Sorry. Swing and a miss. For the love of Jeff, get fielding under control. If you've ever played or watched a baseball game, no one this side of Ozzie Smith dives 6 ft., fields the ball clean, bounces up and throws a tracer to 1st.

5 times a game? Sorry. My pet peeve every year. You can't foul off a pitch that bounces. Reign in contact swing.
Don't triple the size of the PCI to make the game easier.
If you use contact swing in anything but an 0-2, 1-2 count, you are a little girl who should be playing The Show: NCAA Softball '23. Seasons-- great idea!
But have a Wild Card for position players AND one for SP's and the bullpen.

These suggestions will not be implemented or even considered.
When you're the only "Show" in town with no competition, there is little reason to improve your game.
Copy and paste, and you have '24.

won't happen because it's how it used to be and I'd be surprised if they go back. They started the inner/outer PCI in 20. The idea was good (inner hitting, outer contact), the implementation however, was not.

The idea was that players that strike out a lot but have good plate discipline, awareness could battle fouling off pitches. In the old system, the size of the PCI would be too small for some of these players, so they made it two different things. Again, good idea, bad results.

I used to be a free swinger, but I am much better now at taking pitches. I make them throw strikes. If they are going to try to throw everything on the edges, I shrink my strike zone. Sooner or later, balls start falling into the middle of the plate. If somehow they are dotting, then I need to open up my strike zone. Totally fine with guys not throwing strikes. I have the biggest run games when I am walking.

My answer to bunt dancers is to successfully bunt with my entire line up. I'm really good at drag bunts, and I only use them if you bunt dance.

I made peace with the game by not buying it this year.

I logged in after thinking about why we don’t get it for free on PS+... It should be at some point, they’d surely make it up by selling stubs.

What’s insane is you can give up 5 hits in a game and 4 of them are homerun. The game isn’t a good product it’s just lazy garbage.

It’s really easy to tell who’s living in a bubble on here. How about you find something better to do with your time instead of [censored] sniffing SDs all day? You do know some people just leave their consoles on all the time lol. I work 60 hours a week and barely on weekends. I play maybe a few hours a day before bed

There doesn't necessarily have to be an advantage, it's just how some people operate. I used to do it all the time as well. Boot it up on the weekend, play an early game in the morning and then head out with the game still running on the lineup screen. Get home in the evening and play a few more. That will account for 12+ hours logged but you only really played a handful of games on that one day.
Now multiply that by let's say 52 days (being very generous here, just accounting for 1 day per weekend where you do this) and you'll have 624 hours of logged time of which you maybe spent 20%-30% actually playing.
And again, these numbers I'm using are very generous for your side of the argument, I know I left my console on pretty much every day.

Math and common sense aren't all that hard buddy. You should try it sometimes.

You know, I thought of this and maybe you can help me out because I would absolutely love that to tell you the truth! I played Tecmo Bowl online only to find no Bo Jackson, no Kevin Mack, no Lawrence Taylor…there’s just something about that touchdown screen displaying the correct name that is critical to invoke the proper level of nostalgia that I need to properly cling to the past haha…this horrified me and I never went back…but if it’s not like this with the old baseball games then I would happily play them online because then I don’t have to be at home when I play. I figured if they removed the names from there that they prob did it across the board. Perhaps not?

All of the NES ROMS I have squirreled away are versions from the late 1990s and everything is just how I remember it being back in 1985….well, except for they don’t look nearly as cool to me anymore as they did back then lol

Do you know if they have the correct player names, numbers etc online?

Also, I respectfully disagree with you on the retro mode being like RBI baseball for Nintendo…the players in that game look like the offspring from one of those little Fisher-Price toy people and a weeble-wobble lol…but I do like retro on here it’s more like a game from the mid 90s though not the mid 80s….big difference for me in that particular time frame. In one I was but a schoolboy and the other, a rifleman in the US Marines!

The number of Ground balls I've hit or had hit against me that hit the bag would make you believe it's a common occurrence that happens in every game. I had 3 of them in one game alone the other night.

The debate should be, which baseball game feels more realistic-- Mario Super Sluggers or The Show 23?

Love it. Game stinks, people here will cry about this post because they have an obsession with baseball, they put too much money into the game/all of their life and can’t stomach the thought of it being for a no reason/bad game.

the wildcard is there for sets that are no longer eligible.for set 3,set 1 is no longer eligible,but you could have one as the wildcard. but it's optional.

They arent answering tickets this year. Weird. I guess they have got real comfortable.

It’s kind of interesting because in previous years it seemed like it was easy to blame the cards just getting better. But this year we’ve had stacked teams from day one and I’ve definitely noticed a difference in how the ball is moving after being hit.

More line drives hanging up too long. More “auto-outs” like 110 exit velo line drives hit directly at someone to where they don’t even have to move. Tons of hits/outs at the very top of the wall or warning track. Release week it felt like those were dropping more frequently but maybe it’s a coincidence.

A few weeks ago, I asked for opinions on the ps5 vs ps4.
I bought the 5 last week, and all I can say is "Wow!"

I said the same thing when I got my PS5 two weeks ago. Just wait until you have to install a game update. It takes seconds compared to how long it took on the PS4.

Only drawback I see is that the screen flips to fast for me to see opponent's record.

And those [censored] birds! Now I know what people were complaint about when it first came out.

Yeah, the line-up screen loads so quickly, you can't see all of the opponents cards. I can usually pick up the records, but you can't blink or you will miss it.

the game does feel a tad different from launch and yes, the five gods at SS and 2B are back. SDS forgot to turn the switch on i guess.
