But one day I just thought to myself that those 'accomplishments' have no bearing on what happens to me in my real life. Once I realized that I started remembering why I play this game. To relax and rewind after a hard day.

I get what you mean. I sometimes look at my record, average, and ERA. It makes me depressed, so I have stopped looking at them.

oh that's horrible i hear you there............
i never brag or bring up my record, and we all started at the bottom when we begun playing this game right. my first year playing DD online RS i was horrible. my BA is horrible this year but i take pride in my stats on a personal level

I used to play each game until the bitter end, but then I got angry too often in RS, so know I don't.

You can easily look up somebody’s win loss record. Also, there are elements to this game that are there solely for the purpose of big leaguing your opponent.
You’re telling me home run replays, Dj airhorns and all the other celebration animations and sound effects are for sportsmanship?
