I saw this being discussed in another thread a thought it deserved its own.

I’m a lifelong Cubs fan and loved Mark Grace and Greg Maddux. I followed the Braves closely as well after Maddux left and really enjoyed watching Chipper too. I was lucky to have WGN and TBS available to watch these guys all the time.

    FYI, I’m 36.

Alan Trammell was my favorite player growing up. Liked Ryne Sandberg as well, mostly because the Cubs were on everyday after school back then.

Pujols and Yadi, I don't remember a time when the Cardinals didn't have Yadi on their team, as long as I've been a fan, he's been there.

Growing up in St. Louis during the painful teams of the 70's pre Whiteyball it was Ted Simmons.

I also enjoyed seeing Johnny Bench when the Reds came to town.

There's a few more from my childhood I rooted for: Lou Brock, Pete Rose, Craig Nettles, Nolan Ryan, John Stearns, Dave Kingman, Dave Parker...but Simba was my all time fav.

It feels like Yadi's family has been playing in the league for the last 30 years.

I sat in Candlestick to see Will Clark but I’d be lying if I said I didn’t root for the Bash Bothers too. What kid in the 80s didn’t want Canseco’s 86 Donruss rookie card?

Many people will disagree and some may give me an earful, but to me it's Barry Bonds. The man is simply the best hitter of all time in my opinion, despite all that cream and clear. I loved watching that man destroy balls.

Met Sandberg last year. He was heading on a fishing trip getaway. Nice guy, approachable and down to earth

    Oh and I’m 36 too

As a 15 year old, watching Dave Parker win the world series with the Bucs in 1979. Loved his swing. Plus a canon for an arm.

I’m a Mets fan so for me it was HoJo and Strawberry. My favorite non-Met was Andres Galaragga, probably because he made so many terrific plays at 1B vs the Mets.

HATED Andy Van Slyke, Willie McGee, and Brett Butler.
