Wait so you think being able to “contact swing” and hit BOMBS regularly was a realistic/good thing?? What’s the point of having normal or power swing in that case? Why not just have one swing. There was absolutely no upside in using power or normal before they nerfed it and that’s ridiculous. A contact swing is supposed to be a compact swing that you use when behind in the count to decrease the likelihood of striking out. Thus the trade off in power. I heard wayyyyyy more people complaining about it being overpowered and you’re the first I’ve seen that didn’t want it nerfed so I’m not so sure you’re correct in assuming there will be an exodus due to that update. It was a very cheap way to play the game and I say good riddance.

like the post was too long, i just read the title and came here to say i also love this game and im so happy to see some positive posts about it on the forum and thanks SDS for being amazing

I just lost a BR game in which I was dominating my opponent on the mound but yet every time I took the lead it would give him bloopers until he tied it back up. He literally hit 6 bloop singles in 4 innings and 3 of them came back to back to back in extra innings which pissed me off so bad. I had 3 perfect pci swings but barely off perfect timing that he caught with his back touching the wall on all 3. They literally were all 3 less than 5 feet from being HR’s. I swear this game punishes people who are decently good but not top tier. The terrible players get bloop hits almost every time they need them and the elite players get HR’s anytime their PCI squares up the ball. Like go watch some of the YouTubers that play this game and you’ll see that they get some of the luckiest breaks I’ve ever seen. Anyways rant over. Lol

I could honestly live with the freeze-offs and the VERY RARE disconnect (specifically my end) from online games last season. But now it’s like every third game I randomly disconnect in a 0-0 game. I wasn’t as mad when I had absolutely garbage internet last year because I always blamed it on myself. But this year I’m paying like 3x for a different WiFi brand and it’s like 15x faster upload/download so there’s no way this is on my end.

Now throw everything I said away because I can LIVE with online being like that. BUT now this season I’m disconnecting from freaking offline games(most of the time it doesn’t even tell me until AFTER the game) and then for mini seasons it counts it as a loss. So I just won a 3 inning game 4-0 and racked up a whole bunch of stats and now it says it’s a loss. And this happens about once every 5-6 games, completely killing whatever grind session I had planned. Please please fix this issue as this NEVER happened last year.

I think you’re talking about the team affinity showdown... that one was easy as cake. I could run through it in less than 10 mins. The brand new inning showdown is a little more difficult. The reason why I say you’re thinking the wrong one is there’s literally no reason to do the 4th inning showdown more than once after you beat it.

I put the ball in play 20 times.. 7 of which had PCI of 14 or high and didn't get one of those to be a hit.

He put the ball in play a whopping 11 times TOTAL.... ONE PCI of a 14. Everything else was a 12 or lower.... Including the game winning HR.

Now this is All-Star Hell of course since the season reset. But Can someone please chime in here and tell me Git Gud or defend the game to the end of times. Because that was literally the most frustrating games I have ever played.

How do I check PCI placement ratings? I know I’m probably bringing myself a world of frustration with this ability but I’d like to know so I know which ones were good and which ones were bad. I mean I already know you want the ball slightly above dead center of the circle but I’d still like to see how some of my hits are rated. And what’s the scale? Is 14 the best or does it go higher?

And just to rant in harmony with you I literally played this exact same game yesterday. Dude was one of those annoying bunt dancers/R2’ers and I had 1-0 lead in the bottom of the third (event game) with two outs and he was bad bad bad. Anyways he hits a ball directly at my 2B (Soriano 92 fielding) and Soriano did the ol terribly unnecessary slide and let the ball go right through his glove like there was a hole in it and right when that happened I told my girlfriend watching me that his next batter was going to hit a homerun. Sure as sheit David Ortiz came up and slammed a no doubter. I looked at the PCI and the ball was on the far left edge barely touching it. So in my worthless opinion I 100% believe games are scripted. Oh and now that the Moonshot event is over I’ll say Chi Chi Gonzalez is a dam boss for me! 0.93 ERA through 38.2 innings pitched! I honestly couldn’t believe it. I’m sure it was a long stretch of luck but still...

I know right dude!! It’s my biggest fear! Way more so than giving up the ol game winning no doubter! I’ve always wondered if there would be a script or something saying “hey dumbarse you picked this one already!” but never got stupidly curious enough to find out!

Go into batter analysis at the end. Go to type I believe and go over till it says PCI something. So when you’re on the very first screen after the game that has box score. But honestly it will probably just drive you crazy... you were warned...

I agree with this wholeheartedly. The only thing I do is bullpen moves and rarely pinch run. As far as stealing goes I only go for second but I do it rarely. Not every time I have a 97+ speeder on base. When I first started playing a couple months ago guys could literally steal 2nd and 3rd on me every single time and it was a very bad experience. Luckily they fixed the lag that was killing pop time so now I can gun people down. Before they did that most of the time it would lag from the time your catcher caught the ball to the time you pressed the button for the base and you had to spam that base’s button but be careful to not botch the throw. And I don’t mind a ton of manager moves as long as they aren’t R2ing all the sudden and repeatedly pressing pause just to interrupt your pitch. Those guys are lame.

Dude it’s crazy but that’s how it is for me too!! Almost every card starts out HOT as the sun and the second I get them to P3 or P4 they forget how to swing a bat...

YEAAAAAA!! I just started using Pedro and he’s 4-0 with a 1.23 ERA/ 0.27 WHIP in this event yet Degrom is like 4-4 or worse with an ERA wayyyyy north of 10. I have noticed people sitting on the fastball but so do I and it’s still seems impossible to hit consistently. Then again I’m playing on a 70” TV so I’m probably screwed as far as response times go.

Yea are you having the problem when you try and throw a fastball on pinpoint where it goes red on the way up in the pattern and doesn’t allow you to finish the pitch and usually throws the ball either really high or right into the batters back?

Here’s how I see it. I’m worried. Rosario has almost carried us through this series and he is batting .600 last I checked. Don’t get me wrong Joc has been 2nd most helpful and if he hit a couple more HRs and Rosario went kinda cold then you could make an argument for him. But my worry is that if Rosario goes cold and nobody steps up in his place, (cough Freddie cough Ozzie) then we could very easily lose 2 games in a row to these guys at home. And also, it is absolutely imperative that Soler comes out and adds value to the lineup instead of hurting us. We need at least a HR outta him.

I always lose BRs in the craziest of fashion. Yesterday I lost my 10-0 game when Gold Hunter Renfroe (literally 92 fielding/98 reaction) dropped a line out ball for the final out with runners on second and third. I don’t think I’ve ever seen an outfielder drop that before and I’m sure 90% of them are way worse than Renfroe.

My biggest pet peeve has to do with packs. I know this is slightly off topic but how is there 53 different diamond players and I’ve pulled Shane Bieber 3 fukin times in a row now?!?! And before that I pulled Corbin Burnes twice in a row! I refuse to spend money on stubs and I have 500k from religiously saving but I’ll never complete the live series if I can’t pull at least one of the top 3.(Trout, DeG, Acuna) Literally the revealing of diamonds is the best part of the entire game for me but it’s starting to lose its luster when I keep seeing the same [censored] guy. Buying Acuna just wouldn’t feel as fun... I’ve been a huge Braves fan my whole life and I only own one sports jersey... and that would be Chipper Jones. I guess I’ll never see him in this game though.️ Rant over
Edit: I just realized I will see Chipper... the 79 Ovr. Silver Chipper...

I don’t think it’s as much about him being able to play the field as it is the benefit of having a pinch hitter/substitute that doesn’t take up one of your bench spots. So you could open up a bench spot for a situational sub such as a pinch runner or something and still have an extra power bat.

No problem. I think it's really hard to tell with these kind of cards because we don't know how many packs they will drop in the future. And that will be the deciding factor for these prices. If it were me, I wouldn't buy now though. I just looked on the market and they spiked significantly since yesterday, so it would probably be smart to wait until they do drop some of these packs in either in a new inning program or a conquest map or some other way like an event reward or something. Either way, keep an eye out for those packs to drop and the prices should go down.

No I’m sorry, I was asking if I should sell now? I pulled Vlad and Alonso and won’t need them to complete Sho. I plan to buy Vlad back when prices drop but I’m wondering if this is probably the top or will it run for another couple days. I pulled Rizzo when they dropped him and sold him immediately for 94k and watched him plummet to 50k within a week but I’ve gotten hosed with all my other pulls. I know you’re not a fortune teller but what I’m asking is would a veteran Show player sell now? It has been quite the spike over the last 12 hours.
