So I finished beating every stronghold on the US map today, but I still had 243 territories left to go. I timed it and it took me 46 minutes and 7 seconds of strictly simulating games to beat the map. It has to be one of the most mind numbing experiences I've had playing the show. I love this game and conquest is fun, but the setup seriously needs an update. It hasn't been changed in ages and its a nightmare to sim games for that long.
can somebody recommend an eye doctor? i could swear this guy just recommended replacing a free 99 switch hitter with some dude that costs 400k and is batting .159
like im as big of a dodgers fan as youll find but i cant think of a quicker way to lose RS games
i mustve read this wrong, please someone recommend an eye doctor quick i think im blind or dyslexic
I honestly would put Realmuto higher haha, nice to see him getting some love nonetheless though. His swing is really nice in my opinion and I love the fact that he can basically completely shut down any stealing
if u stopped using contact swing those balls would probably be home runs
no, not at all
I think the simplest solution is for SDS to add the option to require confirmation when buying and selling in the market and then give the user the ability to toggle it on/off. Then everybody's happy.

I enjoyed using the 84 Reggie Jackson and was excited to see the recently released 95. However, rather than looking like an upgrade to the earlier version, this looks like a different player altogether. The 84 is 20 pts quicker and is stronger against lefties. The 95 also has slightly lower arm strength, stealing and vision, but has better hitting against righties. Can I realistically expect the 95 to play similarly to the 84? Or would the 2 versions of the same player be as different on the field as they appear to be on the stat sheet? Thanks!

I think he should play pretty similarly. The swing/stance won't change and all of his hitting stats are a major upgrade over the 84. I highly doubt the two less arm strength will be a noticeable difference. The decrease in speed will hurt his range in the outfield a little bit, but nobody starts Reggie Jackson for his defense and hitting the bronze reaction and fielding threshold should help alleviate the lack of speed issue to a degree. I think the 95 is very much an upgrade over the 84.

Should I start or bench chipper. He’s only hitting .400 for me online and just wondering if I am missing out by keeping him in my lineup just because he’s a 99.
A player of your skill? Only hitting .400? Send him to the bench ASAP. I'd recommend 92 Mike Schmidt instead. He has a really slow swing, so you won't have to worry about being very early on those 102 MPH Chapman fastballs on legend like you always are. You should be able to hit plenty of perfect timing HRs with him and bat at least .600
did we really spend 14 pages talking about this?????? wow
its pretty simple: a. its a feature in the game its not cheating; b. dont be a [censored] and hold R2 down every single pitch; c. dont get upset when someone does it occasionally to check things like stamina/pitch confidence/etc or stop u from quick pitching.
like this game is some people's life basically, especially some of the streamers. it takes a lot practice and time to get that good
i also think they dont stream constantly simply because its tiring and exhausting. it also might prevent them from completely focusing if its a tough game
Verlander is number one right now and I don't think it's particularly close.
deGrom is good if you know how to pitch with him--he's also much better on higher difficulties in my opinion. I think he's the second best.
Ohtani is number three. Good pitching and otherworldly hitting for a pitcher just means he can't be left out.
Nolan Ryan is comfortably fourth for me. Outlier is really nice at high levels online and this is one of his best cards ever in my opinion.
In a vacuum, I think Lefty Grove is fourth or fifth best. That being said, I've found a lot of people to be running pretty right handed heavy lineups in this meta or players like Chipper who crush lefties, so I haven't been using him much and have opted for trying newer pitchers like Johnson/Feller/Gibson. I don't think they're nearly as good, but mixing it up can be nice. With the exception of Shohei and his wonderboy, I greatly favor outlier pitchers.

@slipknot-008_xbl said in When you create a theme team for a club..:
I was having a discussion with a friend about this and I’m interested to see what the community uses for theme team parameters. We are talking team based, not state, country, etc. Do you put in prospects that never played for the big club but have been drafted by them? Do you require players to have X amount of years with the team? Do you try to balance with lefty and righty or aim for whatever’s best? Do you go for primary position or elect to have players play in secondary or out of position? It will be interesting to see people’s answers and thought processes behind team building!

a: sometimes. i usually prefer to have somebody that is an active or former major leaguer, but if its a really good future stars card at a position without a lot of depth ill include them. i also want them to still be in the teams farm system. like no way id use josiah gray on a dodgers theme team now that he got traded away
b: i dont have a specific years played requirement. i look at it more on a case by case basis. like for example, kenny lofton would never make a dodgers theme team cause he had one year played and it was at the end of his career. like nobody thinks of kenny lofton as a dodger. i would use scherzer cause he's actively on the team though despite it being only a short time (so far at least). same with like gary sheffield, he played long enough and well enough that even though that's not the team on his card or who he's most known for playing for, i dont think anybody would be surprised to see him on a theme team of theirs. that being said, if i had to pick between starting duke snider/gary sheffield, im picking duke 100% of the time because he is an iconic dodger and the game ratings are comparable
whatever's best. its a combination of getting my favorite players for that team on it and also fielding a quality lineup
d: i prefer to play them at their original position, but ill move them out of position if its to a spot that they played for the team occasionally and it helps fill the roster up. like some teams have a lot of good and iconic players that all played the same position so if you can move them around to make the roster better and more representative of the team id go for it
tl;dr its complicated and id just go with what feels right to you

i think theyve done multiple finest cards for the same team? like as far as im concerned just give them both one, if anybody deserves two its probably the giants
if you need an AL west lineup for grinding use this: (if you dont have cespedes, torii hunter is also amazing -- im not including trout because some of the missions dont count live series stats)
i know its a small sample size: https://i.gyazo.com/5e0de6572d089346894dff2088760ae0.png
but i can say with 98% certainty that there are only two people in existence better at baseball than honus wagner and neither of them are in this game

Turner in CF? Which Turner?
justin turner obviously
i know this sounds crazy but him in CF is exactly like frank thomas at 1B, terrible defense rating but you literally cant tell and he makes tons of amazing plays, plus his swing is probably the best in the game
i honestly didnt read the post
i just came here to laugh at the title
HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA
ok bye
