You willingly spent $200, nobody forced you to buy in. On your own, you gave $200 of your own money.
It's almost like real life and I'm an avid baseball card collector, however I don't blame Topps if I don't end up with a "hot box" or don't pull the high end auto Trout.
I've bought packs from the shop and didn't pull diamonds and I didn't blame SDS.
This is on you...maybe make smarter decisions with how you spend and quit blaming someone else, or something else. All you.
I am beginning to believe this sense of entitlement theory that's spreading like poison ivy in this forum.
Strictly Off-line Player:
Runners not sliding into bag, casual jog within 2-3 steps and tagged out; fielders moving slow motion on grounders and fly balls; no sense of urgency on throws after fielding; outfielders throwing home are always off target (unlike CPU); CPU 0 speed is faster than player 43 speed; hitting timing for player is still off; pitching is still off kilter with excellent release a [censored]-shoot; CPU called strikes on the black, none for player; CPU knows exactly when you're going to steal; player pitchers with very good to excellent control are very wild and routinely miss spots while CPU common 60+ pitcher dots the zone with Maddux precision; CPU defense is the greatest show on turf while your gold/diamond fielders have zero try; difficulty versus CPU is not matching correctly and it's evident with the way the CPU responds during gameplay (this is happening during content drops and is usually corrected on the usual Sunday or Monday "server maintenance" routine).
I've been dedicated and loyal to this game...however I'm disappointed with the product (except for content releases...the issue is overall gameplay) and the fun factor is at a low. My Show morale is slowly evaporating...
Exactly, just buy him without losing 40k. At this point I’m just buying the folks I want without pack purchases.
Today's games have seen him at Petco Park sitting offset of home plate, 1B side, AND, directly behind home plate at Polo sporting a brown cap.
Sorry, it's become a thing the past couple of years. Anybody else ever spot his likeness? And, @Victor_SDS or @Collin_SDS, is there anyone else from SDS in the stands to try to spot/locate?
So, after 30 attempts, completed twice only to have second double (both times) not count (even rounding 2B when runner thrown out at home - this exact play two times and I've watched saved replay over and over again with jaw dropped), finishing with base hits and homers galore, square-X-circle swings, ending with more SB's than JR had all season, JR failing to leave batters box multiple times, HPB's, BB's, trying to steal in 3-2 counts, C-mart hitting batters, teammates failing to run, JR unwilling to take leads even when pressing button, CS's after reaching 2B or 3B (phantom outs)...I'm done (not to mention conquest stats not registering).
I started JR 2-2B, 1 SB moment at Silver 50 and I'm checking out at Silver 61 (proof working counts, getting hits and SB's), so thanks for the XP. Also, thanks for ruining JR Day experience. I'll just move on happy with the Gold JR.
Just very disappointed, frustrated and irritated. Sorry to vent.

It takes what like 3-5 games online? I think you'll survive lol
This thread topic had good intentions when it started and then boiled into something else. Now it's coming across as a sense of entitlement for offline play. Always have to remember there are always more sides to a discussion, or argument...laws of debating.
Look, (as Skepple and a few others know that I've chatted with over the years and respect their input and opinions), I'm an offline (offline meaning no RS or BR) strictly player and I enjoy grinding, however I won't argue the online "rewards" offered. I'll complain about the asinine moments/missions yes BUT...
...the rewards are fair on both fronts because each gamer (I'm 49 btw) plays differently: offline and online. We get ours and they're allowed theirs.
We choose to not put up with H2H shenanigans, they do. They don't want to grind vs CPU, we do. Props to SDS for the constant struggle to juggle a fair route for both.
If we, offline players, want more then we'll happily dabble a bit in online. Like with Musial a couple years back ('18 if I remember correctly) I was all in.
Such as with life "you get what you give" and if you want more then you're going to have to put in a little extra.
Again, started good...in all honesty, offliners or onliners (this BS of elite and casual) are no different...some have more skill than others and in the reality of it all: we're all gamers that pick how we want to play (and I've been that way since '16).
Growing up in St. Louis during the painful teams of the 70's pre Whiteyball it was Ted Simmons.
I also enjoyed seeing Johnny Bench when the Reds came to town.
There's a few more from my childhood I rooted for: Lou Brock, Pete Rose, Craig Nettles, Nolan Ryan, John Stearns, Dave Kingman, Dave Parker...but Simba was my all time fav.
Tebow took time before and after a game in Hickory to meet kids, sign autographs and pose for pics. Guy is sincere. And kudos to him for living the dream.
Post patch 5 games in and I'm disappointed...much the same and not seeing, or feeling, any change. I usually give a week of solid play before thumbs up, or down. However, as of right now...thumbs down. Let's see how the next 7 days go. This loss of confidence in the game is still growing, as well as the perfect/perfect double plays. Pitching remains a train wreck. Lesson learned...I'm out on getting '21.

It’s a single with a advance on throw. Happens sometimes. I don’t know what to say of it was an actual double In game announcer even says they are doubles.. games broke It's not a double if the outfielder has the option to throw you out at 2B but decides to throw to either 3B or home, that would be judged a single with a runner advanced to second base on a fielder's choice. The game announcer is programmed to only register that you made it to second, that's why he's calling it a double even though it's not.

I understand what you're getting to, however ball hit; goes down the line into the corner; before fielder gets ball JR already between 1st and 2nd; fielder throws ball in while JR at 2nd; cutoff fires home, JR now a few trots off from second having already touched bag, runner out at home. Again, having already rounded 2nd. This is a clean double all day even with lead runner pegged at the plate...this same exact play happened twice with same results. I am aware that if before full commitment to second base I decide to send JR after fielder gets ball then I am, in fact, advancing on the throw. This, from the play(s) mentioned, is not the case in this instance.

Love baseball and so do my two sons. Its an added way I can connect with them now that they're grown and miles apart.
Man...I'm "checking out" on a few folks that I once enjoyed reading their threads. I once respected the opinions and insight they shared, but not anymore. But hey, it's an open forum, who am I?
Do better, be better...
When Jimmy Baseball was a wee lad in coach pitch leagues in SoCal, he caught 3 innings of underhanded toss. Those skills transfered over.

An example: Sonny Gray at Coors compared to Sonny Gray at Crosley. At Coors, 3 homers in a row to batters 1,2 &3. Same batters at Crosley K, 5-3, K. Same lineup, same time of day 1pm, different park. I didn't believe the effect until I had it happen to me. Were they all the same pitch and location as well? Not sure if this is a sarcastic response from you as I was agreeing with a previous comment, but the common denominator was the slurve. The slurve was hit for very long homers at Coors and at Crosley it was the out pitch. I use that as a down and away pitch...it didn't do it's intended purpose at Coors. No sarcasm here. I was just asking so I can try it when I get the chance to play again.

Gotcha.
Hi, I'm Evan and I too am an offliner, I admit it.
I once tried the online games during the Musial program a few years back (bobblehead era) and lost interest after the way some folks went about playing, just poor sports and toxic comments post game. I'm not saying that is what you find playing everyone, however a few can ruin the experience to where I'm just not interested in the shenanigans. Just wasn't a fun experience.
The only online I play now is just games against my sons or a created league of people we know (we have fun, joke, laugh and enjoy the games).
Yea, I agreed with @raesONE_PSN when it was originally brought up a couple weeks back. It can be irritating at times...the random floater on perfect release...that and the CPU getting solid hits on pitches out of the zone. The other aggravating issue with pitching is painting edges and corners and not getting the call by blue while the CPU gets these calls rather routinely. "Dammit blue...you're giving it to them, let me have it too! I'm even the home team." Lol
