Again SDS taking pages from lesser UT modes by copying the seasons format. I honestly miss the old DD.

Yeah, honestly OPP ended my 2024 DD run. I was excited for the 99 Larkin card, but this TA just doesn't interest me. Maybe when Chapter 2 comes out.

My head is spinning. Tyler is human after all.

Yeah, taking a page out of Madden is never what I wanted out of DD. I wished all UT modes would take notes from SDS. Sad day indeed.

Whether they do one gigantic map or break it up into 3 maps; it's the same amount of games.

In fact USA map is one of the easiest ones to complete, you can play every game on Rookie if you were so inclined. If nothing on Veteran with ease.

It's a little more than that. For example, Josh Donaldson is a retired baseball player. However, for The Show purposes, he is not considered a Legend.

He still has a live series card in the game therefore he is not a legend.

I've mentioned this before. The date a player announces his retirement makes a difference in this game.

If you announce at the end of the season you will not be in next years game. If you announce in spring you will be in the game as a free agent.

Wainwright retired in Oct = No longer in the game.
Donaldson retired in March = Still in the game.

I don't know what the actual cutoff date is though.

Yup, exactly. Votto just announced, his cards are still flashbacks.

A way to think about that may help is how SDS acquired the player rights. If they are in the game as part of the MLBPA agreement all non LS cards are flashbacks, if they had to get the rights directly for that player, than Legend.

If that's the case I wonder how they missed Trevor Hoffman SS for the Reds.

I need @savefarris_MLBTS to weigh in, but I thought that "Flashbacks" are active players. The cards recognize a certain achievement. For example, Topps Now and Season Awards are considered Flashbacks.

Legends are retired players, whether or not we here on the Forum consider them to be "Legends". Again, I'll defer to @savefarris_MLBTS , but I don't think a Legend can also be a Flashback.

I hope what I just said doesn't elicit a "Billy Madison" quote...

And... I think Robin Yount belongs to a special class due to his sweet mustache. That reference is specifically for @SchnauzerFace_MLBTS . I miss him terribly on the Forum.

Yeah, Mantle was the worst for me. All others were easy most had 110+ power, Mantle is in the 80's.

I'm playing College Football until season 3, not counting the 2 hours it will take for each new small program they drop between now and then.

Lol. You think this game is a joke. Try college football. It's a nightmare by comparison. You can say it's first year growing pains, but they took an extra year and it's still bad.
