Like why not a ~97ish Future Stars card for him?! They’ve given plenty of other rookies those this year! Y’all keep saying Topps Now this Topps now that... pretty sure I never said that he should be a 99 ovr Topps Now! The Topps now cards are for stories not actual performing players and Grissom has shown what his true potential is now.

Ok so let me get this straight... he made MLB history as the youngest player to hit a HR and swipe a bag in his debut game. And that’s not even mentioning that homer was over the green monster... THEN he brakes a franchise record, dating all the way back to 1901, when he scores a run in each of his first four games. And then now through 11 games he has a .395avg, 12 runs, 3 HRs, and an OPS north of 1.100 now. Not to mention he’s been great defensively and he’s 21 years old... insane. All I’m saying is he deserved at least a 95 ovr with what he’s done... and the fact that they’ve released him as a 93 over Topps now means it’s highly unlikely he would earn the player of the month card even if he keeps this pace up... Idk I was just hoping to get a card that could actually compete at this stage in the game. Yea there may not be that many 99 batters but there seems to be plenty of ELITE pitchers so far... how is a 93 card even supposed to have a chance?

Wow way to completely drop the ball... Vaughn Grissom has had one of the hottest starts of any rookie this year and he’s actually keeping it up so far too! Yet y’all drop a 93 card for him... yuck. A card that is so useless at this point. Nice. I guess it’s what I expected.

SDS is next level stupid if they think they have the double play mechanics anywhere close to being realistic. Slow-rollers to third base are turned successfully like 95% of the time in this game. But yet in real life the only double plays EVER turned from third are hard hit grounders. The major issue is that they don’t have the runner on first get a good enough secondary lead and they let 3Bs and SSs throw these line drive throws to second base all while their running the opposite direction?!? In real life even the BEST defenseman like Arenado won’t even try to turn two if the ball is hit to their right yet this game allows them to do this circus-like submarine throw with perfect accuracy if you stop the meter in a HUGE green zone. They need to make the green zone for these types of throws wayyyyy smaller so there’s actually a gamble to trying to turn these crazy double plays that are too routine at this point.

I’m saying you shouldn’t be able to foul tip pitches that bounce in the dirt and all you have to do is swing early and you have a hit. You can’t pitch fast balls because everyone just swings early and send it’s to the moon. So did you get it straight now moron?

Hitting was better a couple days ago. They changed somthing. People will fall out of their chairs to defend this saying they didn't nerf hitting, but it's obvious.

Idk why, but the cynical side of me sees all these "collect pxp" missions and thinks, maybe they nerfed hitting so we wouldn't blow through these challenges. But that's probably not it, as we were going to complete these fast anyway. Exit velo is way down, timing windows are smaller, etc. Christ your lucky to score 2 runs in a conquest game right now.

Its still doable obviously, but it does make the game more boring.

Edit: it's like this every year. Hitting is amazing at release and then a few people start complaining about how online play has too many homeruns (why that's a bad thing I'll never know) because god forbid you lose every once in a while, and then all of the sudden hitting sucks for everybody.

But it did... I went from scoring 10-20+ runs a game on rookie to maybe 5 at the most now.. every ball is exactly squared up like it was three days ago. Perfect perfects with IDEAL launch angles are being caught at the track.(the only perfect perfects that should EVER be outs are those with bad trajectories) Jim Rice is either the worst player to ever be in MLB the Show or they’ve nerfed him. And also now the computer on rookie launches homeruns every inning almost when last year I had pitchers with ERAs under 0.5 vs CPU. They have definitely tweaked things.

Great job SDS!! You ruined a perfectly good game!! Way to learn from your overlord EA.... I guess we have now arrived at a very weird junction in video games. While adventure games and MMOs are getting better and better, sports games are headed the opposite direction. It makes no sense how technology is twice what is was 6 years ago yet some of the sports titles from 6 years ago are ten times better than this piece of junk.

I wouldn't be surprised to see one come up in the program path or maybe a hidden conquest reward. Since there's only 5 players I can't imagine they would give out more than 1 at a time right now.

To clarify -- the won't add Delgado or Morgan to it, it would just be the preorder pack added so you'd get to choose 1 of the original 5.

The Choice Pack probably will be random with being Rare or Common. With Rare having way lower Odds to get. Just Like Big Dog Set 3. Not everyone will get a choice of Awards David Price within in.

Maybe if they add new cards... but no, sadly they will not do a choice pack with Delgado or Morgan in it... they’ve never put a BR flawless choice in a separate choice pack. And the only way to get Delgado is through the Chase pack. I GUARANTEE you they will not shoot their Chase pack in the foot by doing that.

I play poker for a second income. I understand sample size. It still doesn’t change the fact that there’s only a 2% chance of this happening IF SDS is telling the truth with the advertised pull rate. And the fact that I see the cold streaks ALL the time. I’ve played the Show avidly for 3 seasons now and NEVER have I pulled Trout, Acuna, Tatis, or any player over 30k stubs. I’ve probably opened a total of ~2000 packs over that time and I’ve never seen any sort of hot streak with ANY of the TIER packs... I think some of y’all are confusing the point of my post. It’s not that my pack luck is so bad and blah blah blah. It’s that SDS is lying about the true odds of their packs. For instance if you read the odds for the Set Choice packs this year it says that you have a 33% chance to pull a 90+, a 33% chance to pull a 85+, and then a 100% chance to pull a gold player. But you see that’s misleading right there because that doesn’t even make sense! If you wanted people to clearly understand the odds of your packs you would say 10% chance of 90+, 20% chance of 85+, and 70% chance of gold. Instead of three outcomes that add up to a 166% chance of occurring...

Yes I'm "special" says the guy that spent 62.5k for a CHANCE at getting a card he could've bought outright for about 53k. Wrap your head around that one.

Packs will always let most of us down. I never pay for Flatliners packs. You're asking for a letdown.
Chase Packs are ACHES packs. Some will get lucky, most not. I'd rather wait for Delgado to go down in price than to watch a Bronze or Silver reveal show.

Yea I’ll never buy another pack again after tonight... except for when they do the ASG/HRD packs. Because you can actually get cards out of those that make them worth buying.. like last year it was 25k but you had a 10% chance to pull Vlad who was going for 200-300k, and a 33% chance to pull Story or Soto who were going for 80-90k.(the pack with this tier was the only one that was profitable)

Bro, why didn't you just buy Marte? He's 49K on the market. I can guarantee you the odds are 100% that you'd have Marte and an extra 20k stubs saved. Don't buy packs. Just buy the cards you want.

Honestly bro I was going to... I told myself I was just gonna buy 1/5 of the 7500 packs and if I got lucky then cool but if not then oh well.. but then I bought my first pack and it gave me 2 bronzes and a god-awful silver. I was so tilted that I bought another. And then got the same [censored]. At this point I was seeing red so my dumb [censored] bought the 25k pack without even hesitating... what do I get as my highest choice?! 82 ovr Edwin Diaz... for freaking 25k?!?! That’s ridiculous! I mean Marte is only worth 55k in the first place so why are they selling a pack that RARELY gives him for like 1/2 the cost of him?! This is my EXACT point!! It’s so SLIMEY that SDS would even offer these scams!!!! That’s all I’m saying!

I love all of you high school drop-outs that think that I don’t know anything about odds because of all the dumb reasons y’all have listed, that literally half of make no sense whatsoever. But anyways I guess I’ll go on to assert that the probability of me not pulling a diamond/top tier out of 5 set packs, 7 “big dog” packs, and 4 set choice packs is right at 2%. But this isn’t my first cold streak either... these 2% runs seem to happen quite frequently. So either A) Ive just experienced an INCREDIBLY unlucky streak or B) the odds listed on their packs are nowhere near accurate.
