Good luck. Can't wait to hear your opinion when you're 895 rated and lose to a guy who fouls off every pitch thrown miles out of the strike zone and hits bloopie after bloopie after bloopie before burying you with a grand slam on a perfectly executed pitch that went right down the middle.
Get good
Next time there's an event that @raesONE_PSN plays, check the leader boards and see if you still Sammamish make this cliche Twitter statement. At least you spelled good without a U though.
Are you flexing someone else's events record on me?
I mean if you're gonna resort to the cliche "get good" line, pick someone you could beat. Like me. I'm awful. Last night I got one cheap single in a 3 inning game and then got thrown out because I still haven't figured out how to run the bases properly. You can tell me to get good.
If you were kidding, then kudos. I just don’t get the "ratio, touch grass, get good I can't think of my own jokes" lines that fill online forums and Twitter. If that's a flex then yeah I guess I was.
I was kidding, raesONE is a good player. I could beat him though.
Fair enough, I guess by my own logic, I have no idea how good you are. I can safely say either of you would beat haha.

if an opponents batters, a majority of them are batting over 300. they are using timing only or directional. somehow timing only is an option online. so they just power swing the whole time and this game rewards them. its garbage
This is lol, not true at all.
this is true...you will not bat over 300 with every player using zone. it wont happen. not even the greatest player ever would be able to do that. Its only timing and directional that can have multiple batters over 300 over 40 games. If you think else youre not too bright.
I am batting .280 with Realmuto, and over .328 with all 7 other hitters. Zone.
Also top players every year prove you wrong, they never have someone in their lineup below .300, to them if their batter is hitting .300, it's a bad card
youve literally played 3 games on probably veteran difficulty....re read my comment i said over 40 games.
Please check my stats from last year. I haven't used anything other than zone since 2017.

Lol yankee fans "but but babe Ruth, but but but in 1920...."
Babe Ruth played 20 years before Jackie Robison broke the color barrier. The talent in the league today is unreal. Might be baseball blasphemy, but I wouldn't be shocked if babe Ruth was just a run of the mill DH in today's game.
Athletes in every sport have gotten bigger, stronger, and faster since we started tracking these things. Why would mlb pitchers be any different? I know there were probably a few guys back them that could probably hit the low 90s, but call me crazy. I just don't think the average pitcher, Whitey Willabe McGroover, fresh off the farm was bringing a 97+ to the plate like the majority of pitchers are today.
Ruth was the best of his time. He has left behind one of, if not the biggest, legacies in professional sports. That's his place. Can't compare players 100 years apart
Ruth didn’t choose when he was born + if it was so easy back then why was Ruth still so much better than his peers
Guys like Feller and Koufax, Gibson, and Matthewson WERE throwing 95+ right off the farm.
Different game though.
Those guys used wicked movement and control.
Today, pitchers are such great athletes that they 100+ with movement.
Games evolve. The games evolve but when it comes down to it you compare players to the guys the played against and shouldn’t discredit old legends just because they played in a different era, that isn’t fair
I would never discredit the accomplishments of past athletes, but the argument you brought up was greatest SEASON. Ruth never pitched and hit in the same season. Cannot take parts of his career and combine them. That is why Ohtani's is so impressive. As a season, like I said before, I think people who think it is possibly the greatest have an argument.
I myself would probably take Ruths 1921 season over Ohtanis 2021.
You also have to decide how much value is contributed by Ohtani being elite at both while only taking up one roster spot, which we don't have numbers for yet.
Even if there was an argument to be made here, we have 26 man rosters now. Ruth didn’t.
Are you saying there isn't an argument to be made here? As if having not 1, but 2 less replacement level players on the team isn't valuable?

I'm alright with Brett being a boss. I was wrong on who I thought it was. With the clues I really thought it was Larkin....11 time all-star, mvp recipient, and played for only 1 team. I wonder how many guys fit into that.
There is like 5 I think. Mantle, Banks, Larkin, Brett, and Ripken. It was the attribute preview that gave it away. Power vs L was the lowest hitting attribute. The other 4 are lefty killers
Larkin rips!
He really does

@raesone_psn said in Number of questions about DD mechanics:
This thread is mostly directed to the moderators of this forum, @Collin_SDS_PSN @SDS_Jax_PSN @Victor_SDS_PSN and maybe other mods that I'm not aware of.
I've been around these forums for a few years now and I can't help but notice the lack of communication, help and/or explanations behind certain gameplay elements. All you guys seem to do is police this forum (inconsistently as well I may say), and even though I understand and agree that policing these forums is neccessary, I feel like you guys could (maybe even should) take on a larger role than just slamming the ban hammer around. This thread is not meant as a way of giving you guys a hard time, but this is genuinely how I feel and I'm fairly certain more people around here would agree with this sentiment.
So I have written down a number of questions that I have had for years surrounding DD and gameplay mechanics in general. It would be awesome if you guys took some time to answer them, as they are pretty straight forward questions in my opinion.
Note that I'm looking for numbers and metrics that we can apply, not for explanations about a mechanic or how it works/what it does. For example, in FPS games like COD they communicate the exact "time to kill" per weapon/attachment/perk and so on. They give you the exact numbers they work with. I'm looking for the same type of information here.
- How does pitcher stamina regeneration work in DD (how much % regains per X games rested)? It does not work, stamina is a myth.
- Is there a difference in stamina regeneration between RP/CP and SP, and if so, how does it differ? ^ Stamina is still a myth.
- Does the vision attribute only affect the size of the area of being able to foul off pitches, or does it also narrow/widen the timing windows, and if so, how is this calculated (For example having a vision attribute of 80+ gives you 5ms extra on the "good timing" window, or widen the green area on the swing feedback)? It does widen the timing window. With zero vision, you cannot physically hit the baseball. With each point of vision added, 5 minutes is added to the perfect/perfect timing window.
- How exactly does the clutch attribute translate in Diamond Dynasty gameplay? I have heard it gives a "small boost" with RISP when the clutch rating is high, but exactly how large and what kind of a boost is given at exactly what rating threshold? There is no such thing as clutch. That's why Jeter wasn't nearly as good as you think he was, Cowboys fans.
- Same goes for pitching clutch, how exactly does this translate for pitchers in DD gameplay? How much and what kind of a boost (or penalty) is given if the PCLT rating is at a certain threshold? ^ Clutch still doesn't exist.
- How does HR/9 affect the hitting outcome and generated exit velocity? With 99 HR/9 it is physically impossible to give up a homerun. The way this is justified is that a pitcher with 99 HR/9 generates so much gravity that he simply sucks the ball back into the field of play. Looking at you, Bartolo.
- What exactly are the thresholds for pitcher confidence and what exact boosts/penalties are integrated with these thresholds? More confidence = bigger genitals.
- How exactly does yellow/red pitcher energy affect the outcome of the at bat? Does it only mean locating pitches becomes harder, or does it also mean that hitting input from your opponent is more forgiving, and if so, what are the numbers behind this? Think of it like green light, yellow light, red light. Green light: you're rolling, just keep on cruising with your pitcher. Yellow light: this means it's time to panic, you can either pull him so fast you'd make Kevin Cash envious, or you can go the La Russa route and just get a DUI. Red light: IT'S TOO LATE STEP ON IT! (Traffic lights are just a suggestion anyway.) What were we talking about?
- Does the baserunning aggressiveness attribute in DD affect how fast a player runs the bases, or is just a simulation attribute like some users have implied? It does nothing, just like Ramone did nothing that one time in Amsterdam.
- How exactly is a PVP match set up from a networking perspective and what would be ideal to keep the latency as low as possible? MacDonalds wifi is key.
- How does a batter's tendency influence an at bat precisely? Are the timing windows for example larger on inside pitches, when the batter's tendency is extreme pull? Tendencies only matter if you're a nerd. Seriously, stop trying to ruin baseball with your advanced analytics like "batting average" and "runs batted in".
If anyone else comes up with additional questions that I might have forgotten, please add them in this thread so we can hopefully get some clarification on these topics. I think many, if not all of them, are very easy to answer if you have those numbers and if you're willing to share them (I wouldn't see why not?).
Thank you in advance for your efforts and I'm looking forward to your replies.
Added questions from other users:
- does warming up a pitcher make any difference? @lewisnadasurf1_PSN Yes, if you warm your pitcher, he will no longer need a jacket. I'd suggest using a campfire because the carbon emissions are minimal. #savetheoceans
- Does confidence effect pinpoint input and if so how? @Kovz88_PSN Read above about confidence. I don't feel comfortable saying genitals, pinpoint, and input all in the same sentence.
- Why don’t you respond to your community? @Bounceman75_PSN WHAT AM I DOING RIGHT NOW BOUNCEMAN!?!?!
- Do hot and cold zones affect gameplay at all? @nash_524_PSN No, but they are a disaster when talking about tropical storms. Seriously guys #savetheoceans
- Why is the feedback broken? I.E. the no PCI Homeruns @Chrono_Omega_PSN Because we can't fix it, we've tried.
- What gives a larger boosts to pitcher confidence...throwing strikes in the zone or throwing out of zone pitches for missed swings? Do they differ at all in terms of confidence boost @EarvGotti_XBL Bigger genitals = more confidence. It goes both ways.
- Does h/9 only impact how large an opponent’s pci is or also their exit velocity on squared up pitches? @jacksonvance35 What's "H/9"? I'm gonna have to check with the dev team on that one, I've literally never heard of "H/9" before.
Few of you know this but I am actually a dev. I have answered all of your questions above. With Luv, @sds_IIJACKINTHBOXII

The Catcher Pop Time quirk is a game changer to me though, because you will shut down any run or speed cheese game with Realmuto behind the dish.
I'm pretty sure this perk just means the catcher has 85+ arm strength.
96 Wieters has an arm strength of 99, but doesn't have this quirk. On top of that all his d stats are better than 98 Realmuto. 90 Rutschman also has an arm strength of 85, but also doesn't have it.
Interesting... very interesting
