Calling someone “Scooter” and generally addressing them like they are an imbecile does not establish you as a baseball god.
Get over yourself, man.
This isn’t an exploit tho...
Is Kluber used this way irl? No way. But I have no doubt if he can throw 110 pitches in a game, he can throw 20 5 days in a row. That’s the argument I don’t understand. They don’t get a chance to do this irl because teams don’t actually have 5 “aces” to throw where they can utalize one in the pen without hurting their starting staff. I’d bet you money if a team had 5 aces and more on the bench, one would be throwing out of the pen. So comparing this to irl is not a good decision anyways.
Back to the game - it is realistic. Their arm isn’t becoming more tired because they’re coming in in relief. Relievers tend to lose stamina quicker because the majority of them throw harder than they would over 9 innings, and they are trained to throw shorter periods of time. Kluber’s velo doesn’t all of a sudden rise as the closer, so his energy shouldn’t be compared to that of a reliever at all. He’s going to have more stamina than them soley because he’s not throwing as hard and his arm is used to throwing longer periods of time. That would be the equivalent of a bullpen to him.
Next - if we want to talk making it “irl,” if a team had the options we have at SP, and the options we have at RP, you don’t think they’d sign more starters and just use them as long relievers and closers? We can’t do that in the game cause we can only have 5 equipped at a time, but that’s what would happen if they had the same staff we have access to. So you can’t say “it doesn’t happen irl” because many things differ here than irl
I think he just ended this entire discussion.
I certainly hope so. I believe you've already made yourself look like enough of a tool.

Just like everything else, if it happens once or twice in real baseball, it’s gonna happen in MLB the show all of the time.

People saying this is a part of Baseball smh. Only times another starter is used is: 1. They used a opener. 2. The starter got hurt or getting blasted early in game. Even then it's still very rare.
It's mostly used in the playoffs not every game.
Starters out the pen should lose 2x energy a reliever would and take longer to recover. Or you shouldn't be able to use a starter out the pen till all of your relievers are used. -
I woke up early this morning and since it's memorial day coming up, I wanted to get a good cheese and wine platter delivered.
I started googling and this thread popped up. Had to stop by and see what the big deal is.
Pro Tip- git gud. Who cares about who your opponent brings in. The object is to win the game. If you aren't concerned about winning, then there's nothing to see here as this topic doesn't apply to you.
Now apple and Gouda go well with a Willamette Valley Pinot Noir. Back to work.

Although I do like your Police Academy reference, I’m far from the man that Tackleberry was. He was a true marksman with the .44 Magnum. I just carry a glock
You talk about being able to give opinions...but the second somebody disagrees with yours, you become the keyboard warrior. Well yes I gave my opinion on your post and said I thought it was dumb. But I was talking about YOUR OPINION! I never once insulted you as a person or the integrity of your character. I disagreed with your opinion and said it was dumb. Yet you then immediately started to insult me as a person, my job, and my character. We all know that little kids these days can’t stand when somebody disagrees with them and then feel the need to lash out, but it’s ok if somebody disagrees with you dude. You don’t have to immediately start to call them names or insult their job, or their way of life.
Why don’t you just grow up and be a man and try to have a civilized conversation instead of being so quick to hate on somebody?

We all know that little kids these days can’t stand when somebody disagrees with them and then feel the need to lash out, but it’s ok if somebody disagrees with you dude. You don’t have to immediately start to call them names or insult their job, or their way of life.
Why don’t you just grow up and be a man and try to have a civilized conversation instead of being so quick to hate on somebody?
You belittled me. You know you did. And now you’re trying to pretend to be enlightened. You started it, and I finished it. That’s what dads do to their sons. They teach them lessons.
So next time you make a post giving your opinion, and someone comments and gives an opposing one, just say, “Thanks for contributing to the conversation.”
But if you talk out the side of your mouth to people, they might just do it back to you. When that happens, either apologize or bow out gracefully. Don’t try to manipulate everybody into believing you’re all innocent and mature in all this.
You’re the guilty one here.

Why don’t answer Will’s post, Office Glock? He gave some pretty compelling arguments as to why the system is not an exploit, and why it works the way it is.

A lot of you say you aren’t against SPs out the pen on principle, because it does happen occasionally “irl.” But that there should be a “penalty” or “consequence” to using a starter out of the pen, why? You all say, the starters should lose twice the energy if they come out the pen? That doesn’t make any sense.
What about the reverse: if I use my closer as an opener, should he lose stamina twice as slow?
The players have stamina and durability attributes for a reason. They shouldn’t be magically altered because you don’t like your opponent’s strategy.
