That's my point. The stealing attribute has nothing to do with actually stealing bases.

I only have one preset. I deleted the others so that all my mode specific settings are manual.

How do I get out of this quagmire?

I have a similar issue. Anytime I talk to my agent and tell him I'm not happy, the only topic that is brought up is me being traded, not about going full time as a pitcher or position player.

Why not? I use CPU Roster Control and AI doesn't change lineups for any CPU team. Of course, I select all 30 teams when starting a franchise.

Absolutely do not use CPU Roster Control. It disables all trades, so you will never be allowed to trade anyone throughout that franchise, and it disables all budgets for every team.

I don't care about budgets. As for trades, you can do that with CPU Roster Control by using player movement.
