Well too be fair they haven't added a lot of RPs to the game, and honestly the fact that they are labeled as CPs is more to make it easier to filter them. Like the perfect example is Hader he is a CP but has been used in real life as a RP as well so closers being used as RPs is actually quite common

I see where you’re going with this, but they would have to come up with some better RPs then. And maybe find some more top notch lefties. I like the Corbin, Britton, Snell, Pomeranz and Luzardo from the PS Program. Hopefully they bring in Plesac, Franco, Guardado, McGraw, Arthur Rhodes, Sparky Lyle, BJ Ryan, Randy Myers, Jesse Orosco etc.

I think if they did this they woudl need to come up with some great set up guys.

Jeff Nelson, Erick Plunk, Arthur Rhodes, David Robertson, Mike Stanton, Roger McDowell, Jesse Orosco etc.

or maybe get closers before they closed...96 Rivera, 03 Lidge, 87 Mitch Williams

Forgot about Mike Stanton (the elder haha) and Mitch Williams (if he faced Joe Carter he would give up an automatic HR!) and I just thought of Terry Mulholland!

I think mulholland was a reliever later in his career. I have a distinct memory of him coming in to face bonds for lefty matchup and I’m pretty sure the ball is still in orbit somewhere over the Pacific Ocean.

Thanks for the backup MathMan. As a Giants fan, I have the same distinct memory. Haha

Plus, I never said he was better as a RP than he was as a Sp. just stating he was a lefty RP. Haha

This wouldn't add lineup diversity, you'd see the same few elite RPs in everyone's lineups.

people complain comeback logic going against some of the best closers ever. Imagine how bad it will get when going against mediocre mid relievers

I prefer to imagine how great this game COULD be, rather than imagining the complaints. Those will always be there.

Year in and year out, there are never enough long relievers. Early in the season we need pitchers for mop up duty. Bring back Scott Kamieniecki, Ramiro Mendoza, etc.
