It’s almost like in an actually game you can scorch a ball and still make an out...but that would be too realistic for you actually making an out huh

Seems pretty easy to see in this game that if more than half the ball is in strike zone it’s a strike and less than half it is not.

A bunch of randos posting on a message board != "consensus clearly voiced". They have the metrics behind the scenes that tells them exactly what the user engagement rates and dropoff percentages are.

If it's significant, than you'll see major structural changes to compensate.

If it's not (as I suspect is the case), you can continue crying into your oatmeal.

Read the forums and play the game. I obviously don't have the stats on hand. However, if you take a look at sales over the last few years, obviously there's a regression (clearly sales are up in 2020 due to covid, so this is an outlier).

• 2015 MLB 15: The Show - 400,000 (PS3), 1.01 million (PS4), 40,000 (PSV)
• 2016 MLB The Show 16 - 380,000 (PS3), 960,000 (PS4)
• 2017 MLB The Show 17 - 1.16 million
• 2018 MLB The Show 18 - 1.06 million

If the game was getting better, there's a minimal chance that sales would drop ~10% on a YTY basis, especially as they have minimal competition.

A drop in sales probably has more to do with number of actual baseball fans than the game. The game is alot of fun to play, too bad you don't enjoy it
