So I know its kinda been said but I want to put my opinion on how they can use CaS in DD without it being a set puzzle piece style build. First make it a semi free form build like the creator has a large control over how its designed, second but just as important as the first make limits (it has to have limits or it will be broken even in franchise limits being the shortest average stadium like Dodger Stadium down the line is I believe 324, fence height is no shorter than the average no taller than the average current MLB Stadium at certain distances IE not extra Fenway but something like Chase field is okay with an HR line on it, also the fences can't be further than the deepest MLB field, third fences are mandatory, and lastly no excessive weird angles you can have like a point that turns and goes deeper but not a full fence of angles just to give the fielders a harder time catching. But I believe that most people will realize early on that what gives them an advantage will also give their opponents an advantage as well. My comment might not make sense. Or if you think you can improve on my meaning if you understand what I'm going for please correct any mistakes I may have made but do be polite please as I'm tired of everyone disrespecting each other for no reason
So I was in YouTube and started talking via comments with the Poster of the video we got on the topic of the difference Cards I happened to mention I was slightly disappointed that SDS gave Kershaw a Cy Young from 2014 when he also won the MVP (its very difficult for a pitcher to win MVP so I had hoped they would do that) the YouTuber happened to mention Miggy and his SS when he could have gotten a Triple crown card so his idea was to create a new card series called untouchable and its like Nolan Ryan 7 No hitters, Ted Williams .409 average it would help expand a lot of people's baseball history knowledge in a fun way. But I thought of a what could be a better title and a better way to implement it. Call it the Legacy series and it's for hard to accomplish feats, so let's use Jackie Robinson as an example he gets a Signature Series card and when you prestige his card it changes and has a fancy Legacy title and gives some history in Jackie's case broke the MLB color barrier.
Thoughts on this? To further break it down this would be a special prestige card art, special for legendary players like Jackie, Ryan, Williams any others that have accomplished rare feats
I don't understand why people dislike the FS Cards they are a snap shot of what a player could potentially be based of their hype or their potential. But we are all entitled to our own opinions. The way I see it is the FS cards are a 1 year card like I don't expect to see a FS Dustin May, Lux, Robert, Pearson and so on, plus as has been stated previously they have to be juiced to be competitive against the legend cards. I do believe they need to separate the Prospect and Future Stars, like the guys that are close to the Majors get a Future Stars and the guys who show promise but are a little ways off get a Prospect card.

If we are talking movie players I want Crash Davis from Bull Durham, Benny "the Jet" Rodriguez, STEVE NEBRASKA (The Scout throws absolute GAS and hits moon shots), Pedro Cerrano, and EBBY CALVIN “NUKE” LaLOOSH. I know these won't get in the games but it'd be awesome to see them in the game just for the fun of it.
MGM
FOX
FOX
Paramount
MGMThe only possible fictional players we've got a shot at is Roy Hobbs and Jimmy Dugan.
Yes I'm well aware that the rights would never get used because it's not just the studio they would have to get rights for it'd also be the actor. I just thought it'd be fun to add a couple other names to the previously mentioned fictional characters simply because it's fun to think about and I know not everyone has heard of nor seen the movie The Scout. When I first watched it at 13 I thought it was a great movie but having watched it again it's a terrible movie but still funny to watch all the same

So far from my many years of gaming I've noticed more mature players on within the XBox community than in the PS community. I've gotten more vile messages from PS players than I have on Xbox and I've been playing Xbox way longer than PS. I also have about 5 good friends on XBox that I have their phone numbers and talk to them daily even playing COD and BF on PS I never met any guys like that on PS but I have on XBox. I forsee the Xbox community being a little more mature than the PS community they won't be perfect by any means and there are the bad apples in every community. Some will bunt dance, some will dashboard, some will be toxic but I feel that the Xbox community will play games all the way through especially because most will find out that the momentum can change at any moment. I've had games down by 8 in the 7th and finally found my groove and made a come back still ended up losing but I took it to extras because both of us buckled down and start pitching better I lost because I kept my out of stamina pitcher in and he hung a breaking ball it was a good game

Stoked to play with you all this year!
Any idea where the PS logo next to your name is coming from? I've seen a few people on here with them and assume it's due to a change they made to how accounts work.
I'm assuming there won't be seperate forums and whichever platform you play on will include that icon after your ID.
Not sure how it will work if you play on both platforms. Maybe you can only sign into the forum via one ID.
That is correct when logging in it now gives an option to sign in via XBox Live account. It also seems like you are correct with not being separate forums that wouldn't make much sense as they would then have an additional thing to monitor

It depends in which edition you got. There is the Current gen only which is 59.99. The Next Gen only which is 69.99, then the 3 Jackie Robinson editions all of which come with both the Current and next Gen edition for which ever system you got PS4/5 or Xbox One/Series X

Been playing MLB TS for a while. I'll be getting it on my Series X now that I do not need a PS to play it. There are dozens of us! You HEAR ME!?! DOZENS!!!
I'm talking about the noobs that have never played the game. There's going to be a ton of them.
There used to be a learning curve for this game. It took me a couple years to learn how to hit. At least these noobs have rng on their side.
This is true I've been playing DD for about 2 years now start late in TS 18 all of 19 and most of 20 I still struggle to hit well sometimes I struggle other times it's the game with Good timing and Good PCI for a weak Fly ball so the new guys will get crushed I'm an Xbox player but have PS for TS and I can't wait to use a controller I'm more comfortable with
So this is something I was just thinking about and it got me curious on other people's thoughts as a Dodgers fan my list will have Dodgers on it as I don't follow other teams this is something I'd like the community to come together and possibly give SDS an idea in what we might want to see. In terms of content specifically with the Prospect and Future Stars cards. My list for the Dodgers off the top of my head goes as follows
FS Edwin Rios (to my knowledge he never got a Prospect or Future Stars card his 94 in TS 20 was a Topps now)
FS Kiebert Ruiz (only got a gold Prospect in TS 20)
Prospect and FS Josiah Gray
Prospect and FS Kody Hoese
Prospect DJ Peter's
Prospect and or FS Cody Thomas
Thoughts on who we see as Prospects and Future Stars in MLB TS 21?

I mean they never really try to catch up new PS players each year who have never played the show. I imagine they will have a deeper tutorial in-game guides for newbies. Also, I've only owned a PS to play the Show year in and year out but since I have a Xbox Series X I'm switching this year.
I'm curious how they'll handle the forums this year with players like myself switching?
I have had a PS since the end of MLB the Show 17's life cycle primarily wanted it for RTTS but mid way through 18 I tried out DD and have been hooked in terms of win percentage it's gone up each year did horrible in 18 but didn't start playing till late July early August and couldn't catch up. However before I got my PS I was pretty up to date having watched YT videos about it before hand. I believe they have already stated they will have an in depth tutorial for new players I could be wrong about that though. In regards to the forums they have already added the ability to sign in via your XBL account I'd imagine it will be the same way its been for PS players just using their XBL info.
Check swings have been pretty bad but some umpires are very bad at calling them however I had one game fairly early on where the bat of the hitter was pointed at my pitcher on a check swing and it was called a ball I'm sorry but even a blind person could see it was a swing the guy even messaged me after he intentionally struck out and was like "I took the K because that check swing was BS I should have been out on that call" one of the few decent players I've gone up against that I didn't mind the loss I took. It's rare but sometimes people actually aren't bad. But check swings 100% need to be fixed or if nothing else make base umpires worse. Also in RS the umpires need to reflect their real life counter parts. a lot of umpires give an in or 2 off the plate but if nothing else at least let me dot just off the plate for a strike like if the ball is touching the strike zone let me get that call more often. But I know I'm in the minority when I say I was worse umpires because then they would also have to call some strikes balls. I'm just rambling stuck on shift at 1230 so don't mind me too much lol at the point of no filter
So one thing I would like to see is a few more catcher pick offs, not a drastic amount but maybe a skill that makes a particular catcher more likely to pick off a runner, I've done it once and that was in MLB TS 19 I picked a guy off second with SS Russell Martin but it was a 2-6-5-4-1 pick off I'd like to see if a balls in the dirt and the catcher blockes it or catches it the runner kinda freezes and the catcher has a chance to pick him off. I'd also like to see a skill for some pitchers that makes it harder to steal on or a skill that makes them more effective at pick offs, good example is Clayton Kershaw he has one of the best Left handed moves I know there are right handers that have phenomenal moves to first so give them a skill to increase the likelihood that they will pick a guy off especially the slower guys. Again using Kershaw as an example in the WC against the Brewers in the 8th he picked a guy off who didn't have a big lead but the guy wasn't the smartest of base runners.
This is just a thought. or maybe just maybe they fix the catcher animations because I never get the throw meter with any chance to throw the guy out even with prestige Posey. But what would you guys think about having a better chance to pick a guy off using the catcher and a skill for pitchers who have phenomenal moves having a better chance to effectively pick off a runner with a normal lead, because as it is now the only way to get a pick off is if the player extendedthe lead off the base. Also on that note if a guy is in the middle of extending his lead if I pick off he should be dead to right 100% of the time you don't see this BS of extending and shortening a lead off the base with out consequence even in Bush league baseball. I play weekend baseball and had a guy try to "bird dog me off first" I'm left handed and timed my move perfectly as his weight shifted in the wrong direction he was dead to rights, he did the same thing with one of our right handed pitchers and got picked off as well. Any thoughts

Absolutely need, need, need to be able to have an open world aspect. I mean open world in the simplest fashion, I need to be able to go to the gym and practice field once a day for each gym increases the cap of the chosen ability and practice field increases the actual attributes. I'm on my RTTS Play in the MLB in LF for the Dodgers and I've been stuck on 65 fielding cap since I was in AA (skipped AAA) I check every single time I have the option to upgrade and not once has fielding cap been there. You could also argue that the Gym and practice field do the opposite gym is the attributes field is the cap or a combination depending on what you want to work. Like if you want to work power the gym is the place to increase the attributes and working on "power swing" is the cap if you want to work fielding practice fielding is the only option you can choose to work the cap or the attribute itself. Vision batting cages none of this mini game on the players phone BS you get in the cage for the same amount of time and work on hitting. Keep the ability to get more points for doing well in the event. But the fact I have not had the option in legit 4 months (in game time) to increase my fielding cap is not it.
So you want to take 3months to play a season and when you get the 2022 game you have played maybe 3-4 seasons because all your time was in the gym and practice field
Please read carefully what I posted I am not being insulting in any way shape or form I said "I need to be able to go to the gym or practice field" not that it's required because I also never said anything about taking the experience gained during games, like I said in my post my character has been stuck at 65 fielding for month of in game time and I'm never given an option to upgrade the CAP. This is simply adding more control to the player which is accurate to real life if a player struggles with something he is going to work on that particular skill to improve it that is all I want, if a person chooses to spend every available opportunity in the gym or practice field that is their choice. Also again true to real life before every single game is a practice that is 100% mandatory for players to be at if they are late or miss it they are benched and fined I'm not saying make it mandatory because then that would drive people away but make that available as the practice field/gym. I'm simply asking for more control. Again my opening statement was not meant as any type of insult because I specified that we should be able to go to the gym or field if we so choose.
Not sure if you've heard already but 2 way players will be a thing in 21 100% confirmed can't wait to dominate the mound and first and hit nukes. Irl I pitch and play first as a 6'7 lefty I excel at first gonna be lit
I'd also like to see a kinda dynamic duo situation like the bash bros. Or if your a pitcher you get a personal catcher or middle infield you can make spectacular combinations plays if one gets traded they remain friends but the rivalry kicks in but it makes both of you gain better against each other. Still on the same team the boost with that player is double what normal friends and bros offer
