Just played a guy whose 8-24, I got 8 hits 0 runs off Degrom, and a perfect game through 8, and of course, after a hit batter (1-2 count) a couple bunts, a fake throw, another perfect bunt with infield in, he wins. What a cheesy trash game this is. Also 99 Walker and 99 Soriano are a combined 6 for 58, 0 home runs. Just trash. đź—‘

I just played a guy in the 500's. He struck out 15 times. I was using all horrible silver lineup doing a daily. My balls inside the PCI were doing nothing, couldn't even get hits. He hits 2 balls out of the zone in 9th to walk off. It is so bad you just have to laugh it off.

Let's see that box score. That would put an exclamation point on the fact this game is just Beaucoup Dien Cai Dau..for a better term.

Not sure how to do that but it was the game on 8/8 (today) at 2:05. Daily was silver OF runs so everyone in lineup was a silver OF except for Sanchez. Couldn't find one with C secondary.

Saw the game. Just weird you or your opponent didn't show as having a record for 2021.

I mean really..let's see that box score. You don't even seem to have an online record for 2021. You did play an opponent, who also doesn't have an online record that struck out 15 times.

Perhaps I'm reading your record wrong?

Don’t overthink it. This is a bad game. The servers are complete trash. You can make all the changes you want on your end, it isn’t gonna matter. With the exception of a few maybe on the coasts.

Servers/connections in this game are really bad and have been for some time. I have wired fiber. I rarely disconnect but I can play a 5 hour session and have an hour's worth of wtf moments. I think I am the king of weak hits against me and non-pci hr's. I think it was Friday night I had 4 non-pci hr's against me in 2 games. Warping pitch speeds are more prevalent now too.

In my experience it gets worse. A lot of the people that deal with this stuff move on to Madden which means the majority of the people left are the ones that don't see this stuff very much. That means more issues for the players that are already seeing them.

Ball has been hand to glove instantly for me on HOF. Yet, certain people can turn on 102 legend like it is slow pitch softball. The advantage certain people have is ridiculous and won't be fixed without server/match making adjustments.

Not gonna lie but I’d take less content and legends for some dedicated servers. Or if they don’t do that, atleast bring back the ping indicator they used to have years ago.. I had crappy internet then but games played more consistently I thought. I’d just back out of the pregame lobby if someone had a red ping. That would help some

We all would. But, content is cheap...really-really-really cheap..in more ways than one.

A stable and balanced network infrastructure...the opposite of really-really-really cheap. As long as people keep buying a company is not going to overhaul their infrastructure.

So I'm a noob that mostly plays offline.

Online I am 4-0 in ranked seasons so far and I had won my first Event game.

And then in my 2nd Event game....The guy hit 4 homers in a row off my Superfractored DeGrom and I think 6 homers in the first 9 batters. (before I quit)

Most of his guys had over .500 averages and 20 or so HR each for his online stats.

It was quite the reality check! I think his username had ketodiet or something in it.

The Game Engine randomly super-nerfs and super-buffs. I've been on both ends. The super-buffing (when you're receiving) you can swing anywhere in the zone and get the "echoing crack" sound-bit every time you hit a ball.

You realize it's not going to last long because the majority of opponents recognize it for what it is and they quit. And, I never blame them. Most I've ever got was 4 homerooms in a couple innings before opponent bails.

Typically, it's after that first home-run they know, themselves, was well pitched by a 99 Diamond pitcher and defied all logic.

The super-nerfing....just hang around and read some of the more "raging" threads. You'll find out all you need to know about AI nerfing in this game.

    And yet you'll play again.

    He might.

But many of us do not. Everyone has a threshold where it's, like, this is the final waste of an hour of my time on a game I put my best in, that rewards me with randomly generated animation.

We all have our tipping point.

    It was what it is.

The real way to prepare for an RS game is get a bowl of popcorn, some twizzlers (I prefer legal edibles), some soda (I prefer Jack and diet) leave your controller behind..doesn't play much a part. Start your match and just watch the game unfold. You'll just witness the coolest (often unusual) but typically misfit and unpredictable animation play out you've ever witnessed.

Do that 10 times and you'll have a pretty good buzz and a 5-5 record.

You don't care about everyone dying..you care about you dying.

The hypocrisy is visceral in everything you say. And, why we have a huge divide in this here country.

No, that's how you think, and you assume that everyone thinks the same as you do.

We would NEVER want anyone to die needlessly, and even though we are very low risk for severe illness, we got the vaccination to protect those who are at high risk. I can very easily get covid and have such a low reaction that I assume it's allergies or a mild cold. I can then expose several hundred kids to covid. Those kids would then go home to their parents and grandparents who ARE high risk, and some of them could die, all because I didn't take 3 minutes of my day to get a vaccine.

I'm sorry you think the way you do, but please don't assume we all think like you bud, most of us care about our fellow citizens.

    You're always right Doc.

Unfortunately most that don’t take this seriously until they get it or one of their loved ones get it and has severe long term effects or dies. My father in law acted like nothing was different and would yell at my wife and I to wear a mask when with us. That tune changed unfortunately when he and his wife got Covid. He got a mild case with some breathing issues but it went away after a few weeks. His wife, got double pneumonia, had to go on a ventilator, and died two weeks later. Now he doesn’t screw around with it but it took my wife’s stepmother dying from it to change his view.

Folks laugh about syphilis until they get it. Lot of funny stuff out there that can kill you. Even clowns.

Agreed, any diagnosis of a terminal condition is pretty sobering. But, people are born and then they die. A billion and a half different things that will get them.

Live your life to its fullest in between those 2 points of time.

And who cares who you hurt or kill in the process so you can live your life to the fullest. People should take basic precautions for the safety of everyone. We should be working together to get through this. Then again, I’m learning most only care about themselves and don’t worry about the damage they do to others. They didn’t die from it so it doesn’t concern them. I had a low opinion of humanity before Covid and Covid now it pretty much confirms it. We live in the most selfish society where people don’t care about anything past their nose.

That hokey, corny, beyond belief piece of dung statement "we're all in this together" is just plain propaganda. Because a little over half the country believes the other half are Azzholes. They, for sure, ain't in on anything with the azzholes.

Again, you parrots need to quit watching/reading CNBC, CNN, and all the other liberal controlled media outlets. Think for yourselves. You really shouldn't let partisan agendas, which controls the media, spoon-feed you.

    But, as I told Doc..you're right 1+1=3..enjoy.

One last thought. Most of that epiphany came from the fact I'm pretty satisfied I outed you and several of your identities.

Something else I was chuckling about as I was running along..how you absolutely melted down when I pointed out a couple catch-phrases several of your profiles have in common. Undeniable. That, was worth the price of admission. And your likely status as a moderator as well.

So, moving forward if 'ol Doc says "1 plus 1 = 3" I'm gonna say you are absolutely correct Doc..enjoy!

The variant is ravaging Vegas I'd stay and wait out this w if I were you that's wayyy safer than risking your life for stupid family and friends time

Odds of dying from delta-variant of COVID-19 when vaccinated: 1:27,000

Odds of being struck by lightening: 1:15,300

Someone is nearly twice as likely to be struck by lightening than they are to die from the Delta Variant!

I'd say going to Vegas to see friends and family is not "risking your life"!!! 🤷

Somehow I get the impression that your background in math is suspect, and the odds you stated are not calculated by any accepted method.

The 1:27,000 came from the CDC (which I would say they do unacceptable calculations due to calling deaths from car accidents and shootings to be included at Covid deaths which would make that number much larger!)

The 1:15,300 came from the National Weather Service and their stat for being struck by lightening over an "80-year lifetime"

You should probably look up information yourself and not rely on the boobtube to tell you what to believe!

But, hey, if you want to be paralyzed by the fear-mongering of your masters, you be you!

Also, I was a nuclear engineer, so I'm pretty confident in my math skills!

Can't argue with bubbleheads and lemmings about covid, vaccinations, masks, or politics. They've learned all they need from the media and it's the truth, 'cause the media says so..

But, bottom line, most are just high-level narcissists that are so phobic and terrified (thanks to their fearmongering media) of any potential harm coming to themselves they would cover themselves in feces daily if the media said strong repugnant odors keep away microscopic bugs. And, obviously, never question it because their terror is so deep they can't recognize logic or the absence of anymore. That's how mind control works.

Surely not the ones I would want on my side if things got real. Just too many [censored]-cats in this world. Well, about half of this country. Thank God for the other half.

It's funny. I work at a national laboratory and where I live is a small community where mainly everyone is a research scientist or engineer. At work, you can guess who "doesn't believe in COVID". It's the utility workers, the drivers, security staff. Go figure.

It's obviously inhumane, but I feel like those who espouse view such as yours... Well go right ahead. You guys should get a card or a tattoo to identify yourselves. If you ever show up at a hospital with COVD-related medical issues, you should be promptly denied any care. It would also be nice if we could make a nice little commune for the unvaccinated. I like to think of it as a case-study in vaccine efficacy.

I suppose you see nothing ethically wrong with that, because it's overblown, vaccines don't work, you're healthy and don't need to worry, etc.

Look, I know what your misguided rhetoric is trying to suggest..only "da dummies" and lower-level lifeforms argue with the media and deny. Well, nothing could be farther from the truth.

You do realize that, as recently as early July, the majority (over 50%) of those employed by CDC were not vaccinated.

It's the people that are very well researched and educated by sources other than the lying media that make the decisions to forego a vaccine that, apparently, isn't very effective (just follow the list of athletes that have been vaccinated and then get the bug).

And, the only reason you see these instances is because it's way too public to hide..even though they are trying. 9% of the "vaccinated" athletes have contracted the bug. I have yet to see an instance of a non-vaccinated athlete getting the bug. And there are many of them, but their agents encourage them to keep their personal preferences on the down-low because of the cancel culture in the media.

Look, if you believe in the vaccine and masks and all that...good for you. at least half the country does not. 10 years from now we could probably all revisit this issue with a lot more clarity, understanding, and absence of heated emotion.

"Employed" by the CDC means mothing. As I mentioned about my workplace, the CDC likely has more support staff - HR, payroll, security, administrative assistants, editors, etc. on payroll than they do scientists. If your product is data and reports, how many scientists do you think it takes to produce that as compared to the amount of staff needed to make an entire organization function?

I am willing to be if you looked at those who work directly in R&D, especially engineers and scientists, the number would exceed 80%.

And they also have doctors, nurses, scientists, and other assorted eggheads that are part of that 50%. I took my 93-year-old Grandpa to the doctor a few weeks back for a checkup. He doesn't believe in the vaccination.

So, when his doctor (had his practice for 35 years) asked him if he wanted the vax Grandpa said no and in his cantankerous way added "it's all bullshot". The MD laughed and said "I don't blame you, I'm not getting it either".

Sister-in-law just retired 1 month ago as an ER RN. She doesn't believe in the vaccine and says "the majority" of physicians she knows personally that confide said they aren't getting the vaccine either. For a variety of reasons. But, these guys ain't broom-pushing janitors or mop-jockeys as you like to demean. When I see cats like this that should be in the know refuse the vax. Makes me believe I'm prob making the right decision myself.

Could send you a pic of a friend of mine that developed Bell's palsy one week to the day after getting the 2nd Moderna. It's him with acupuncture needles in his face (his 8th session) trying anything to fix the paralysis he's had for the last 6 months. He hasn't been able to close his eyelids for 6 months..That, to me, is a bummer. His wife at the very same time one week after 2nd dose started developing symptoms of MS and was diagnosed with having MS.

I always gotta go with my instincts and those experiences that I personally know of. I've never known anyone that has been hospitalized with Covid. I've known a dozen or so that have tested positive with asymptomatic Covid.

Even one close buddy that couldn't taste doritoes for about a week. And couldn't smell his grill when he was cooking up brisket. Which was a semi-bummer for him, but he pulled through it with no scars.

I, personally, have been all over the country since the "scamdemic" broke. Been on the packed beaches of Southern Fla. Been on the packed shores and boats in the Ozarks during 4th of July weekend 2020. I've been in several jumping bars. 3 SRO baseball games this year. Probably many more instances of "putting my life on the line", but I fear Covid about like I would the flu.

The flu kills. I had SARS a few years back, kicked my [censored] pretty bad. But I sure as heck ain't going to let my fear of anything make me mask up and cower in fear, locked down, away from my family and friends, because the lying media says I should.

That's all I have to say. I'll re-hash this 'ol stale line. You do you..I'll do me.

I'm sure you can grasp this, but the anecdotal evidence of a doctor and a nurse who don't want to get vaccinated is fairly meaningless. Besides the fact we already know not all doctors and all nurses would get the vaccine, we know resoundingly the consensus opinion is they support and encourage people to go get vaccinated. This isn't up for debate - it's an objective fact.

Notwithstanding, it's anecdotal evidence, and from your "catfishing" thread, I think it's safe to say your credibility is suspect and you were received as a kook, irrespective of your views on COVID and vaccines.

Anecdotal is relative. True coincidence is rare. Do you think I might be part of the majority with these same anecdotal? Could be.

Just, folks, don't believe everything the media tries to convince you of. Go with your own experiences. 2nd hand news is no news.

excellent idea. I'm vaccinated, my wife is vaccinated, my step son is vaccinated. My step-son spent the summer in one of the most infected countries in the world, he just tested negative for covid despite being exposed to it for the last 3 months. My experience says "Thank God he is smart".

That's great. No one in my family or circle of friends (at least 40-50) are vaccinated. So, none have been subjected to known short-term consequences of the Vax. Long-term..all bets are off.

Again, to each their own. Doctors have been telling me to get the flu shot since I was a kid. I did after my bout with the SARS. Still got the flu 3 years later. My personal experience indicates makes no difference. What makes a difference? Predisposition. There are studies that say (and studies are studies..just like potential is potential) anyone that had SARS is immune to Covid.

Who knows, too many lies spread by the media to hang on to anything.

But, Doc, I'm proud of you for doing what you believe to be the right thing, That's all each of us can do.

Actually a narcissist is someone that ONLY cares about themselves, and generally lacks the ability to have any kind of emotional feelings or thoughts about how their actions might impact others.

A good example of a Narcissist would be someone saying "My immune system is healthy, I won't get vaccinated". While they themselves might not die, staying unvaccinated risks the health of all of the other folks they come in contact with. So.....maybe don't use a word that describes you so well?

Ok Doc. You've got the copyright on the word Narcissist too. Fact is, Freud said we're all narcissists at heart. I'll quote the great one - narcissism "is the libidinal complement to the egoism of the instinct of self-preservation," Doc, we start developing that before we fall out of the crib. The most human instinct.

There are just some that forgo life in order to self-preserve. Putting themselves ahead of their family and friends. Rationalize I'm masking up and hiding out to protect everyone else but myself. We know the truth. We're developing a country of Howard Hugh's without all the $billions.

It's not a sign of weakness necessarily..just a sign of a much higher-level of narcissism.

You’re the quintessential example of the Dunning-Kruger Effect; the fact that the most incompetent people fail to realize their incompetence and think they’re experts in everything because they lack the intelligence to realize their incompetence.

Science? You don’t listen because you have two-minute segments from your favorite podcaster instead. Education? You know all about it because you paid taxes and drove by a school once.

You’re a pseudo “independent thinker” and everyone else is “sheep” while you’re superior in your critical thinking because you heard a conspiracy theory that filled a gap in your lack of knowledge.

I'm sorry..what? Did you say something?

Difficulty - I don't doubt that the listed difficulty is accurate in terms of PCI size and pitch speed, but the outcomes after the swing are pretty clearly less rewarding to the hitter than in other modes. Some clarity on this would be nice.

Good point. It's as if they blow-up the PCI size to reflect rookie or whatever, but still have it in HoF mode relative to outcomes. Don't know that we'll ever get clarity on this though.

You've got great points, but most of what you mentioned is the "smoke and mirrors" intentionally (not accidentally) coded into this game to make it "exciting" while also dictating outcomes and the resulting animation they queue up to paint on your screen to support the outcome without a lot of emphasis on controller input.

I just don't see them fixing an intended design.
