Can we get 99 Olerud back to 6'5 and not 6'?
His 93 is correct...

$10 million is not high in today’s standards, I’m sure some team wanting a veteran place holder with some power would take him on, if not eat 50% of his salary. Think he’s only got two years left after this. His defence isn’t bad either so he does have some value, I mean he is hitting better than Bellinger this year, but so is half the league.

If you're going to eat half his salary (10mill of 20 owed) you'll still get nothing back for him, so why trade him at all? He's useful as a 4th outfielder.. he just shouldn't be used against RHP or late in games (his RISP and high leverage numbers are absolutely horrendous).

Only way he goes is if the Jays take back an equally garbage contract. An overpaid reliever perhaps.

I run a Jays theme, although I’m a little more of a stickler. I don’t run Groshans because he hasn’t played a game with the big club so I alternate Semien and Bichette at short.

I also have Rickey Henderson on the bench, need some speed sometimes. And Alomar.

In the pen I’m trying to remember aside from the mentioned names who I run. LS Giles and Osuna, sig series Soria are ones that come to mind.

93 Dan Plesac, 91 Ryan Tepera would be a couple more I run

I was bored of doing god squads by MLB the show 16.. which is the 2nd real DD...
It's much more fun building all-time team rosters as best you can and beating opponents that way.

And Joe Carter I can definitely use!

He's 6'0.. way shorter in game..

Im not knocking Olerud, he was a great player for a few years. All the rest he was just good. They should have done a milestone catd for him.

Oh ya, I agree. He was my fav as a kid, but ya, he's no HOFer... But he did put up some huge years. '93 in particular was insane. He had an amazingly smooth swing.

He also never wore high socks...

I won't even get into his ratings and why his contact isn't maxed out when inferior hitters have higher contact ratings... Dude hit insane averages..

Can we please fix at least his height?? I can live with the high socks mistake .. but not that...
I waited 2 full years to finally get a useable Olerud and you shrink him 5 inches, among the other things..

With very little free time I have anymore, with a baby and work, I basically only build theme teams, mainly my Jays team.

So I went with Olerud, Molitor and Price.
Having 99 Pearson drop today was an amazing surprise!!! Plus 99 Donaldson the other day. I'm grinning ear to ear...
Just having trouble fitting Olerud, JD and Guerrero onto my roster... Tough calls

Any response? Seems like a simple fix... Odd that it would be Cavan all year and then switch to Craig..

Should be fixed or fixed in the next deployment.

As a Jays fan I feel bad that I haven't given Teo a fair shake in my lineup. His swing is compact and quick though from the little I have used. I like it more than Judge's swing so far.

I got to see Teoscar in three games against Texas live over this weekend. He looked good. Couple walks a three or four hits. He even swiped a bag. The Jays line up is SCARY. If they had another starter besides Ray,Ryu and Matz and a few arms in the bullpen they could be a serious contender.

I was just telling my friend the same thing. The Jay's have one of the scariest lineups in baseball. If they had a better bullpen and another starter or two, they'd be the scariest team in baseball.

Ya.. they're an ace, and 2 great-elite pen pieces away from being a WS contender.

Jeter's range was absolutely brutal.

As someone who grew up watching all of jeters career even seeing him play a lot I can say without a doubt the metrics don’t paint the real picture. I get the numbers say he sucked but Jeter was so consistent, no he wouldn’t make plays like José Iglesias, Rey Ordóñez, Ozzie Smith, A Simmons to name a few but you also never held your breath when the ball was hit to him. Plus since he always went all out you would get those highlight plays that everyone loved.

The issue with Jeter's defense is that he had no range.. like, historically bad. Especially to his left. He was fundamentally sound with what he got to, sure, and had a pretty good arm as well as a decent DP turn. But I'm not exaggerating when I'm saying he was historically bad at getting to what other SS's would get to. Hence why it's not as noticeable until you see his brutal metrics. ARod should have moved him off SS.. not the other way around.

Trammel, Yount and Jeter have very similar career numbers. Jeter being a bit better offensively, Tram and Yount lightyears better defensively.

Do you get excited to use Yount and Trammel every year? I'll hang up and listen.

To that note, Cal is way better than Jeter for their career and I don't get too excited to use him either..
