I would think SDS gets rid of Sets/expiring cards next year. The complaints about that have been relentless.

The complaints are always relentless about some aspect of the game every year.

That said, I do agree that they did a very poor jobs of spacing things out.

Here are the expired 99 overall cards for the Cardinals.

What am I looking forward to if that is the only 99 these guys get? Since that time we have gotten lesser versions of Ozzie, Edmonds, Gibson, and Walker.

I'm sorry if the prospect of being able to use these cards again in January does not motivate me to keep playing.

If showdowns eliminated entry fees and allowed you to continue from the fail point they would be a million times better. As it stands now the do or die is brutal and pushes most players away.

Considering you are a flawless player I’m sure showdowns are no problem for you. Congrats on being elite. Most players are casual and not elite so losing and having to start completely over on showdown sucks. So, no it would not be moments continued as you would still battle bosses and draft players along the way.

Showdown used to be like that, You use to be able to quit out except for boss missions. They have made show down so simple compared to when it first came out in 20. Being "casual"doesn't entitle you to easier things. Cod doesn't just hand out the gold camo's because it's hard, stop using "I'm not good enough" as a crutch.

I’m not making excuses. Simply stating that showdown is unnecessarily annoying. Most players are casuals and not flawless goons. We play the game to relax and enjoy fantasyland baseball with juiced up stats. You obviously take it much more seriously and want to sweat it out and be challenged. To each their own but I don’t play games to be stressed out against the CPU. If I want to push myself in a game then I’d do it online in ranked or BR not against the CPU in showdown. Personally I prefer to push myself in real life at work, in the gym, or with my family. I play the game to chill out. If the game is “too easy” for the elite players then maybe it’s time to challenge themselves in something that actually matters outside of a trivial game.

Never said you had no life, you did or assumed so based on the post. So clearly you know you are more hardcore about the game then the majority of players which is exactly my point. Congrats on the job, coaching, and youth groups. Doesn’t make you any less of a goon at the game or able to speak on behalf of those that aren’t elite flawless players, so like 95% or more of the player base.

A banner doesnt make one elite, anyone can go flawless or make ws, all it takes is having fun, i legit went flaws while having some noons and listening to some country! 0 sweating! Failure shouldn't be looked at as a negative, getting to simply remind yourself "I'm playing a video game" and the game becomes so much easier.

I had done August weeks 1 and 2 a while ago and just went in to finish weeks 3-5. Holy cow that is a ton of moments, and all of them are pretty boring! Why is SDS making me do this? I have to hit so many HR's with bad players now.

I think each week should have four 90-92 players that are easy to unlock (i.e. get two hits, strike out two batters) and then a 95-96 that you can unlock by using the four lower rank players to get xp.

Right there with you. If they come out an announce 24 will have Sets and wild cards I will not buy it.

Once had an 8 game streak and 14 of 15 away from the middle of June till July 1.

(Picked up 5 wins via quit. One of my most successful stretches of the season!)

AS I generally average 10-15hits a game. A lot of it depends on my ability to not swing at everything. Being patient makes a world of difference. It really unsettles the other player. (And me when the other guy is taking dots just missing!)

Connection wise. They really need to sort out the fact mLb stadiums still don’t play well and cause input lag in my opinion. You do notice on custom stadiums even away on a basic stadium the game plays smoothly.

I’m not convinced the connection to each other causes a problem. I play from the UK and barely get any lags which I notice. Yet again. I don’t play at peak US times so maybe that makes a difference.

HoF to me is horrible. I played a game earlier to get over 700 on it. I won 2-0 in 7. About 7 hits between us. Just isn’t fun tbh.

Want a small park on AS and lose 17-15 any day.

Phew I’ve been trying to give this another go and, while full of wonderful anecdotes these moments are constructed painfully in comparison to our usual fodder, which I must now say that I prefer. The multiple xbh moments are a slog especially…wonder why you can’t simply skip to the action quickly? I mean you can skip right through the stuff that’s actually interesting but cannot start play until you wait thru the music for 5 seconds? I’m sure they meant well but it plays so much different than how the others do, to the negative. The extra steps/time to restart the moment just shouldn’t be

Dude only hits 105 in the storyline. Dude rarely hits 100 when used in DD. He is not usable unless you want to give up tons of runs his pitches are impossible to tunnel. But have fun using him if you like him so much.

And when I went to make my selection...All the cards that I obtained previously through the XP reward path had the No Sell logo on them. (I locked these in to get Chipper already) Luckily, I purchased the remaining 2 and hadn't locked them in yet so I went with one of those. I know I could've quick sold them still for the same 10k, but if I'd obtained the pack earlier I could have missed out on quite a few stubs.

They are not a no sell. A lot of times if you already have a card that is locked in and get it from another pack it will say that on the selection screen but they are in fact sellable.

That's what I figured, but I didn't want to take a chance
