There is no reason for an entry fee. Just lower the stub rewards by the entry fee amount in the Showdown and people would stop complaining.
-
Patience is crucial.

Lol that's just not true. If you complete the showdowns every entry you actually make a few stubs, get some packs and it's a super easy path to the diamond FOTF player at 50 TA points. You don't have to do a single player exchange. They're not that hard either, people perceive them as hard because there's pressure of failure, but it's just veteran difficulty lol.
-
I'm not sure if it's the update...but I don't get many pitches to hit my last few tries. Could just be me though

Seeing that it gives more stubs than you put in, like other have said (unless you never make it past the 1st boss or just sim), this is incredibly false.

Pretty much. On lower difficulties I find myself free swinging too much and costing myself easy outs. Just need to wait for something over the plate. I unfortunately lost my first final showdown tied 15-15 but also helps justify winning every single step along the way (plus stubs/xp/packs)

Yeah that can definitely happen but at least you take accountability and know where you did wrong to prevent it from happening again in future tries, instead of blaming it for being too hard and saying this is a stub stealing scam.

For the record, i know i didnt lose 10k stubs, im just stating ive pawned about about 10k stubs from entry fees lol
