What even is good PCI for???

So im not 100% sure if im just more terrible than I feel or if the game is just in a bad state currently.

I have sucked with MVP Trout however aside from K's all my outs have been extremely good PCI placement and good swing timing yet its 100% of the time a routine fly ball or worse a Perfect Perfect fly out to the wall against a righty. Yet I come up with SS Jimmy Rollins and a ball not even close to the PCI is a no doubters to the same part of the yard. Im sure you are aware but just incase you are not track MVP Trout has 125 power vs right handed pitchers and SS Jimmy has 77. How the HE double hockey sticks does 77 power hit it a good 100 feet further than 125 (maxed out power) its stuff like that, that makes me annoyed to play the game. I enjoy it but it gets annoying. Mind you I know im not a great player ill be lucky to make WS but I have a winning record but some of my Ls should have been Ws because swing timing wise I out played my opponent. I had 1 game i lost and my opponents legitimately had zero good swing timing and I have a majority good swing timing with about 15-20 Perfect Perfect outs. Yea in 20 Perfect Perfect hits i batted .000 and according to SDS getting a Perfect Perfect is supposed to be close to .800 fat crock of crud that was

What do you want in RTTS 20

So I noticed that in the description for RTTS for 20 that it was going to be more RPGish what do you think this means and what would you like to see out of it?

I have one hope for it. I love the mini games they are fun and help get your player upgraded however they do not happen nearly enough. Like I'd like it to be somewhat similar to 2K where you can walk to the gym and pick which work out you want to do. That work out upgrades certain attributes like if you bench press it would increase your power, and arm strength, then you could go to long toss and it has you play catch with a CPU player but you have to do inputs like moving the RS into the zone and that increases your ACC, or you could take Fly balls and throw to bases which would increase Fielding and ACC. However to make it so you can't just spam the mini games and get a 99 over all player out the gate you get a certain amount of energy each day and each workout costs a different amount of energy to complete. And to further prevent spamming of workouts that energy is static it doesn't go up if you don't use it all (no roll over energy from day to day) and maybe even have it so that you can have an option to have a full practice before each game like in IRL.

This would be optional but have some incentive to do. Like if you get Gold in say hitting you get a bonus for that days game in Contact and Power or if you did fielding you get a bonus to fielding and Arm ACC.

What are your thoughts and what would you like to see in RTTS in 20. I love the game mode but it feels the same every year I want them to mix it up so it is more realistic in a way like being able to hit the gym or play catch. And maybe they make it so you can challenge other players for extra XP to certain attributes. Anyone have thought?

@zach7153 said in What exactly is considered bunt cheesing?:

I've seen threads complaining about people bunt cheesing but what exactly is considered bunt cheesing? Is it just people that bunt the whole game? Cause I know there are times where I bunt in this game for certain situations it is apart of the game after all

Basically bunting anytime with a speedy player to the right side or bunting to beat the auto shift. Not in a situation that you would bunt

in the situation of bunting to beat the shift thats not bunt cheese that's a legit situation to bunt in (MLB players do it all the time even slow guys) because its still a risk if its not perfectly placed it will fail every time. In the terms of bunting with a speedy guy once again id have to disagree because when i grew up the lead off hit was almost exclusively speedy and either drew a walk or bunted to get on and steal. Like I said this was the baseball that I personally grew up on and is not "cheesy" in the least. Because even gugs like me Robinson with 95 speed and 99 bunt don't 100% execute a bunt correctly. Now if all they do is load a line up with speedy bunters that to me is bunt cheese. But that is souly my opinion

    RE: Toxic players!!!!!!

I hate facing those guys and the guys who pause every 20 seconds hold R2 bunt dance and replay HRs every time. Last time I faced a toxic player he did all the above and im pleased to say i made him regret life I absolutely trounced him and made him watch every HR (he wanted to be toxic so I gave him a taste of his own medicine but I only replayed the HRs nothing else) you want to play dirty ill beat you fairly but im gonna get mine some how so making him watch a J-roll HR is all the sweeter

Idea for a new card type

So I was in YouTube and started talking via comments with the Poster of the video we got on the topic of the difference Cards I happened to mention I was slightly disappointed that SDS gave Kershaw a Cy Young from 2014 when he also won the MVP (its very difficult for a pitcher to win MVP so I had hoped they would do that) the YouTuber happened to mention Miggy and his SS when he could have gotten a Triple crown card so his idea was to create a new card series called untouchable and its like Nolan Ryan 7 No hitters, Ted Williams .409 average it would help expand a lot of people's baseball history knowledge in a fun way. But I thought of a what could be a better title and a better way to implement it. Call it the Legacy series and it's for hard to accomplish feats, so let's use Jackie Robinson as an example he gets a Signature Series card and when you prestige his card it changes and has a fancy Legacy title and gives some history in Jackie's case broke the MLB color barrier.

Thoughts on this? To further break it down this would be a special prestige card art, special for legendary players like Jackie, Ryan, Williams any others that have accomplished rare feats

RE: Welcome to the forums, Xbox family 🙌

So far from my many years of gaming I've noticed more mature players on within the XBox community than in the PS community. I've gotten more vile messages from PS players than I have on Xbox and I've been playing Xbox way longer than PS. I also have about 5 good friends on XBox that I have their phone numbers and talk to them daily even playing COD and BF on PS I never met any guys like that on PS but I have on XBox. I forsee the Xbox community being a little more mature than the PS community they won't be perfect by any means and there are the bad apples in every community. Some will bunt dance, some will dashboard, some will be toxic but I feel that the Xbox community will play games all the way through especially because most will find out that the momentum can change at any moment. I've had games down by 8 in the 7th and finally found my groove and made a come back still ended up losing but I took it to extras because both of us buckled down and start pitching better I lost because I kept my out of stamina pitcher in and he hung a breaking ball it was a good game

RE: What do you want in RTTS 20

I agree with the opinions that contracts should mean way more. I think that having equipment for RTTS separated from DD like instead of being able to buy better equipment with Stubs you have to make more money to get better gear in RTTS. I also would love to see more controllable moments like post game interviews and stuff like that. Thank you guys for the input

    RE: Poor Bellinger

Honestly I started off terrible with Finest Bellinger was batting under 200 with him, but his Defense caused me to stick it out and its paid off I'm now hitting over 250 with him and hit a few absolutely tanks with him too. But I've had my share of terrible games with players, I'm gonna have to remove Cal from my starting line up for a bit. I was hitting over 350 with him at one point but lately I've been slumping hard with him to the point now he is hitting under 300. I've found if I go into a slump for a bit with a guy I bench him for a few games and I bring them back to find my swing again

RE: MLB THE SHOW 21 PROSPECTS FUTURE STARS

I don't understand why people dislike the FS Cards they are a snap shot of what a player could potentially be based of their hype or their potential. But we are all entitled to our own opinions. The way I see it is the FS cards are a 1 year card like I don't expect to see a FS Dustin May, Lux, Robert, Pearson and so on, plus as has been stated previously they have to be juiced to be competitive against the legend cards. I do believe they need to separate the Prospect and Future Stars, like the guys that are close to the Majors get a Future Stars and the guys who show promise but are a little ways off get a Prospect card.

RE: Create a stadium has been leaked.

So I know its kinda been said but I want to put my opinion on how they can use CaS in DD without it being a set puzzle piece style build. First make it a semi free form build like the creator has a large control over how its designed, second but just as important as the first make limits (it has to have limits or it will be broken even in franchise limits being the shortest average stadium like Dodger Stadium down the line is I believe 324, fence height is no shorter than the average no taller than the average current MLB Stadium at certain distances IE not extra Fenway but something like Chase field is okay with an HR line on it, also the fences can't be further than the deepest MLB field, third fences are mandatory, and lastly no excessive weird angles you can have like a point that turns and goes deeper but not a full fence of angles just to give the fielders a harder time catching. But I believe that most people will realize early on that what gives them an advantage will also give their opponents an advantage as well. My comment might not make sense. Or if you think you can improve on my meaning if you understand what I'm going for please correct any mistakes I may have made but do be polite please as I'm tired of everyone disrespecting each other for no reason

If we are talking movie players I want Crash Davis from Bull Durham, Benny "the Jet" Rodriguez, STEVE NEBRASKA (The Scout throws absolute GAS and hits moon shots), Pedro Cerrano, and EBBY CALVIN “NUKE” LaLOOSH. I know these won't get in the games but it'd be awesome to see them in the game just for the fun of it.

    MGM
    FOX
    FOX
    Paramount
    MGM

The only possible fictional players we've got a shot at is Roy Hobbs and Jimmy Dugan.

Yes I'm well aware that the rights would never get used because it's not just the studio they would have to get rights for it'd also be the actor. I just thought it'd be fun to add a couple other names to the previously mentioned fictional characters simply because it's fun to think about and I know not everyone has heard of nor seen the movie The Scout. When I first watched it at 13 I thought it was a great movie but having watched it again it's a terrible movie but still funny to watch all the same

Stoked to play with you all this year!

Any idea where the PS logo next to your name is coming from? I've seen a few people on here with them and assume it's due to a change they made to how accounts work.

I'm assuming there won't be seperate forums and whichever platform you play on will include that icon after your ID.

Not sure how it will work if you play on both platforms. Maybe you can only sign into the forum via one ID.

That is correct when logging in it now gives an option to sign in via XBox Live account. It also seems like you are correct with not being separate forums that wouldn't make much sense as they would then have an additional thing to monitor
