Pitching on All Star
-
A lot of us will never get out of All Star.
What I’m curious is ... what makes a decent All Star pitcher (card)
Yes I know the usual response ... everyone is trash in all star and yadda yadda yadda.
Pitchers that are great on HOF are not necessarily good on All Star
So which type of pitchers do you look for on All Star ? Fastball speed? What pitches are must have ?

Just pitch with who you like pitching with. If you come up against a good hitter he's going to hit you no matter who you use.

Here is the difference between last year and this year. 19 you could use a rotation of guys who were allstar level pitchers, then you had your hof or up rotation. This year it doesn’t matter, pitching is horrendous and every pitcher gets destroyed on allstar,

Guys with good velocity and off speed stuff. Seaver has been good for me on all star. Wood too. I've been having fun using Blyleven - I've had two bad starts with him recently but I think I wasn't using the fb enough

Also at the lower levels of all star fast balls usually do the trick. Kerry Wood, Nolan Ryan, etc. dominate. Once you get to 600 or so, it's good to have guys who aren't one trick ponies

For me personally prestige Walter Johnson is lights out until I reach 700, then he throws BP... but I think it has more to do with the opponents ability to hit/read the fastball more than anything

Feller and Walter Johnson. Learn how to use them. Not giving that away here.
All Star is a lot easier to pitch on now that they messed with hitting again (around a month back).
It’s not HR derby anymore.

For people who say you get destroyed with any pitcher on all star probably doesn’t know how to mix pitches well. I’ve had success with the same pitchers on all star as any other difficulty
