Do they become worthless at the end of the game cycle? Yes....But speaking as someone who has lost a parent & a child I’ll just say this...Live every day as if it could be your last. Allow yourself to splurge on things that you enjoy & make you happy because you just never know what’s around the corner.

Ok, First of all...Why do people come up with the notion that players who choose to spend money on the game are spending their last dollars remaining in their bank account & that this transaction will lead to them being homeless? Don’t you think it’s far more likely that $1500 is just not a big deal to them?
Second...Time is money. If you have 12-15 hours a day to grind & go the NMS path then awesome...Not everyone does. I only get to play 2-3 hours at night. But I love baseball & want to play with the fun cards & am comfortable financially so I spend some money so I can maximize my playing time doing what I enjoy the most which is ranked seasons. Personally I get real bored real quick playing the cpu - That’s just me. I also don’t find it fun working the market. I just want to sit down, Play a couple games with a fun squad before I go to bed.

Of all the legends revealed so far...No legend has gotten me more excited than seeing the legendary corn field from Field of Dreams now in the game. I am beyond happy about this. Thank you SDS.
DD is much better than MUT. The Show doesn’t have the scam that is training. No chemistry nonsense & no time sucks like weekend league. This game will be like a breath of fresh air for you.
I think it will be easier in the lower levels stacking up wins but once you get to 800+ you’re gonna be playing other good players so it won’t be any easier than previous years to make WS.
I was always NMS until last year when they made Mantle the reward. As a Yankees fan I had to have him ASAP & didn’t want to wait until August to finally get him the NMS path so I dropped $1300 day one to get him. Mantle was that player for me...Who is it for you?

At first I used to think it was crazy that people would spend hundreds if not thousands on one year of the game... but it all depends what you get out of it. If you play 1,000 hours a year of MLBTS and truly enjoy it, then spending $1,000 is actually cheap, safe entertainment. Few fun things in life cost $1 an hour.
And for some people, they can say “I earn X dollars per hour at my job, and grinding would take me 100 hours to get what I want... isn’t it just cheaper in a time/money perspective for me to buy stubs and skip the grind?” Which yeah, it very well might be.
As you said, life can be short and nobody is promised anything. Just do what brings you enjoyment while you’re here. I like the feeling of grinding out a reward, but everyone should find what works for them and not worry so much about what other people do or don’t do.

Personally there’s no real player to make me spend 1000 I just play it by ear. Last year I dropped like 400 but I felt it not to be worth it because the stubs and the cards were pretty easy to get.

That’s just it, I had never spent money before last year & am not planning on spending any this year. It was just last year because it was the Mick...That was the only player that made me say F it, Let’s do this! lol....Because I do enjoy the grind, But last year I HAD TO have him ASAP. My original post just said that I was always no money spent until last year when Mantle was introduced & that he was literally the only player in history that could get me to dip into the bank account. Then I asked who that one player is for everyone else...Just thought it would be a fun discussion & to hear all the unique answers.

Going to hop right into the live series collection & start putting in buy now orders for all the diamonds. Once I reach my order limit I’ll go work on my uniforms. Then go back into the collection & put in buy now orders for all golds then go play some BR. Then I’ll go back into the collection & put in buy orders for all remaining cards...Lastly I’ll come on here with the 99 Hank Aaron collection rewards and say “Look what I did - NMS!!!” Totally lying but do it just to agitate the real NMS crowd 
This guy was beating me 8-1 in the 4th inning when I get invited to his party. He tells me how he has had diarrhea and feels it coming on & wanted to know if I could please quit...I said no, But I’ll take a friendly quit - He said no & I then said ok & left the party. We reach the 6th inning & the score hasn’t changed & the friendly quit comes over. At this point I realize he wasn’t lying & actually has to [censored]. So I reject the friendly quit & watch the timer keep ticking down until it hit zeroes & I got the win. That is my favorite memory.
I’m curious to see if SDS fixes the friendly quit scam in 21...It can be eliminated by simply adding a 2nd prompt saying “Are you SURE you want to FRIENDLY QUIT?”.....This would eliminate this tactic completely.

It's always that CS to WS gap that is the toughest grind. By far the worst lol
It’s so depressing lol...Since 2016 I have come within 1 game of making WS multiple times each year & just never gotten matched up with someone I can beat. And I beat guys with the WS banner all the time! I just never get matched up with one of those guys when it’s a win & in scenario lol. Maybe me switching to xbox this year will help, Who knows.
I’m gonna go with Max Scherzer...Fits the bill.

Honestly dude - Catcher is the best position for your CAP. If you go with the balanced option you can have a switch hitting catcher with good power, insane defense & the swing & height that you hit best with. I use my CAP at catcher every year. It’s essentially Posada but with 99 defense & 99 arm.
