Showdown is an absolute trash mode.

Perfect perfects right at players, stupid moments where you can score 5 runs hitting doubles all over the place but fail because you need a homers, fielders that all play as if they are willie Mays or Ozzie smith and more double plays than I can count.
It is complete trash.

Haven't tried it yet. The ta3 showdown was a joke I beat it maybe 10 times in a row.
But I remember how much it seemed like it was rigged against you in ta1

I was getting ready to lose the final boss and cracked a perfect perfect with Joc Pederson to almost dead center. The center field ran it down with ease. That’s like 460 feet. I said screw it and let them double me up. Not worth it. I’ll just try again later.

Im solid at this game with a 36-2 record and my entire showdown run was hard hit balls at people. I barely scraped by. HR’s were robbed, PP were at people. I thought I was about to lose the final showdown. My off PCI hits easily had better results.

t’s a [censored] shoot at times but not for not I’d say most players end up beating the showdown. I’ve beaten this show down probably 10 times. I’ve lost once. That’s over 90% success. Play the game and laugh at some of the ridiculousness, it’s the only way you’ll stay sane

Yeah it’s not any fun, it’s like moments you can’t restart. Luckily I’m already at 630xp so I can skip this one

I had it tied up 15-15 with 15 outs left and thought oh well this was easy. I won on the last out after a whole bunch of shenanigans and I barely won at that!

I think you’re talking about the team affinity showdown... that one was easy as cake. I could run through it in less than 10 mins. The brand new inning showdown is a little more difficult. The reason why I say you’re thinking the wrong one is there’s literally no reason to do the 4th inning showdown more than once after you beat it.

Some of us don’t have the time to do it over and over. It takes about an hour, and if you fail you come away with maybe 2-3k xp, so it’s a massive time drain for very little progress towards any goals.

I think I have failed a showdown maybe 3-4 times all year. Imo, they are all too easy but posts like this remind me why they make them so easy. Could you imagine the amount of complaint posts we would have if they were actually difficult? Also, there is zero reason why it should take you an hour to complete one. That is just insane.

What is insane about it taking an hour? There are 11 less up missions then the final?
And I love the flex. You just had to tell everyone how good you are at the game.

I do feel like its rigged slightly. There are some moments where I am just hitting it right on the screws and its either right at people or they make a ridiculous diving play. I actually had a homer run robbed yesterday when I was trying to do to the 4th inning one. If the mode is truly on rookie or veteran difficulty, you would think the defense would reflect that slightly.

yeah it wasnt vital for me either but getting it done put me right around 630k as well so it just means ill get the 90+ pack today instead of in a couple of days. No big deal though

The ones in Tampa were annoying for me. Kiermier was just a god in CF and everywhere.

I apologize, I assumed you were talking about the TA3 SD. I never do the Main Program SDs because I don't need it.
Edit Also, the flex was unintended. Just saying that the majority of the SDs are extremely easy and we see a post about how terrible the SDs are multiple times a week.
